  • I feel really good about this interpetation of how Charlotte Emily functions within the FNAF Timeline. Like of course I still think the main protagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's is Michael Afton, but a lot of this story depends on the ambition and care of Charlotte.

      With Charlie making FNaF World, to try to restore the spirits, I find it interesting who the first unlocked characters are.
      In the video, Rye states that, since Fazbear Entertainment used parts of the Withered to make the Toy animatronics, the spirits possessing the Withereds were "cut". And at the end of FNaF 2, the newspaper states that the Toys will be scrapped, and the Withereds refurbished for a new pizzeria, making them the FNaF 1 cast.
      And in FNaF World, the first 8 characters are the FNaF 1 cast, with one part of each spirit, and the Toy animatronics, with the other. Charlie has managed to bring the seperated spirits together, and they now have a peaceful world where to live.

    (Thoughts before the video premieres) Honestly, i think Charlie and Cassidy (Afton's biggest oppositions) needed more screen time in the games. If Scott ever remakes Fnaf 1, there needs to be MCI minigames, showing William luring the MCI kids away.
    At least Charlie had a full book trilogy based on an alternate series of events. I personally think Charlie's spirit possessed the 3rd charlie bot, hence why she keeps remember Sammy and the kidnapping. Memories i doubt Henry would want his daughter to remember.
    Although, like Cassidy, we need to have more characterisation for Game/Puppet Charlie, since the only characterisation we have is from the UCN puppet, and her book robot copies.
    None of which is ACTUALLY game Charlie, just counterfeits of the original. (I doubt Puppet charlie would pull a 4th charlie with "hey carlton. You have me all alone to yourself" XD)

    • @dragovidd
      @dragovidd Месяц назад +9

    • @thedarkdevil1661
      @thedarkdevil1661 Месяц назад +8

      @dragovidd In regards to Sammy, Fun What if here, but (this may sound a bit weird considering the "oak tree" thing that has been there since book 1, but nothing else really contradicts it) I honestly think it would've been better for the Silver Eyes Trilogy if John was revealed to be Sammy under a new name.
      In book 1, the only thing that goes against it is the "oak tree" scene. Also, John seemed to want to tell Charlie something. Although in TTO, it was just a "I love you," it didn't have to be romantic love. Plus, their date to the movies in TTO isn't out of the blue for syblings to do.
      Then the Fourth Closet has a lot of scenes/character moments, like John knowing Baby isn't Charlie, and being confrontational with Baby that could've been explained as Sammy knowing about Henry's Robot Charlie, until he moved and changed his name.
      But then there's the big "Sammy doesn't even know you exist" thing from Baby, making Sammy a completely mute point/character in retrospect of the books. It would've been a good plot point if John was Sammy, and Baby had suspicions about it, based on how aggressive he was towards her.
      Also, the Graphic Novel makes John look a LOT like Henry as is.
      Of course, the Fourth Closet exists, Sammy is nothing in the grand scheme of things, and John is in love with Charlie.
      Kinda sad that didn't happen, though cause the main point of the last book was on Carlton + MCI/Michael, and Charlie vs Baby set ups.

    • @dragovidd
      @dragovidd Месяц назад +5

      @@thedarkdevil1661 Yeah, that would actually be pretty interesting. Hmmm... Maybe Sammy could be the Crying Child? William keeping one of his bictims alive just for revenge isn't out of character for him. Hanery was a neglecting father, so being a better father to him than Henry ever was could came to his mind. Maybe adoption, kidnapping or throught marriage he might have took Sammy.

    • @thedarkdevil1661
      @thedarkdevil1661 Месяц назад +6

      @dragovidd I've personally never liked that one. It sounds like what William did with the Fourth Charlie, taking someone of Henry's and making them part of his own "ONE BIIIIIGGGG HAPPY FAMILY".
      Although, I think the thing that point refers to is William seeing Charlie has possessed the puppet, and so tries to create a Controlled version of her death (Realising they need to die within distance of an animatronic), via the funtimes tooo........MILD success. So he instead decides to do it himself, then Charlie notices and "Pulls a Carlton/Abby", making the spirits remember their killer ("THIS is the bad man"/"They can see you now.")

