Nonfiction editor here! "TK" means "to come" (as in, "This text is still to come"). It's TK and not TC because TK looks "wrong" and jumps off the page to editors/copyeditors/proofreaders, so everyone knows we're still waiting on something and we'll notice the TK before it gets published :) Great video as always!
i’m not even planning on being married soon but i’m so excited for Allison’s book!! i honestly just love learning about relationships (and supporting my fav creators!)
Gabe increasingly looks like his own much gay younger brother and he’s like “when I was 23” and It’s like no when you ARE 23 young man. Honestly, trans mascs
Good luck. My publisher disappeared with six of my novels. Still available in e forms but I receive no royalties. Be careful about choosing a publisher. Most are judish entities and you can not expect an honest business from them. Perhaps consider self publishing. You will have more control over your work.
Lindsay Ellis explained the fiction part of publishing a book really well in her video on the topic. It's interesting to see how similar your accounts of the publishing industry are.
Wisdom from 20 somethings? Give me a break. I am 73 and just coming into my wisdom. Wisdom comes when you realize how little you actually know. Twenty somethings seem to know everything but have no life experience. Indeed, adults formed opinions based on the rantings of a youngster from Scandinavia; a little autistic jewish girl. Come on adults. Be adults and stop giving into poorly educated morons.
I don't comment a lot but I have been following you two for a while. This one hit close to home. FYI I am an published author of poetry. Am I good at it hell no. But during that time being published was the thing to do so I paid a bit of money and they made a book meaning I am a published author of poetry. also that time = when being published was important.
Hi Allison and Gabe, I was wondering if you would be open to the idea of sharing your videos on Spotify instead of RUclips. Personally, I find it easier to stay focused and really dive into content on Spotify compared to RUclips. I really love watching your videos, and have been watching since I was 15 and now I'm 24 While I understand that your audience is currently on RUclips, I truly believe that you could reach even more people on Spotify. Please consider it, pretty please !! xxxx International Question from london haha
Why are books 'so long'? Perhaps people who write books tend to have a long attention span unlike most morons 'educated' by the public fool system. My biggest book to date, not published yet, is over 400,000 words and took seven years to write the first draft. The last 8 years of Nero's reign. You can't reduce that to a pamphlet.

I feel like I could listen to you two talk about craft and how you manage your creativity for so many more hours/episodes. Thanks for sharing!

Loved listening to the author perspective as an Emerson book publishing alum now working at a certain 🐧 publisher

Perfect. I am about to start my book.
It’s a graphic novel so different realm. But I’m excited!
I really liked this process focused video.
Love your jumper, Gabe
Stopping writting when you're on a roll so its easy to get started again is actually genious
Love these videos of wisdom !!

TLDR. I paid a scammer to release a book with my poetry in it to become a published author.
Please don't call yourself an author when you can't manage even basic grammar.
@@charlie_says3841 this is a youtube comment section, calm down
@@charlie_says3841precisely my point I didn't earn it I bought my way in to authorship.
I want to hear about this ice spice prediction lmao
You guys are actually so inspiring! bosses
Loved this ❤😭 I love hearing about the writing process
I always forget that I'm here because of Gabe's Tumblr interview project that I'm forgetting the name of.
no but how did you predict ice spice?
"Oh my god, I just got flashbacks."
😂
I need a gif of Gabe saying "that's journalism baby" for every time I fall too deep into an internet hole on one topic
This was so interesting. Also a great sales pitch for Emily haha
Patreon video on I Do I Think gossip??? 👀👀👀
Allison, you move you hands in a very nice way. Makes me think of finger dancing.
How do you get the agent?

What does TK stand for?
Poor Zoella
17:58 my video froze and it’s kind of perfect timing 😂
Woop woop
Fun
I’m gonna be honest. I don’t give a fuck about writing a book. I am only here because Gabe is actively attractive
