Love this reimagined release, can’t believe so many people didn’t like it, I get nothing but compliments in person, I think this is a solid 9/10x materials feel great, foot feels comfortable to walk in and color way as always is impeccable, this will age gracefully in my opinion.
Buckets made a valid point. It's like once a shoe is considered a grail how do you top it??? You can't so the only other option is to compliment it or pay homage to it. 2023 has been a great year to cop some cool stuff for or under retail. I love it!!
exactly. And as someone who has the royals, i just cant get myself to grab the A- version of them. I love the OG royals so much that i feel like i would wear these LESS if that makes any sense. Still a beautiful shoe regardless. If you missed on the OG royals, these are a MUST HAVE.

Jordan 1's aren't trendy like they were 5 years ago, which is great for real Jordan fan's. Never been into them personally, then again I never grew up around basketball culture.
It looks really good. 9 times out of 10 I’ll pick the leather over suede version of a shoe. But I think the royal panels on this reimagined shoe actually looks better to me.
Obviously i like the colorway (an iconic OG AJ1 colorway) but this version i just don't need, already passed when given EA. My '17 leather pair def worn but not in horrible condition and still clean up well & in the rotation. Plus suede can be a pain to clean / keep clean and maintain , can even warp over time & wear. Not super durable either. Thats a headache which i tend to avoid when i can. Even though i like some more than others , overall i just prefer clean close to OG over these reimagined versions. And personally i like to keep it simple with AJ1s with the regular leather often used rather than patent or suede etc.

Though if they are "new to the shoe game" i hope they keep in mind the fragility , durability concerns and upkeep aspects with suede. Def a high maintenance material. Especially as DS AJ1s are wearable for quite a long time compared to other Jordan retros. But those who want these Reimagined Royals should go after them and should be not a tough cop. I personally love these. I like that they kept the same color blocking and really only changed the material and I must say I prefer suede/nubuck over the Jordan 1 releases that go the patent leather route.
I don’t really wear blue especially shoes. I had to have these. I love the way the blue pops against the black. Being all suede style materials just makes it pop that much harder. People will regret sleeping on these for sure.

Went through the doorcrasher experience to get them for an amazing price too for black Friday, only $139 CAD ($102 US). I think Buckets explained the shoe perfect. It’s a 10 of 10 without ever seeing a OG Royal 1’s but that can’t happen with reality. But they’re 🔥. I was impressed when I got mine! 8/10 to me!

The reimagined thing is a very original idea. In my opinion, it didnt work on the Lost and Found’s or the 3’s the way every said it did. It was a different effect. This though “reimagined Royal 1” is an ACE in the hole. The completely suede upper makes this sneaker so original and interesting because the world of Suede 1’s high or low was always only tailored to Dunk SB’s. These are an instant A+. Easily

The did a j pack sb about 10 years ago or so right before the sb hype came back around. royal high suede high tops and bred suede lows. I had both and trashed them wish i woulda kept up with them

I dont get how buckets can give this an 8.75 but give the chicago LnFs a 7.5 when that one was much closer to the original pair. Still a really nice pair but waiting for it to go on sale before pulling the trigger since hardly anyone is buying these atm in Asia.

These and the all leather Bred 4s are the best reimaginings so far. None of that fake-aged bullshit like the White Cement 3s and Lost & Founds.
