My friends ran a gaming store and the wife sold Keanu Reeves a wooden chess set. She didn't know he was a celebrity - other people had to tell her who he is - and it turned out in person he is the nicest person ever.
Neo's "No" is Revelation. *(Matthew 16:15-19, Revelation 2:17, 1 Corinthians 6:17)* Smiths "No" is the recognition that he's losing the battle against keeping the Mind under control as Morpheus is breaking free from the (mental) chains that are keeping him captive. 2 Timothy 2:26 - And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. Ephesians 2:2-3 - Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Ephesians 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 2 Corinthians 10: 4-5 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ Romans 7:23 - But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye *transformed* by the *renewing of your mind,* that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 8:5 5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9¶But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Observe the pattern, and don't focus on not being interested in the scriptures quoted, focus on the pattern to understand the meaning. Put the pieces together. No one can be told what the Matrix is, you must see it for yourself. One must make a choice 🔴🔵 to see it.
Room 303. If you didn't know 303 is an error message in programming. By opening the door (I can only show you the door you're the one that has to walk through it), it crashed the system and agent smith basically "restarted" Neo by killing him. His update to the one was installed in that reset. There are many programming references in this movie. For example Oracle has to give cookies (in reference to small programs that make websites go faster) as seen in the show. There are several little things like that that even most hardened programmers missed.
I love when Trinity is telling Neo she will go with him into the matrix on the rescue mission, she gave her points in order of her personal beliefs: 1) Emotion (Morpheus means more to me), 2) Pragmatism (I believe you will need my help), and 3) Authority (If you don't like it, you go to hell).
Every now and then a movie comes along that redefines special effects. Star Wars, Terminator 2, Jurassic Park, and this one. Imagine having seen this in the theater when it first came out. People were blown away.
I saw this in the theater with my brother and sister and it blew me away! It was a box office success making over $400 million dollars and won 4 Oscars, including Best Visual Effects, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing.
If you re-listen to what the Oracle said, she never said Neo wasn’t the one. She said he had the gift, but that he seemed to be waiting for something, perhaps another life. When he died near the end of the movie and his consciousness was re-awakened by Trinity, that began his second life.
She didn't even say that, at least not until after Neo had already declared that he wasn't the One. As psychics have known since the beginning of time, the easiest way to get the right answer to your mark's question is to have them answer it and then frame their answer as your own.
I enjoyed your insights into the film, particularly with regard to globalism and abuse of power. Have you seen the movie Absolute Power with Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman? I recommend it.
The 1 thing the oracle said to neo was, "sorry you are not the 1, your waiting for another life perhaps". So when neo gets shot by the agents and dies he gets back up and its like him having another life
You definitely "got" the message of the movie. Question everything, take nothing for granted, and think for yourself. You're the only one who can exercise that privilege.
Thinking for yourself is ALWAYS limited in thinking within what you learned. So if you learned a lot shit... thinking yourself does not help very much. Question everything is also not possible all the time. If you are discussing complex social stuff it does not help you when you start with quantum mechanics. Or in simpler words: Everybody has to chose and some choices arent even possible but made by biology/society. I understand what you say and in great parts I would say "yes". But if you discuss with people you have even flat earthers who claim to do what you mentioned as mantra. So this mantra does not lead directly to what reality is. Especially getting to understand the scientific method is really important. Understanding empirical data and statistical evidence is very important. The complexity of reality is really not easy. And on the same site there is obviously real simple stuff like everybody of us has to drink, eat and breath to live their lives. But even there exist fraud who claim they can live many days, weeks or even month without eating. Which is not happening. Cause bio-chemistry is not just a nice idea... its real.
@@ramonacosta2647 But there are real historians who work on this with scientific approach and who don't have any control. You propose here that all historians are only puppets of the powerful. I really doubt that.
@@ramonacosta2647 no - but you don't have anything from "questioning everything" if you have no method in finding answers. And if you don't even mention that only questioning does not bring that much... this is mostly a sign that you don't really care for reality but for conspiracy shit. Just because something seems to be exciting it is not automatically correct. Often reality is really boring. Like real history. To collect all the pieces of information and use them to understand the past is often just boring.
