I'm 40y old, and I never thought we'll be seeing these kinds of interviews. I thought everything will go even more into PR and Marketing black box where PR Person doesn't know anything beside approved, focus group tested, talking points. I'm glad simracing is my hobby.
Active pedal are a dream to me, really hard to justify that kind of money on just one piece of hardware, but if money wasn't a concern. The biggest plus is the adjustability of the feeling weight directly in software, you can have 3 distinct feels of brake for road, gt and f1 cars with the push of a single button. That is, to me, the most valuable thing about about active pedal.
@@SIMRIG412 Well I’ve owned three Gomez wheels (have the Hyper P1 now) and two sets of Heusinkveld pedals (have the Ultimate+ now) and both of the owners are active in the sim racing community and on social media…
Oh this is the kind Mister from last sim racing expo in Germany! He was so kind with every content creator who talked to him! Respect for the Interview! cheers!
Hey Jackzer Congratulations on the awesome content you've been bringing to the channel. What a surprise to see you bringing this exclusive chat with Tyler. I've been using fanatec for years and I'm getting Simagic P1000 pedals today (They are in the boot of my car - can't wait to finish work and go home test them), next step is to get a simagic Alpha U base.
I have everything Simagic and to me right now is the best when it comes to quality and price, at least in the premium sector of these kind of devices. I'm more than happy and will keep buying their stuff for sure. FX Extreme wheel (waiting for the new round ones with detachable screen), Alpha Mini base, P1000RS pedals.
@@DannyTran_infms Why should the active pedals be compatible with other pedals? Do you want to have multiple pedal sets at your rig? 😂 They will be compatible with the P1000 base plate if you mean that.
Moza are supposed to release theirs around March for around 500€ in Europe (simline has listed them, but it's not yet confirmed the data is true. I hope they disclose something about the price and date soon because I'll be in China late March and probably will bring home an mBooster if they don't say anything...
but the thing is..moza compared to simagic is cheap trash. MOZA cant keep up with Simagic. So i would never (again) buy a single thing from moza is simagic is right around the corner
I am a bit sceptical about this construction but I am no engineer nor I really know about the capabilities of the belt. As a layman I would assume that these kind of belts are used to transfer a unidirectional force. With a FFB pedal the motor changes direction with high frequences, high acceleration and high forces. Hence, I would expect that this lowers the durability of the belt significantly.
@@Freddy_Merckx fair observation, but I thinknits one of those things, like he mentioned, they wouldn't use it, of it didn't perform as they wished (performance, speed and a reliabilty), well have to wait and see but I'm sure it'll be cool :)
What Are the Types of Belts in a Car Power steering belt. - Air conditioning belt.- Alternator belt. - Serpentine belt or v-ribbed belt. ... Timing belt,,, ''are you still sceptical,,..
@ I know about these applications but all of them work as I wrote unidirectional, no high-frequent multi-directional accelerations, etc. As I said, I am no expert but my best guess is that these factors can increase the wear-down as you will always have some play in the belt and this rubbing of the belt would lower the life-time of it as far as I understand it.
Great innovation - more compact, reversed (like pedals on most cars), more affordable. Main question is PRICE. $500 for braker and $700 for 3 pedals will make it somewhat popular. Still possible to make more compact and more affordable ($300 brake, $500 full set).
All Simagic needs to do next is to create “butkicker” kit with amp which does not hiss when is connected to power… and my kit will 100% simagic… it already almost is exclusively simagic
I had no hiss with my Dayton bst-1 or with the buttkicker pro I’ve replaced it with, sounds like an impedance mismatch with whatever speaker and amp you were using?
@@strasner_ it is the butkicker amp hissing and having high pitch when plugged in to power but not powered on (disappears when amp is on, so probably capacitors or something inside the amp). Nothing to do with inputs, pretty well documented issue too. I turn off power supply to my whole rig anyways so does not bother me too much. Simagic alpha base has similar characteristic that you can hear it when it is completely idling after racing. Also NEO wheel buttons have so much play that when buttkicker of when the base has high frequence vibration they will rattle horribly :) All the above in not a problem when racing, and mostly can notice it only in lobbys or some testing. To be clear this is not a rant against Simagic... I love their products, software and modularity. I look forward to see and purchase more products from Simagic as they actually constantly develop new things.
@ that’s so strange!! Thank you for explaining it further as I purchased the buttkicker and amp recently so it’s good to know what issues might arise. I thankfully haven’t had that problem yet but it’s good to know it can happen. Also I forget how much my rig creeks and cracks until I take my iem’s out and brake lmao
Looks fairly finished. Setting up production and distribution takes a lot time.2025 at some point is my guess, ans price... not cheap. Not under a 1000 euros ill bet
If I may say, this active pedal it the “ugliest” we have seen so far, but built quality and ffb quality will be in pair with other brands for sure! Great interview!
Hopefully this will be cheaper than one of them! I'd love to have a belt tensioner but that and the existing active pedal option is out of my price range atm
Sure, the AP can add info like ABS. But the main point in the video comments was related to Haptic Pedal Reactors and how they give that same level of info at a fraction of the cost of an active pedal. The real benefit to an Active Pedal is the instant & infinite adjustment options since the action and forces are all software controlled.
@@dauntae24 I agree. To my mind Tyler did not really hit the main point of having active pedals. The main point are not the effects which you can also have with haptic motors. The effects of an active pedal might be stronger and more tuned than with haptic motors but these are the additional 20% of which they are talking. What Tyler completely forgot is the ease of adjustability, finding the right pedal characteristics for your very personal preference. This is what they have to get right and that is something which takes time for software development.
Simmagic are becoming the kings of simracing
Simagic is probably the best full ecosystem there is in the sim racing arena. Top end quality for very reasonable prices.
I'm happy with my gear I'll say that!

Simucube killer! Let's go!
Enhhh simucube wheels are the best i dont think they will die i have the p1000s with all the goodies and they are good as well ☝🏽
Competition is good for the consumer as well ☝🏽

The future of sim racing pedals is so exciting
Thx for posting this! Some great insights for sure. I’ve been on the fence of adding haptics or just waiting for the active pedals myself.
Good morning dude! I got a video uploaded! Your videos played a big part of it!

I was really hoping he was going to give an idea of when it would be released. If if it was just a quarter prediction.
My worthless prediction is 4Q 2025 (per their show comments and being more of a realist than an optimist).
@Chader9 Yes that's my expectation as well. I hope I'm wrong as I'm looking at pedals around summer time.
Did he give you any idea on when they are going to release it?
The belt version is looking good!
That thing will decimate the pedal market if it is under 1000 USD.
I REALLY hope they are compatible with P1000 and P2000 pedals in their lineup.
pretty sure simagics youtube channel said they were about a month ago
