- Can't reach that baseball? TRY BEING SMARTER!! These creative Mets fans found a way to get this souvenir from the off-limits area in front of the batter's eye. I'm surprised that Citi Field security didn't come over and yell at anyone, but hey, why should they? No harm done! :D
The Mets were taking on the Colorado Rockies, and this game was extra-fun because I was with my mom and our good friends from Paris. As I mentioned in the video, Apolline de Malherbe is famous in France so check her out on Twitter:

That's awesome! Glad you enjoyed seeing her. She and her parents are loooong-time family friends. We met them in the 1990s through some mutual friends in Paris, and at this point it feels like Apolline is part of the family.

I was literally at this game. It was my first time in NYC. That Sunday, I toured Yankee Stadium, and this week I'm going to Busch Stadium in St Louis, then I'm going to Rogers Centre in Toronto in July. My goal is to visit all 30 MLB stadiums, Zach. Go Blue Jays

I was at city field opening day and man the place is different in a few spots. One thing that still gets to me not so much the score board but the home run apple, when a home run lands there what exactly are you supposed to do without being ejected.