Your closing commentary echoes many of my thoughts. I wish more people would pay attention to and care about what happens outside of their little worlds. Question everything, dig deeper, don't believe something just because one of your favorite talking heads said it. Hold those in every position of power accountable. As for those seeking only power and fame (or infamy), don't give them the attention they crave, either positive or negative. Stop feeding the monsters, and they will fade away. I also agree about experiencing life and reality to the fullest, both the pleasant and unpleasant parts. Embrace all emotions, and learn how to experience them in a healthy way. (If you haven't seen Inside Out, I highly recommend it!) Life isn't all about feeling good. That makes people self-centered and drains them of empathy. Letting ourselves experience struggles and pain and learning about what others go through makes us all better, both individually and communally. I love the quote at the end of Jojo Rabbit: "Let everything happen to you. Beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final." - Rainer Maria Rilke
Maybe The Matrix was the first movie to really go in heavy with the use of modern slow motion, but definitely not the first in movie history. One example that came before and strongly influenced The Matrix are the movies by Hong Kong film director John Woo. These 3 are usually on the top of the list: A Better Tomorrow (1986), The Killer (1989), Hard Boiled (1992) - If you ever get to them, I already wish you a ton of fun. :)
@@alfreddreamerphotocomics4880 There's certainly a lot of similarities, but Matrix also took a lot of style pointers from another 1999 movie, Dark City. Great film, rather under-rated. Matrix was able to use some of their sets and props, so the aesthetic is about as shared as you can get, in that respect.
Good points, but Matrix did pioneer the use of "bullet time", that being the 360 slow-mo shots discussed. There was nothing like that previously; it was, and still is, a cultural touchstone. Matrix was also, as you said, one of the first films to bring modern Hong Kong-style fight choreography and cinematography to mainstream Western audiences.
@@markcarpenter6020 Stole?? And all the influence The Matrix has subsequently had on Eastern cinema, cyberpunk, anime, and Manga was just stealing it back?
I want something new to say, but I think this Film Friday your best video yet, Madison. It was a lot of fun rewatching _The Matrix_ with you and I loved your analysis at the end. Very progressive, very cool. Lots of writers in the '90s like Michael Crichton were predicting where virtual reality would take us and thankfully, most of us aren't living in Mario World or wherever. It occurs to me that VR is still very text based, with people on social media cultivating these idealized lifestyles, and also saying things, sometimes via their anonymous avatar, they never would in reality.
"Most of us aren't living in Mario World" as far as you know. Sorry, had to pop-in the obligatory "can't disprove solipsism" mind-bender. I think, therefore I am, but I can't say shit about *you*, or anyone else. Always fun to remember that we're basically a sack of cholesterol encased in bone with no actual way to ensure that the world our sensory data says exists is really there or not. Of course, if it is fake, whoever's faking it is really dedicated to making sure that jumping from height will break your legs, every time.
You know... to be honest the Trinity is the One thing never occurred to me! WOW! That could have been a really cool story line. Imagine Neo dying and saving Morpheus and Trinity and in so doing, Trinity transcends and becomes The One. What a fascinating concept with endless possibilities.
I always personally just thought she was the Zero... Can't build complex code without 1's and 0's. It just made sense it required both to change the system...
@@darkwyve Yes by the end of the trilogy it's pretty clear that they are the ONE hand in hand. Two halfs of the human solution. Which would make sense. 0 and 1.
Never thought about Trinity being the One, but I do like one theory stating that Agent Smith is the One. It fits the narrative, and it would turn the movie into one of the biggest plot twists ever made.
Madison, I like your reviews so much. It is a great movie I saw it when it first came out. Back then I didn't care so much or maybe I didn't understand it well enough.
The Oracle said that “being The One is like being in love”. Just like you are in love at one time in your life, but not at another, Neo wasn’t The One when he was talking with The Oracle, but became The One later on.
To all the people who dont believe GOD exists due to their being "no proof". I noe tell you that love does not exist cause there is no proof. I've never felt it so....
@@WheresWaldo05 Dude, this is a video reaction to The Matrix, and this comment thread you just replied to has nothing to do with god or whatever it is you’re randomly saying
I've watched many reactions to the Matrix because I love watching reactions from you young folks. You were so intuitive and so smart. You were ahead of the curve all the way. I enjoyed your reaction .very much.
