Bob is such a real one. We all need to radicalize and transform. Everyone needs to do what they can to divest from capitalism. We need to form loving community NOW. Watch where you’re spending your money so you’re not feeding the genocidal system of slavery we are all interweaved into at the moment. Pay attention to what is happening in the world. Look to people like Malcom X, Angela Davis, The Black Panthers.. we NEED to embody what they all stood for.

Bell Hooks had such a beautiful, concise mind. I love her clarity of thought. I was lucky enough to hear her speak at Berea College. Brilliant!

It is really nice to see raw footage of these heroes. I've heard their names, but I've never seen or heard them speak. Those videos really bring them to life.

I'm a straight white cis male and this is absolutely one of the most inspiring and influential discussions I've heard on white supremacy in the domain of not just politics but arts and culture as well! So proud to be a witness to the genius of you two!

Audre Lorde and Phill Wilson! I'd also recommend the "History of Africana Philosophy" podcast, a collaboration of professors Chike Jeffers and Peter Adamson. It's helped illuminate a massive blindspot left by the standard American curriculum.

I'm a young white Portuguese man and I really enjoy listening to you and learning more about black American culture, its problems and the things that happened in the past and are happening today. I also really like your work as drag queens. xoxo

Alvin Ailey conducted that interview so smooth and swift with answers. That I have a new found hope in remote engagement. Excellent!
Loved hearing his passion and encouragement ❤️

A recommendation per request, please look into Otto and Hermina Huiswoud.
I feel like they are seemingly often forgotten about cultural icons who have dedicated their whole lives to human rights all over the world while being all over the world.
From Suriname, Russia, New York, and all over Europe, they fought for better living conditions and rights for the black communities and everyone else too.
Also, since Peppermint mentioned it, it's indeed fashion.

Loved this! Thank you! As a biracial black and white american individual living overseas raised in a country with no black history in the curriculum when I went to school, you have educated me, I have done a bit of my own historie and cultural research throughout my life, but I had never heard of Bell Hooks or Alvin Ailey. This podcast is much appreciated!!! ❤

I'd learned a little bit about bell hooks and Alvin Ailey in school (having grown up in the arts), but strangely never saw or heard either of them speak, so this was very engaging and illuminating for me to watch. Thank you!
