- How to remove the camshaft from m113 Mercedes engine v6 w220 , to inspect it , replace it and learn more about your engine . This is a SOHC ( A SINGLE OVERHEAD CAMSHAFT ) so it's mocu simpler than regular 4 cylinder engine , less friction and an increase in efficinecy for it's time .

very nice video ! but what do you mean 50nm ? the rocker arms are tightened by the book at 10nm + 90deg, which is about 15nm total .. its soft alu head, cant do 50nm or it will rip it all apart, 50nm + 90deg is for the big cam bolt, not rocker arms, please correct this info or u'll cause ppl to break bolts
The v6 is the M112
hey my friend, why did you turn the engine counter clockwise???
You made that look incredibly easy
why didn't you remove tension from the timing chain prior to unbolting the cam?
Very interesting the camshaft removal video for the V6-M112 for an E320. Do you have a similar one for the head gasket replacement on this car. Or, at least with a similar one? The Diesel E220 Head Gasket replacement video is not representative of this car.
Hi ! Unfortunately I do not have ; on the V6 M112 I belive the engine must be removed in order to do the head gasket replacement ..
Very nice Thank you sir
hey do you know the part number of the screws to tighten the camshaft bearing bridge?
Awesome video.. would this be the same process for e55 M113 V8? Thanks
It will be a little more challenging
@@doit_vehicles thats what I was thinking too.. thanks for the reply!! I'll do my proper research..
@@mmkevguy7973 did you find it for V8? Thanks
I did it in 1 Day on m113
Awesome video, what repair manual are you using?
Good video. I’m replacing the head gasket on a 2006 S430. After you turned to the 40degree mark you turned the camshaft again before putting the cable ties on the timing chain. What were you lining up? I have the WIS but it’s not clear to a novice on the timing chain. Any help would be appreciated.
What do you want to do with this car?
where i can find screws "order "for V8 m113 ?
the M113 was a V8 not a V6, the V6 was the M112
You need to open lifters to let oil out.
On 02:24 when the sprocket is out, didnt you move the timing?
no because when installing it back it will only go on if it's timed
What happens if you dont turn it to 45 degrees?
I never seen the effects of that but I guess overtime the shaft will suffer from getting a slack and eventually fail ?
It's M112 not 113