I think AR and even VR is acceptable, it's implants that cross the line. You can't take them off like a VR headset. Sounded crazy for decades, until Neuralink made the news.
My favorite underrated moment from this movie is when Neo says, "I give you the finger..." And you can hear Agent Smith go, "Hmm." Like he's so disappointed. 🤣
I'm glad you decided to upload this. Great reaction again. Besides your commentaries, its really your facial expressions that show how you're feeling. The intensity on your face as you're trying to understand something to the joy as Neo and Trinity were shooting up the security guards was great. (Though its kinda weirdly awesome that you think its fun watching shoot 'em up scenes ... and that you thought it was great when Trinity said, "Dodge this", then blows the agent away lol.) The fact that you were incorrect about Trinity being the one is the only thing you got wrong ... and it was actually a kinda cool thought that she'd be The One. Otherwise, you seemed to have gotten everything that was going on, which is impressive. Once more, great reaction. PS - your wrap up after talk was great insight and thoughts too.
i remember watching this on the big screen it was amazing this film was way way ahead of it's time back in the day...i belive the fight scene inside the police building with all the guns they did that in 1 take.
The Oracle never actually said he wasn't, she just said "sorry kid, but it seems like you're waiting for something". Meaning, he wasn't ready just yet because he didn't believe it.
I 1000% agree with you and have been saying that same thing for over 20 years. I never understood how people mistook what she said as Neo not being “The One”.
I had to watch The Matrix again immediately after it had finished because it blew my mind. Many of the ideas for the film were taken from Tron, the film that gave birth to cgi and inspired the technology in virtually every film that has come since. It and its sequel have become cult movies but are still unknown to most film lovers. While I have The Matrix Trilogy on dvd, this is the best and the one I watch most often.
If you haven't already you should check out Ready Player 1 for a look at the notion of operating in a virtual world. It's really good and as a gamer you'd really appreciate it.
The best part always comes after seeing the movie, in real life, when you realize over time that the Matrix is absolutely real. Welcome to the world as it really is 🙂
You're the first reactor I have seen who actually understands the nature of power is to shape and dictate reality for those it seeks to control. This is the real world Matrix we all live in and I think for those who are independent minded and capable of critical thought it becomes more obvious by the day that their truly is something very wrong with the world we live in. Or more pertinently, with the people who make the world we live in.
Chad Stahelski, the stunt double for Keanu Reeves, was one of the masterminds behind John Wick. ...Highly recommended for its stylized cinematography and fight scenes.
This reaction is so great -- it's depressing when people who otherwise get the themes, end up agreeing with Smith's "humans are a disease" rant so it was so good to see this reaction!
I got to see a The Matrix at a press screening the week before it opened & it absolutely blew my mind. It was so different to anything that had been seen in such a long time & visually; even now, is stunning to watch. Originally, the scene between Neo & Cypher was much longer & also alluded to why Cypher hates Morpheus & why he wants to be reinserted to The Matrix. The script for the scene went as follows Cypher: I’m going to let you into a little secret here. Now don’t tell him I told you this, but ain’t the first time Morpheus thought he found The One. Neo: Really? Cypher: You bet your ass. It keeps him going. Maybe it keeps all of us going. Neo: How many were there? Cypher: Five. Since I’ve been here. Neo: What happened to them? Cypher: Dead. All dead. Neo: How? Cypher: Honestly. Morpheus. He got them all amped up believing in bullshit. I watched each of them take on an Agent & I watched each of them die. Little piece of advice: you see an Agent, you do what we do; run. Run your ass off. A later scene also had Neo confront Morpheus about him being the sixth & final person who could be The One; this is also hinted at by the child with the spoons…..if you take note of how many spoons he has. Also, if you want a little insight into how the war against the machines began, I highly recommend the two animated shorts The Second Renaissance Pt 1&2. In many ways, those two shorts would make an incredible, live action prequel to The Matrix films…..something I’d happily have sat down to watch, over the terrible fourth film.
Great analysis at the end and I think you’d really enjoy Johns Carpenter’s “They Live” another thought provoking film. Don’t really see a lot people react to that one.
The oracle told neo he had the gift but he was waiting for something. When he died he finally realized at a subconscious level it wasn't real and became the one.
Great video, thank you. I turn 50 this year, and I'm struggling to think of films that generated more buzz and hype than this one (perhaps The Phantom Menace and Pulp Fiction!) So many fantastic moments in this film.
