Well I am vintage myself so I kinda love it. I would steer away from the stairwells but I would stay there. The price is definitely nice! The trolley would also be a major bonus to me. I would be coming alone but I will definitely save this video because I want Room 131. I love every single thing about that room from the little kitchenette to the balcony. It would be worth the extra money to me. Thanks for sharing this one. 🤩

Room 131 is a nice layout. One could live there long term, but $3,000 monthly would break the bank.😅😅😅
Great review of Maples Motor Inn guys can't beat the price clean room and love the pool area. Especially loved the angel statue the retro theme how cool is that. Safe travels guys and enjoy.

This is the kind of motels that we like, with the 70's layout. We like just the two floors and the private entrance, and the fact that you can park your car in front of the entrance to your room. When I was a kid back in the sixties and early seventies my parents used to stay in this type of motel, it was usually a Ramada Inn. This is what my parents wanted and this is what I want but they are hard to find. But you can still find them mostly in the south. We stay at one that's beachfront in Myrtle Beach, and we stay in this type of Motel when we go to Florida or anywhere in the south.
The rooms are very retro. Walking into the room brought back memories of growing. Very clean and good location. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😎😎

We have stayed here 3 times and it’s been spotless each time. It is dated, but not a speck of and dirt anywhere or dust. The people are so nice too.

I know this video is two weeks old, but I have to tell you a story! I started following you two years ago when I started dreaming about visiting Tennessee. I watched this video when you first put it out. Then I sent it to my son to watch. The place looks pretty decent to me and I am happy to tell you. We have made a reservation to stay there for five nights in November! Keep up the videos I’m watching and taking notes now!😂

This is my kind of motel, when i was growing up my dad always took us on vacations and he never made reservations and he would drive til he found a little family motel usually in a small town...it was exciting if he found one with a pool...some had the magic fingers massaging machine...oh this video brought back some great memories for me..once in a pool i found a guys dog tags and i still have them and wonder if he made it back from Nam...thanks for the memories (bob hope)😘❤🙏🌻

Yep!1970's,I know it well!😄nice and comfy,bright and clean,the pillows were shabby-but at least they supplied more in bureau drawer... lol.Not bad for a budget hotel..has the basics,that's all you need and the price is right.Thank you both for another great video!✌️&❤️to you both! Be safe!❤️

We always stay at Maples Motor Inn! We love that you can actually open the windows! I've watched them do spring cleaning, they take EVERYTHING out of the rooms and clean behind the beds and dressers. This place is the cleanest motel I've ever stayed in!

Thanks for this video! I love the quiet setting - even though it is a very busy area, you get a peaceful feeling. I did have a flashback to our house back in the 70s - the family room & my brothers' room had darker wood paneling! I was new 1968 but that sign made me giggle, so I am definitely retro now in 2023! The room is fine for what it is - I have stayed in many rooms like that to save money - mostly just for sleeping; I admit it looks like a retro room they'd use in a movie for a horror scene (especially with the squeaky doors and drawers hehe), but at the same time it is a cute lil room with all you really need. I love those benches! That is such a nice touch, and that pool was huge and very clean. I so love that they have a trolley stop!

I met the housekeeper outside & got what I needed & gave her my trash/towels. I stayed 3 nights. Thankfully I had a throw blanket in the car. The old scratchy blanket in the drawer was a no. I will bring my pillow the next time. I don't like flat pillows. I definitely would stay again.

One of my fav places to stay since discovering it years ago. I love the retro vibe, but more importantly a clean quiet room to lay down at night after a long day out. There’s a lot of overpriced dumps in the area so once you find a gem like this that has an awesome price you will definitely return

Very impressive motel, especially the clean room mandate. I stayed in many Waikiki hotels over three decades, and they didn't look as fresh and spotless as the Maple Motor Inn. The only things Maple Motor Inn needs to do, is replace the carpets and pillows. 😄 I am in L.A., and haven't stayed any motels, but I am sure they don’t compare to Maple Motor Inn.
The jacuzzi room was very nice. It was a one bedroom for $100 per night. Senior apartments should be designed like that, except for the in-room jacuzzi.
The Maples Hotel is very clean, and the staff is friendly. You are right they could use new pillows. I would like to see them take the carpet out and just have flooring in the rooms. We appreciate you watching and commenting. 😎😎

Oh thanks so much for this video, it brought back lots of happy memories of staying in places just like this one in the 80s and early 90s with our children. Our kids loved finding ice machines which were really needed in Southern summers, but we had nothing like that in the uk at that time. Although the rooms are retro here the facilities are a huge improvement on the motor inns at which we stayed. There were always two queen beds, but the bedspreads were almost identical to these! Happy days!

We barely spend any time in the room when we're there anyway. I like that it's clean and cheap..on the river is a bonus. We usually stay at the HJ in Gatlinburg, but this looks like a good alternative. Thanks for the review!

love the outside. The retro look is nice. My only concern is thr carpet. I have been in some thst smells very musty. I cant handle musty smells. It triggers my sinsus. I have checked in and left because of smells before in some places.
I dont like carpeting in hotels. I didn't notice a smell at this place. They keep it pretty clean.😎😎
The price is certainly right and it looks very clean and very well kept up but I can't get past the bedspreads. I didn't think they were used any more. If I stayed there I would just wonder when was the last time they were washed. Other than that I think that it's a great option for budget travelers.

I worked at a hotel in a college town…Bedspreads are washed once a month unless someone get them soiled…Mattress are flipped every six months…. Our bedspreads were turned down; not covering the pillows…. Bedspreads are very nice too..white sheets are always used so they can be bleached…Usually the pillowcases are tucked inside the cases…I thought the paneling was the only thing that made it looked retro….I thought it was clean and if the person is staying over.. you clean it unless requested by the person staying there…This place is really nice for a budget hotel.

It is in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. It is not actually a Island they just call it that. There's rides shops and places to eat there and they have a huge ferris.wheel.😎😎

Thanks for this awesome vlog. We just changed our hotel across the street (which we like - LaBlanc) to this one for our Oct. trip. Got room 230 w/balcony, facing the parkway, fireplace and jacuzzi!!!! Would have never known about this hidden gem and we love helping locals. We always go out for breakfast so it’s nice knowing we are not having to pay for what we will not be using. Thanks again ❤
