- Hobao hyper VS and Hobao hyper 7 race around the carpark.
Electric buggy was running 4s Lipo on a hobbywing MAX 8 setup
Overall, the electric buggy was much quicker accelerating but top end was close. We found the nitro to handle better through the corners.

No argue, nitro is good but unless there's a mentor next to you, will face lots problems.
That's cool to see. I didn't know Ñitro and electric guys could even be Friends 😂😂😂 lean on bottom end and rich on top looks like to me there was still some top end speed left on the table just saying 😂

Lol im a nitro and electric guy, and personally electric sucks for run time, nitro run m rich control your mosquito population , lol all rc is good
they're not far off on the top end but the electric acceleration particularly from a standstill is simply colossal
Having owned and raced both, nitro has a more lively mid-band which is perfect for the dirt and track, they are also lighter and are more nimble.
Electric will always have Nitro beat off the line, but in a track setting, they feel more "clunky".
I have an old school hobao hyper 7 TQ with the Mac Star 28 and it’s by far my favorite buggy ever

Yeah that puttering that you hear at 1:23 is a sign it's too lean. But its lean at the low speed need. High speed is ok. Give it an hour or two on the low speed. Nice clip though! Keep ripping bro

Very fun to watch!
Very impressive suspension set up it corners perfectly however it can benefit from wider tires to reduce the chance of tipping over but from the looks of it there’s almost no underwear
im a nitro fan and your nitro is fast even though it is rich i think because of the smoke. but the electric is cool too

Your nitro has defo a lot more power in there, I’ve just started racing the 1/8ths and when you get the engine in the sweetspot..WOW!

Yeah it’s a hyper 7, I’m pretty new to nitros so still learning. If it’s too lean should I richen just highspeed or both high and low speed needle

But it’s all 3 low/high and idle needles
Most importantly the engine temp has to constant. I learned this with watching this guy’s channel. It’s called JQ racing. I’m his playlist engine set up is covered
there’s 3 good vids on engine break ins/carb set up. One is long winded but the other 2 are 15/30mins long

I guessed you were on 4s or very Low pinion teeth . Friend nitro so lean it was screaming it’s head off just about managed 40mph

I’ve raced nitro cars with engines that cost more than than some rtr electric buggys
I find it very expensive Vs electric rc these days I know about nitro, smell and the noise Etc
One Lipo is going to give more Hours than a gallon of fuel .
Lean it out at the bottom
Be alot better without that bloody music. Plus you should always run nitro cars with a bodyshell
