The point of being a pledge is to prove you are committed to the future of the organization and not just joining to get girls or get fucked up. Eventually someone from your pledge class will hold a position in cabinet as president, vp, treasurer, or some other shit. It also brings you closer to your pledge class. Through hardship you will eventually come to like some people in your class that you hated in the beginning.
