I know how you must feel, Elizabeth - I was thirteen years of age when I became a fan of both Wonder Woman, and Lynda Carter. I never mentioned this to my parents at that time, because I was afraid they wouldn't understand.
It wasn't until 2001, with both of my parents having passed on, I became a fan of the show all over again - as a result, I started saying the name, "Wonder Woman", every chance I got; I even ordered the VHS tapes of the show - and much later, purchased the DVDs!
One last thing - in 2002, I dressed up in an ersatz Wonder Woman costume on Halloween in order to win a bet; needless to say, I won.
I love this show - and I still think highly of the show. Thank you, Elizabeth - for finding that soft spot in my heart.

Yes! I AM that old! I don't know why I was watching "Wonder Woman" on TV in 1977 (I was approximately 2 years old at the time), but the theme tune and Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman was a winning combination! Gal Gadot has developed a "21st Century" rendition of it, but for so many decades, Lynda Carter was the "definitive" "Wonder Woman"!

Lynda Carter made the best Wonder Woman TV show of all time I was shocked when it was cancelled for 3 seasons in 1979 sometimes action adventure super hero shows seems way out of step with the times or seemed lost in the shuffle. I hear it in my head. It scares me because I don’t want people to think I’m a moron or nuts. I never have felt l am Wonder Woman but I’ll do what ever it takes to reach my goal. I think I’ve proven that. So in that sense yes l am A Wonder Woman. From the day I was born until now people have told me I was born to save lives. I know without a doubt that I have saved lives. Not that I’m bragging. It’s what I’ve always been told. The one thing that people don’t realize about me is that I need love too.

Miss - I appreciate what you've said in this post; back in 2004, when Lynda was awarded the TV Land Award for "Superest Superhero" Lynda said that there are many Wonder Women in this country, who were - serving as paramedics, schoolteachers, and fighting for us in wars, whether we agree with them or not."
I will be thinking of you this night - and for many more days to follow - for, as Queen Hippoylita said, "In a world of ordinary mortals - you are a Wonder Woman."

Music composed by Charles Fox who wrote many classic TV themes including "Happy Days", "Love Boat", "Laverne & Shirley" and "Wide World Of Sports". A fantastic documentary was just released on Amazon and Apple about Fox's career called "Killing Me Softly With HIs Songs"-- based on his 1973 Grammy winning hit. In the documentary, there is concert footage from Cuba where Charlie plays a great mambo version of this very "Wonder Woman" theme.