      @dragovidd Месяц назад +2

      @@thedarkdevil1661 Yeah, but William taking Charlotte-Bot and putting his name on it is something that only happened in the books. But it could be a paralel to him taking Sammy. But I think adoption is more believable than kidnapping. After all, In the FNAF 1 newspaper it says that someone was found guilty of the crimes. Since William is in FNAF 1 during the events of FNAF 1 it was Henry who was in prison. Someone had to take care of Sammy. And we don't know what happened to their mom in the games.

    In the world of FNAF, there’s never a true hero, only flawed hero’s.
    Michael is a flawed hero, because he bullied his brother and unintentionally caused him to die. While he did sacrifice his life to undo everything William has done, if Michael didn’t cause his brother to die, William wouldn’t have snapped. Granted, William is at fault too, because he could have been a better parent, by telling Mike to not bullying Crying Child, but clearly he didn’t do enough.
    Then we have Charlie, the spirit inside the puppet. Yes, she had a good intention to “save them”, but she unintentionally gave the kids the ability to move around in the suits, but caused more issues, and made William want to dismantle the robots to gather the remnant.
    Finally we have Henry. He’s honestly my least favorite protagonist, not just because of his negligence, but his lack of common sense. Instead of Henry making sure Charlie wouldn’t most likely get locked out, he has a security puppet do all the work. Not to mention he leaves William in the Bonnie suit in the safe room, and just seals it off without properly disposing William. I think Henry’s biggest fault, was Pizza Sim. If he stuck around after the fire, he could have checked to see if anything may have survived the fire. Even he doesn’t know how the souls are trapped inside of the machines, so you’d think he would make sure there won’t be any mistakes made.
    Overall, I think Henry is the biggest flawed hero, with Michael being decently better. Let me know what you guys think.

    • @HenrySteinsTrauma
      @HenrySteinsTrauma Месяц назад +2

      Michael killing the crying child didn't necessarily cause william to go crazy. If you consider the crying child to be alive during Elizabeths death, then all the animatronics would've already been child killers, meaning that it really isn't Michaels fault.

      I think Henry never was a true hero. He just wants to end everything once and for all for good. While that's sounds "heroic" it doesn't make him a hero, just a man doing what he's gotta do. And about the security puppet one, to be fair he's a busy man(he's the ceo) and he can't keep an eye on everything all at once let alone his daughter especially during work, so it make sense atleast to me that he make a robot to do the security.

    Do you think that lefty could be a refurbished carnie? This is a very long shot, im talkin 100 yard football kick, but it's just some fun thoughts that could conjure up something in the community.
    If you look at burnt carnie's model, you can just barely see that his right eye is more withered. You may have to squint. But say that at that time his right eye got replaced because it was the most damaged of the two, after decades of collecting dust and rotting away, the untouched eye could have decayed to the point of becoming black. As Henry repared carnie to become lefty, the original eye may have stayed or been replaced with a new black eye for a unique touch.
    A more realistic approach could be the lefty's design is INSPIRED by his burnt orginal. The eye rotted eye i just mentioned could have inspired the black eye detail.
    One specific character of that I think could drive home this theory is the color. Burnt carnie is a muted brown with white char accents. But if you were to scrape all of burnt plastic off, you be left with a black tarnished metal. Notice that lefty is not solid black, but a metalic, gun metal black.
    I think it is possibe that lefty is either a repaired version of carnie, with it's new design based on the chared scraps of the original, or lefty was a completely different animatronic who's build was inspired by the remains of his counterpart.
    By the location of Fazer Blast and hint we see, I think that carnie was most likely a part of Fall Fest(most likely the 1970 event) if so, do you think it's possible that carnie was one of Henry's first animatronics. That was a whole decade before our first look at fredbears.
    Whether or not Fredbear's opened before 1983. I highly doubt that it was an establishment before 1970. I noticed that there is no sign of Freddy’s or Fredbear's on the poster. Which leads me to believe that this fall fest may have predated everything.
    The running theory is that the mediocre melodies were his first animatronics, made to rip off Freddy’s fame. But being that we see an animatronic a decade before that, that closely resembles one of his final animatronics. It really seems that carnie could be his first.
    Here's some food for thought. Henry has been deemed a copycat in the early timeline for the mediocre melodies. But if he made his first BEAR animatronic at a children's theme event in 1970, is he really the copycat? If William stole the idea and made Fredbear's, and Fredbear's became as big as it did. No one would bat an eye at a small carnival with a simple bear animatronic.
    I don't know if I like this idea, but I'm just throwing everything I got to see what sticks. Is it possible that William set the carnival on fire to one, preventing it from becoming more successful. And two, to take that idea and reuse it for himself. I don't think he was pure evil at this point, or really evil at all. But it's still just a thought.
    I don't really think that lefty is a remade carnie. I think it's possible that the design could have been inspired by the withered design. But I doubt that they put that much thought into a connection like that.
    I am pretty confident, though, that carnie was most likely the first and that Henry was never really the copycat. But more so, tried to reclaim the ideas stolen from him later on after William's fame.

