I have those « arm warmer » things. They’re good to keep the sun off my arms to prevent against sunburn but also just not having the sun beating down and warming me up. The sleeves are made of a lightweight material so sometimes it can actually feel better to wear them when it’s hot!
Dresses with pants was very early 2000s in the US! I could see it coming back. I was a fan of that look as someone who always felt uncomfortable in dresses.
When I was in Japan in 2009 wearing leggings or tights under jean shorts in the summer was a big thing. I think it was part of the modesty and part of the sun protection.
I was experimenting in the late 80s and wore some baggy shorts with leggings. No one was doing that and I was getting lots of looks, even the Japanese back then were doing that. It never caught on and I didn’t copy doing that from someone and was trying out new looks. and it never caught on until now I guess. Back then that was being avante Guard.
Really enjoyed this one! Fashion in Tokyo is one of the things I’m excited to see first hand when I eventually visit. I LOVE the baggy look, I mean how do they make it look so chic?! I imagine they also feel less self conscious in baggy clothes, but from time to time you just want a BABAMMM kinda look too you know? I’m somewhere in between. I love me a midi skirt or slip dress styled with tshirt most days. I hope your personal stuff works out! Thanks for you videos - they have been such a joy every time ☺️
YES they make the baggy style look so chic but whenever I try it I look frumpy!😂 And thank you so much for the kind comment I really appreciate it! :’) 💜
The makeup, the top, the butterfly clipss. Any who, I've had the same thoughts too about the socks and flats, the pants under the dresses but I love how different the fashion is
I’ve lived in Japan from 2004-2011 and I am coming back this summer and I would say that the pants under dress, the sun gloves, white socks and flats with loafers or ballerina pumps is not a trendy but their style. Because even that time I lived there they were wearing. I can’t wait to be back.
Hello I’m a big fan and I am also half Japanese and half British I love you channel and your so relatable for me,love your content, hope that one day I can meet you.
I don't ever remember dresses and pants being a thing, but you can damn well be sure that up here in Canada we wore legging with shorts/skirts ALL THE TIME 😂🤣
Girl, as someone who is basically allergic to the sun, I wish those sleeves weren't seen as so weird here in Southern California. Hold up, I wear skinny jeans the majority of the time. I don't show cleavage either because, what cleavage? 😂 I think I'm in the wrong country fashion wise 😅 Ok here's me overthinking the white socks with ballet flats: are they usually thicker white socks like the cheap ones from big packs in the U.S.? Because that would give them a more snug fit 🤔 And I have such conflicting feelings about the pants with dresses combo. I don't wear dresses so that's a way I might wear one. But, then I feel like it's too much layering to fuss with.
I'm hug fan of your video i always enjoy watch your video, the vibe and your personality make me want to be like you , cuz my dream is live in japan and you giving me an helpful advice that i need to know thabk you soooo much , hello from Morocco 🦋✨
I LOVE showing my clavicle and my chest area! I'm a small chested girl so there's never cleavage. I just love my neck area and my chest in a cute tank top, I have nice skin. This was such an interesting video.
Even tho you are from LA, you look like you might be part asian. If so, you should try to learn more about the asian culture and maybe why your in Japan. Meaning catch up on what you’ve missed being part asian growing up in the USA. I’m much older and Chinese and grew up on San Francisco. Born in Japan and when o cane here when I was 7, there were very few Japanese from Japan and many that were, were like 2nd generation Kapanese Americans. So I grew up with blacks and Latinos and since I was the only few Chinese - Japanese that would hangout with blacks and Latinos, o tried more to be like them and hated my culture or being asian and wanted to be like my friends. So I avoided everything asian and excelled at all the things my friends did or approved off. Anyway, now being much older and looking back, I wish I held on to my own culture and learned more about and feel I missed out. Many times I wished I never moved to America and stayed in Japan. So much of what you don’t appreciate to get approval from your peers, you will appreciate it when you get to the age where you are more comfortable with yourself and didn’t care what others think or think is cool. Many Asians like myself put in the work for the youngsters to have things easy like they are now. Back in my days, Asians got no respect and looked down on by others Americans of all races. You heard a lot of insults like Ching Chong chinamen and crap like that.

You saying about wearing trousers with dresses reminds me so much of growing up in the 00s and wearing jeans with skirts 🤣 never again, never again
HAHAHA I was always wearing leggings with skirts😂😂

Yes the fashion here is really inspiring! I’ve definitely stepped out of my fashion comfort zone since moving to Japan!
I do the arm warmers in the US in the summer because I send a lot of time outdoors and don't like sunscreen!
I once went in a zara tank top with thin straps to a shiba cafe... The stares still haunt me to this day
the ballet flats/sandals with socks had me rolling lmao
Thank you so much!!🥰

I NEED THOSE BUTTERFLY CLIPS
100¥ ! ! ! AY AY YAY🦋
Wait but as someone with a family history of skin cancer, UV blocking arm warmers don’t sound half bad 👀👀👀 lemme check my local Daiso
They have them! I have a pair but those onto go up to my elbow. I'm sure they have longer ones. I got them at a Daiso in Southern California.
Yesss especially in areas where the sun is really strong I think these would be super helpful!😲☀️
tell me why the ballet flats and socks didn't bother me that much......
They really don't bother me either. It reminds me of little girl socks for some reason 🤷
The more I looked at them while editing the more convinced I became that I’ll probably cave in and buy a pair of ballet flats like OOP!😜🥿🧦
DRESS PANTS COMBO 5EVER!!!!!

The dresses with pants was a bit of a 90's look too. Jeans with a dress was definitely a look...

Ya those UV blocking sleeves aren’t a terrible idea, hopefully they’ll become more common in other countries too!

Aww that’s so sweet! Already filming another one today😉
Those are UV protection for arms. 😂
Haha ya my mom told me!😂 she said after watching the video she might buy a pair LOL
Chesticle area 😂😂😂
The first group of oversized fashion photos you showed looked so chic, but the second group with the long skirts was just...smh.
So girls are soft, gentle and decent in their dressing? Another win for Japanese culture.
Are u a leo by any chance? 😗💕
I get that a lot but I’m actually a lil Pisces bish🥺🐠🐬✨ Aries moon though;)
Sister so beautiful 🥺
Coming from my GORGEOUS SEESTER!😭💕
Gotta say, i'm not brave enough to try Japanese fashion style
Shockingly, japan fashion is more to the modest said
Ya it’s pretty modest compared to what I’m used to!

You wear exotic clothes but get culture shock easily from other people’s fashion trends. These outfits are not even weird yet to discuss about.
