The 2018 is so chunky around the ankle. I have them and love them but my wife always says they look like an old skateboard shoe bc they are so chunky. I definitely prefer the slim ankle and tongue on all the newer 3s and it’s a more OG feature

The reimagined white cements fit a half size bigger than most 3’s. Should have compared that directly. Seems misleading to say these fit the same as all recent releases.

Good Day Guys, another thing that I've noted as per video from Rose Anvil is that the leather portion above the sole (mud guard as they say, I stand to be corrected) on the 2018 pair is paint embossed fake synthetic leather and on the 2024 version the leather panel above the sole is real yet leather. Seth hinted that it is thinner than the 2018 version but I appreciate that it is real leather this time around. Mind you I have never owned an Air Jordan 3 long enough to experience it (since MOFOs stole it new before I even wore it) but it has always been my Holy Grail to date, with this I am very happy and delighted to say that I will be getting a pair without a doubt. Be careful yall the 2018 BC 3 is def true to size because of the heavy padding but my 2023 WC3s have way less padding like the BC3s coming out will have and I had to go down a half size
The OG's DID have tumbled leather. Tinker Hatfield has said multiple times in interviews that MJ was looking for a basketball shoe that was ready to be worn out of the box and was "fresh". That had never been done before. So, Tinker went looking and found softer leathers, AKA, tumbled leather. Here is an excerpt from one of his interviews. “In the second meeting, I had a whole stack of different, unique kind of leathers that I had researched and found. That’s when we found elephant skin and the tumbled leather, which we called floater at the time. I showed them to him and he thought they were cool. People told me we couldn’t use the tumbled leather for a footwear because no one ever had. I said well, we’re going to give it a go. We want the shoe to be soft and kind of luxurious right out of the box. When MJ first saw the shoe I knew we made the right call.”

The more I see the 88s the more of an appreciation I have for the 24s. They got it close minus the print detail otherwise it’s pretty close from what I’ve been seeing
I think all panels are real leather on the new pair, the back tab is shorter, the stiching is closer together as well as the stitch on the grey panel by the laces is a different color and obviously grey elephant print instead of black is the difference I see

Why do the original pair that mike wore have a light blue/purpleish tint on the gray areas? Idk if anyone else has noticed this with the pictures of him wearing them. I get player models but seems easy enough to replicate it.

2024 > 2018 all day any day. The best shape started out with the red cements, the fire red 2022s then the white cement reimagined ones.
