Context for the video: The ancient Egyptians believed that the heart recorded all of the good and bad deeds of a person’s life, and was needed for judgment in the afterlife. After a person died, the heart was weighed against the feather of Maat (goddess of truth and justice). The scales were watched by Anubis (the jackal-headed god of embalming) and the results recorded by Thoth (the ibis-headed god of writing). If a person had led a decent life, the heart balanced with the feather and the person was rendered worthy to live forever in paradise with Osiris.
Such a fan of this band. So technically sound, guitar work is amazing.....they continue to put out phenomenal albums. Really looking forward to this one!

A previous band I was in opened for BoO when they were just putting out the new reign. I watched them play and knew right then that they were absolutely going to take off. And well, here we are. Awesome reaction, brother.

ok i know a bit about egyptian mythology and this video is the process after death in the mythology. the person who finds the heart had just died and the heart is his. he then finds the person with the scale (anubis in egyptian mythology but not in this video so i'm just gonna refer to them as "the winged person") so the winged person puts the Feather of Truth on the scale and the man puts his heart on the scale and if the heart is heavier than the feather, the man does not go to the afterlife and indefinitely gets tortured (i think) if the heart is lighter than the feather, then the man goes to the afterlife which is basically heaven or pretty similar. this person's heart was heavier so he turned to dust (usually his heart would be eaten by anubis's pet but i assume that is not here for obvious reasons) i assume that "angel or alien" is asking weather the person was good and their heart is light (angel) or if they were bad and their heart is heavy (alien) the songs lyrics seem to also be talking about the process after death in egyptian mythology.
i forgot a lot of the specific names for some things and i might have mixed up a few things because i don't remember everything about egyptian mythology that i learned so if anyone knows more than me don't be rude about

I've been counting down the days for this album. Gonna have it on repeat tomorrow. Been one of my favorite bands since high-school. Saw them live in their hometown in chicago when they were like 17 years old. Both Ronnie and Joe's vocals work so well together. And lee has progressed on guitar so much. I love that they have kept there sound there entire discography. Not many bands do that for 15 years.
I really liked this. I only know a couple of their songs but I might have to check out more.

Go check out "Whispering Deeps" by Words of Farewell if you loved this track. The entire bridge/solo section of that song is spot on to this track. Both are phenomenal. Thought honestly I like Words of Farewell's solo a lot more.

@@reliptic8886 This is the 9 dimensions and yes there are only 9 dimensions and yes this is where numbers come from look at numbers like bubbles.. for example 1 is what your spirit looks like when you become aware of your space but 2 the line that makes the line under the curve is 1 sideways and the half circle is the bubble that connects to you but since another person isn't apart of you this is why it's a half circle. Then 3 is the surrounds where the two bubbles coexist within the surroundings together if you get what I mean .. Check the RUclips channel that I posted to know anything Esoteric

ok hear me out. i think this song might have some sort of relationship with white nile. ok so during the solo of this song part of it sounds just like part of the white nile solo just slower and a couple variations. (it sounds kind of like a remade white nile solo) and the breakdown in the back of the solo in this one sounds kinda like a reworked version of the one behind the white nile solo. it's just a thought though.
edit: don't take this as me saying that this is unoriginal i just like theorizing
