Two other movie bits including this song, in "Infamous," about Truman Capote and his writing "In Cold Blood," a few of his socialite friends were learning to twist, and in the movie " A World Apart" set in 1960s apartheid South Africa, two little girls were dancing to it. Good music goes everywhere!
When I hear 50s and 60s rock n roll, I fell so full of energy even at the end of a day. You can feel the happiness coming from this music and people making it :)

I don’t often listen to The Twist, but when I do, So Do My Neighbors
This was one of the first dances I learned in my teen years. It was something anyone could do.
This song screams 50s/60s. 12 Bar Blues, that jump blues style accompaniment, that sax, and that doo wop wop.
Yet another excellent recommendation Mr. Lynch!
Another one that I loved to dance to at weddings. Too much fun :D
Families were big so I just remember weddings and Christenings all the time as a small child. We would keep out of the adults way until they started getting tipsy, then we would dance and they would give us pennies:D
The ladies wore mini-dresses but they were still classy.
One of the most weight losing songs ever, sung by none other than a man by the name of Chubby!
Similar to Elvis Presley
My pops I used to listen to his records as a kid. He even taught me to twist. I knew already, but ho cool to dance with your pops??? Anyway, a few years back, I got to dance onstage with Fabian, Bobby Rydell and Frankie Avalon
This kind of music remind me my father. I think i will continue listening this song until i leave this place. I am 32.
This will never go away .Great to do .
Edmond de Hart I hope it never does.

My Mum was young when these songs came out. She said they were why everyone was so fit - and their Friday night dances were apparently very wild!!
2020 and in the middle of the coronavirus epidemic I am dancing this song so as not to get depressed! 🤣
Hey what's your country??
Me too😔
Same lol.
Me too! I need happiness
Mi ringtone 👌
I don't know how many times I have played this. Hundreds I suppose. But I never get tired of it.
The 50s and 60s was definitely the best era in music...
50s-80s
Captain FALKEN agreed. Everything after that took a trip downhill starting in the mid 90s
Spot on
Chubby has a powerful voice and the sax player kicks bootie!
Magnificent compilation, thank you. Song just takes you back to happier times.