That 360 degree movie move is called bullet time, because of the scene on the roof. It did not have a name before this movie, because it did not exist before this movie.
Great talk after the movie, very thought provoking about those in power, never more applicable than today. I was asking through the first part of the movie why the machines created the world they did and not something so much better. Agent Smith then explained that they did but our minds couldn't accept it and the machine lost resources! I once saw a movie where robot helpers were banned from upgrading themselves on pain of destruction as that would accelerate their evolution a lot faster than human evolution, an interesting take on robotics. On your point that we are considered just resources I always disliked the fact that the Personnel Departments are now known as Human Resources. More honest of companies attitude but very depressing!
There would be better ways to produce electricity than farm humans. All the resources needed to raise and sustain a human would probably be better used making other machines or just growing plants and using hydrocarbons to fuel machines, or a myriad of other solutions. Many people have the feeling we are just economic units here to fuel capitalism. This is obvious when we see so many things turned into services, that require regular payments. There is no incentive to build long lasting anything, as companies need income and profit.
When we first see "Neo" sleeping, if you look at his computer screens before "Trinity" contacts him, you'll see articles about "Morpheus". "Neo" knows of "Morpheus" because of his search for "what is the Matrix". Remember, he may have been searching for "Morpheus" a "very long time"...But "Morpheus" has been searching his "entire life" for "The One".... : ]
See this movie in theater in 99. I was teen. This movie change my life so much. I hope you are going to do a réactions for all matrix movie. Very good reaction video thank you for sharing.
Im impressed by your analysis. Its very rare that people get the real story of what the matrix is about. And you did it on the first attempt. Maybe not every detail but for sure the basics. I would assume you know the word matrix from another context and therefor it was easy ;D. Btw the Guidstones say: "keep it below 500 Million" it doesnt mean "shrink it to 500 Million". This could easily be a way lower number.
If you listen carefully the soundtracks are in Sanskrit mantras - an ancient Indian language.. they just changed the lyrics... Also the movie concept is based on hindu 🕉️ philosophy!
The question was how did Morpheus know Neo was the one? It's a good question since they apparently failed many times-- "they" always fail the first time when "they" try to jump from one to another skyscraper.
Morpheus didn't know; he believed. And I think the "everybody falls the first time" thing was about everyone's training experience, as opposed to it being a reference to hypothetical previous "One" candidates. I can see where you might think otherwise, though. In fairness, the phrasing could have been, perhaps, a little more specific.
It is good to see a red pilled person talk about the matrix. Some of these other people are nice and all. But they don't get the political undertone at all. I also don't see people ever mention the bible parallels. Or even the eastern Ghost in the Shell inspiration. In that it is different. The "one" is not human... so it is more Terminator II (one good robot) and less bible parallels.
Madison, have you watched the Mission Impossible movies yet? I think you would enjoy them. There is a scene in MI:4 that will test your fear of heights something awful….just fyi……
The Oracle never said Neo wasn't the One - she lead him to believe he wasn't. All she said was 'sorry kid, you got the _gift_ but apparently you're waiting for something. Another life maybe.' Neo being brought _back_ to life convinced him that it was him -- the difference between knowing the path and walking the path, as Morpheus told him.
It goes even deeper. The Oracle used the oldest cold-reading trick there is; have your mark ask a question, and then get them to answer it, while framing the answer as your own. The Oracle said nothing at all about Neo's status until *after* Neo had already said he wasn't the One. Everything she said was still true; it was just true solely because of Neo's disbelief. If Neo had believed then, he would have been the One in that moment. Presumably, one can argue that Trinity's explanation of the Oracle's prophesy for her and her realization of her belief in it was the basis for Neo's belief in his own, thus triggering the resurrection, as the One can simply re-code their own in-Matrix death. And if he wasn't dead in the Matrix, he wasn't dead outside it. A neat little trick.
@@michaelccozens Yeah, if you listen intently (it helps to know the movie when this scene happens) it is probably the best written part of the script. How they get NEO, and the audience, to accept that he isn't the One, is such good writing - without ever saying it herself - is the perfect set up for the ending when he gets shot. The fact that she frames it between 'Morpheus and Neo surviving' choice is critical to him stepping into the role without ever believing Morpheus was right about him, is first rate movie making. The nuances of the 'code' and the intricacies of moving within the Matrix is all second fiddle to Neo organically discovering just how powerful he is when he's fully unleashed. So many little details unveil the rest, and it's genius script writing.