    But instead Afton wearing a genuine purple Freddy suit leading the animatronics, part of me thinks it was the spare suit that Afton used to lure them, mentioned back in FNAF 2, the spare in the back, "a yellow one" which was implying the golden Freddy suit as it mysteriously appeared on the night PG "just happened" to mention it.
    I think Afton used the golden Freddy suit to lead them to the safe room but the sprite was purple because it was stylistically showing that it was "tainted" by him after what he did inside the suit back in the DCI, not that it was actually purple, just like the killer wasn't genuinely a "purple man".

    If I remember correctly, the FNAF Character Encyclopedia (for as untrustworthy as the fandom deems it, and rightfully so) did seem to make an interesting differentiation. When explaining characters from the books, they specify Charlie as 'Charlotte Emily." The article (if I remember correctly) also mainly talks about her character in the books. But when it's time for Henry, they don't say 'Henry Emily,' they just say 'Henry.' Maybe there's different last names in the universe of the games, maybe it's to differentiate between the Marionette's ghost in the games versus the books. We do know that the first name matches the books due to Henry's speech, but we have no information on a last name, which could open up a possibility for a connection we wouldn't expect.

Knowing what we do now, I'd like to put forth that the little pigtail girl is Charlie - the green eyes, the red pigtails, the same color skirt outfit as Baby. The ARE the same person, so, as such, they use the same font color. In a weird way, Scott may have been trying to tell us that the person saying "we are still your friends, I will put you back together" is Pigtail Girl and Pigtail Girl just so happens to look a lot like a theoretical first interpretation of a Charlie Bot

    By the way you missed out on the whole thing with Charlie not saving Cassidy thing, like both in fnaf 2 and reestablished in fnaf 6, Cassidy isn’t saved by the puppet in fnaf 2 as the body appears, score increases and mask put on (the jumpscare) without her doing anything, and this is reinforced in fnaf 6 where in Henry’s speech when doing the whole carried in your arms bit the image of gift life is of the frame before Cassidy appears,

    theory: Charlie died at FNAF 2.
    the FNAF 2 location originally used the original animatronic suits and was an expansion of the business. in revenge for the crying child who died by an Emily creation (along with his general insanity), Afton killed Charlie outside the FNAF 2 location where Charlie then possessed the puppet. Henry, in mourning, left the business to William to take care of in his absents. WIlliam got rid of the Henry made animatronics and replaced it with his own toy animatronics. due to Charlie now being possessed, Afton still not processing the loss of his child, and Afton's own general insanity; William learned that Charlie possessed the puppet and was making the Toys act out and attack the security gaurds as she was messing with the code implemented with the toy animatronics. Afton in his own studies killed 5 kids and stuffed them into the old suits henry made in the back, to learn about remnant and Charlie's antics with the toys led to them no longer being needed. we can assume the return of Henry and WIlliam going off to make the funtimes, a project he started when making the toys (with the introduction of a funtime-foxy prototype that became mangled). Henry moved the location to a smaller place and used his original animatronics and during this time Charlie gave life to those children (when they were given life could be debated and we could even take a leap in logic and say Charlie used ghost powers like how Golden Freddy does to hide the corpses and control the smell for a few years). William, fully committed to remnant and the funtimes made baby who killed Elizabeth. returning to the resteraunt he abandoned, Afton finds the original suits now completely possessed and he messes with them and tries to take the remnant. he does this a few times, funs experiments on the funtimes and makes Ennard, and then dies to the MCI kids and is left to rot in FNAF 1 location until discovered for FNAF 3. during that window, Michael discovers the secret bunker and releases baby and the funtimes.

