So after you go through all the fun stuff during your date during the Genshin Impact Ayaka story quest, you end up actually getting called 'friend' by Ayaka again :) Probably not the end of the Ayaka x Traveler ship though, as we still have a lot more content ahead involving Ayaka and Aether/Lumine.

I still see this more as a romantic take though. Like damn, I could literally feel the romantic tension and connection they both had when I watched it.
There was another important clue before this scene. She asked how's MC's sister/brother, and MC said that he's/she's only traveling to find his/her sister/brother. The camera zoomed up showing Ayaka a bit depressed (because this implies MC will leave someday soon), and then the scene in this video.

Well I don’t see any logical reason as to why the would leave the world they are on.
If before the traveller leaves inazuma he doesn't meets with ayaka for a farewell then that's going to be a bummer. Everytime the traveller leaves they will only speak with the archons.
@@megatbasyarullah4859 Well technically in Liyue, traveler's last interaction was with Beidou and the crew. if you exclude them, then Katheryn is the last person. Although the Archon typically is the last person you talk to as part of the last chapter but doesn't always mean we leave immediately.
To summerise Ayaka want a romantic relationship but after hearing about Traveler talking about their sibling. She realize that the traverler will one day leave so she want to leave a lasting impression by dancing
