He felt like a real addition to the cast. I don't know how to describe it but I guess he just fits. It may be the writing, it may be his acting or both, but he just has a real relationship with all of them, at least as much as someone introduced so late could have. He's gotta be the most normal, maybe that makes him fit among all those hilarious weirdos, also the writers gave him moments with a decent number of the rest of them, not just Phoebe.
Exactly...very rarely do you get someone who just fits in so perfectly without upsetting the flow that's already there...it was perfect casting and Paul Rudd was great in the part.

Even though we never see him finding The One (he was the only single one at the end of “Friends” and “Joey” flopped so bad that it was cancelled before he could find true love), I’d like to think that he eventually found her. He is definitely capable of being a loving, caring, person. We saw that when he was with Rachel. I think it’s a shame that they didn’t wind up together.

So in a way he has flaws, cause he is basically a "Casanova", maybe a little childish and spoilt at times, but those are not enough to decide that he is a bad person, he is actually a really great friend, cause he sacrificed a lot for his friends and thoroughly loves them, but my favourite is Chandler though, cause I relate to him the most!😅

Looks like they had to angle the wall with the door inside his room outwards and put a spotlot shining from the ground casting Joey's shadow on the wall.