      ok, just thought of something. with the idea of Afton knowing of Remnant after Charlie's death, then when the MCI and funtimes just has to happen after Charlie's death. meaning you can have him make the funtimes after he made the toys, have Charlie break down the toys during the time Afton is making the funtimes, and then have the MCI take place. less ghost magic and gives some breathing time for when the funtiems are being made/invisioned and the MCI. cause like, which is more likely? was the MCI hauntings an accident like we all think or were they planned? possibly an early prototype of the funtime capturing.

    YES! YES! FINALLY, FINALLY I SEE SOMEONE ELSE ACTUALLY SAY IT.
    Having the parts of the withereds being used to help repair the toys actually split their souls across them makes SO MUCH SENSE, i've been saying it for years but i've never actually seen someone have the same idea and put it into a video that i recall. Having the souls split across the toys, and having the Toys be melted down for remnant thats injected into the funtimes allows the timeline to be fixed SO MUCH. Alongside still technically being MoltenMCI
    Also having FNAF World take place alongside UCN was a masterstroke, charlottes ultimate soul helping experiment happening alongside UCN's torture hell for william works so well, also explains Old Man Consequences being in both and nowhere else

    I think Baby was built to be a Charlotte stand in, and only happens to be possessed by Elizabeth. Baby was built to convince Henry to work with Afton after Charlottes death. Baby then would have murdered Elizabeth *after* Charlottes death, meaning the order of deaths has to be, CC, Charlotte and then Elizabeth.

    Just a thought on the last death quote from Charlie in UCN, what if it isnt directed at us/the player (William Afton) but is directed at Cassidy/The Vengeful Spirit. It might sound weird since it only happens when William "dies" but the "I dont hate you" part sticks out to me since i feel she would be angry at Afton for killing her just like the rest are but she wouldnt hate Cassidy/VS since they both went through the same/similar experiences and Cassidy/VS was also 1 of the 5 she saved in the FNAF 2 Mini games. Theres also the fact the 2 seem to have similar but opposite goals, they want to stop Afton but in different ways, Charlie wants to just out right stop him to save and protect everyone else and put them to rest where as Cassidy/VS wants to keep Afton alive and in pain to make him suffer so i feel like the "You need to stay out of my way" part is Charlie telling Cassidy/VS to just let Afton die and let everyone finally be at peace. I could be wayyyyyyy off but it just stack out to me as odd and the idea popped into my head

    One minor suggestion instead of Afton putting on a purple Freddy suit, since I'm not sure if that has ever been mentioned or suggested before: what if it's not meant to be a literal purple Freddy, but is instead meant to represent Afton making Freddy impressipns to lure the animatronics down the hall? He's always at the edge of the screen, making it hard to see him in any case, and it's dark amd the spirits aren't aware enough to fully recognize who or what they're following until Afton is up close taking the animatronics apart.

    I’ve always thought the “shadow Freddy” in Follow Me was just William in a suit, except the lighting makes the sprite look purple regardless of the actual suit color. After all, it’s well established William’s not literally a purple man, he just looks purple in the dark for pixel art reasons. The purple Freddy in the movie’s pretty good evidence tho.
    In Fnaf 2 phone guy says William used a spare yellow suit in the back to kill the 1987 kids, and since Springbonnie is in a safe room at a different location, it makes sense that it’d be the Golden Freddy / Fredbear suit. Probably finds Golden Freddy lying around when he goes to take apart the animatronics and just puts it on again because it worked the last time?
    Only thing I can’t figure out is why Cassidy would let that happen :I

    I think that the vengeful spirit was Michael, as he has more reason to hate his father than anyone else. After everything that he witnessed and the amount of abuse he suffered, I believe that makes more sense for him to have enough agony to trap his father in UCM rather than just one of the random kids that was killed.

  • @AloneTheorist

    Fnaf 2 explains that it's restaurant was originally an expansion and re brand of Fredbear's as phone guy mentions that the withereds used to have a show in this restaurant before the toys were invented in 1987 so given Fredbear and friends in 1983 was the first in game element of the original expansion to be visible to players, this specific restaurant has a 4 year gap in which the withereds had shows and were shutdown and replaced. Phone guy even states that withered Foxy's original show at this time was the most popular but like the others he was pulled for his outdated appearance and safety concerns and replaced with a toy version. Mangle takes over withered Foxy's job and location in 1987 and that's what becomes kid's cove(pirate's cove gets a friendlier re brand too). This gives a time frame for Fredbear's shutdown and rebranding/expansion in the Fnaf game universe, Fnaf 4 and Charlotte's death cause Fredbear's to close and a new location is opened shortly after that uses original Fredbear's characters and ones from the cartoon, who after a few years are decommissioned and replaced by toy versions to build a more kid friendly environment. This according to details in the games takes approximately 4 years in total to pull off. Then of course the toys are scrapped, parts combined with the withereds then Fnaf 1 happens (read the shutdown newspaper Easter egg in Fnaf 1)

    There’s gotta be some secret government organization or underground corporation that is well aware of the existence of souls and remnant in the FNAF universe. The requirements for souls to stay and possess objects is rather lax. Just die in, on, or near a suitable vessel.
    We don’t even know if the object has to be able to show signs of possession, such as a giant robot bear being able to move and make sounds, but rather anything can be possessed and you never know because a vase or chair cannot move or make noise.

    I have a theory about Henry driving William to insanity and being a sociopath, but getting PSTD instead. Ok so:
    Henry made the springlocks and springs should not have enough force to crush a child’s skull
    Henry made the Funtime animatronics, and William does not have enough engineering skills at the time to completely revamp them to be killer machines (this also helps with what CC needs to remember seeing)
    He made the mimic. Sure, he didn’t intend for it to be evil… but then he did it again.
    He realised he drove William to insanity and fired him with PTSD from his daughter’s death, which is why he’s later shown as a hero in fnaf 6

    I like the overall idea. The only stuff I'd disagree with is mostly side stuff (the location of Charlie's death, the timing of happiest day, etc)
    But the overall story of Give Gifts/Give Life being connected to the ideas from Alone Together, and the idea of the souls getting mixed up (either through FNAF2 part swapping, or MoltenMCI) and therefore requiring putting the pieces back together in Happiest Day and FNAF World. The connection of FNAFWorld being 'inspired' by UCN also works with those games being connected through Old Man Consequences.
    The only missing piece is the Crying Child. He has to fit into the overall picture somehow. It might be as simple as the plush being with Michael in FNAF6, or perhaps the plushie was mixed in with the four originals that were melted into remnant. At some point, the Vengeful spirit attaches itself to William Afton. And, since Golden Freddy was never used for parts in FNAF2, nor do we see it dismantled during the follow me minigames, the Vengeful spirit, like Charlie and Elizabeth, seems to have retained their sense of self. The difference being that unlike Baby or the Puppet, Golden Freddy is a non-functioning springtrap suit stuck in costume mode. Give gifts, give life implies that the Vengeful Spirit didn't need the help of Charlie.

    Sadly I can see that maybe the vengeful spirit could have accidently pulled Micheal in to her limbo with William, being unable to tell the two apart and Micheal also may have to face the animatronics as the puppet says, they are all still like animals and wouldn't understand. She though is aware and knows this isn't William and instead tells him to leave and stay out of their way. Like don't bother trying to save your dad. Charlie is very likely trying to end this punishment. She wants all of them to pass on even William. It's about everyone getting their peace and UCN isn't that