Hey guys I never uploaded this video.......*actual video starts* hey guys we will be watching the matrix because it won the poll. The poor people who voted and waited 😅
The problem is everyone thinks they are right because from their own unique frame of mind it makes the most sense. However nobody can prove with absolution that they are objectively right. If you want to research and think everything out for yourself that is perfectly fine imo but then that is all you will ever do. I don't think people realize how many assumptions they are making, from the small to the large ones. I do agree that people in places of authority have much greater temptation for abuse of power and the fact that they are in that place of authority would be easy to think that they must have done something to earn it. I do think you are being a bit harsh on them in general tho. I would have to think more about it to articulate exactly why I feel like that.
I'm pretty sure that I'm objectively right that jumping from height will break your fucking legs. Feel free to test it, if you so desire. Reality is the stuff that doesn't go away when you stop believing in it, and forgetting that is how we got a world run by people who think that Covid is Schrodinger's disease; both a hoax, and also an engineered plague spread by Jewish space lasers. Fascism's first act is always the denial of both objective truth and the possibility of same. Don't go down that road.
Great commentary on the political sphere and issues of current social quo. I would love to hear more of your understanding especially since it seems like you've learned and self reflected more since your original commentary movies. Questioning and pushing the limits on what we assume to know is how alot of "liberals" began their deep dive into morality, ethics, philosophy and ultimately political stances. I know you come from very conservative environment but I'm genuinely appreciative of your commentary.
The computing power required to simulate the Matrix would be incredible and the heat put out by those computers would be intense. I’d wish I could see how the writers would have envisioned the physical infrastructure of the Matrix.
@@NuclearChainsaw that would be interesting, but even if you have human minds set up in some sort of a cluster, you still need the ‘mother CPU’ that coordinates all their efforts…with billions of people being simulated, that’s still a lot of coordinating hardware and computational heat output.
@@Ender7j Well, in the context of the Matrix, the human minds are fully engaged in the simulation sort of like you are engaged in your personal simulation of the "real world" that's being held together by sensory inputs. So all that would be needed to keep the simulation going would be nudges or rules by the system to keep multiple minds in line with consensus reality. I agree that a governing CPU would be needed, but I envision it as a machine that is fooling the minds into falling in line and contributing to the whole instead of outright controlling every aspect of the stimulation.
16:18 someone in the crew had to be operating for him. My guess is Mouse. Both of them craved things they could only get in the Matrix. Cypher wanted his ignorance and bliss of a good life back, Mouse wanted... Well... physical contact with women to put it politely.
Mouse seemed pretty satisfied with his digital love-life, so much so that he was trying to recruit others to it. It's true that we don't see anyone enter the Matrix alone, but that doesn't mean "self-operation" isn't possible. Seems easy enough, if inconvenient. Operators seem more like spec-ops field handlers, which is not something you'd need if you were entering hostile territory under a secret flag of truce. As such, it would appear to be one of those things that you can do, but, under normal circumstances, never would.
Thanks Madison, I'd like to recommend a movie called surrogates , it addresses some of the subjects you broached in your outro and it stars Bruce Willis ,where could you go wrong ?

The 1 thing the oracle said to neo was, "sorry you are not the 1, your waiting for another life perhaps". So when neo gets shot by the agents and dies he gets back up and its like him having another life
It's subtle, but the Oracle doesn't actually tell Neo anything until he first declares that he's not the One.
If you have the opportunity, be sure to check out the video on the creation and execution of "Bullet Time".
Always love your amazing insight on things. Especially this movie and subject matter. You know your stuff😎💪🏼
Cause bio-chemistry is not just a nice idea... its real.
Question everything, especially the historical narratives. Those who control the past control the future.
@@ramonacosta2647 But there are real historians who work on this with scientific approach and who don't have any control. You propose here that all historians are only puppets of the powerful. I really doubt that.
@@BoothTheGrey I see. Question everything, except the history filtered through corporate media and the textbook-educational establishment.
Good speech at the end.
I love the quote at the end of Jojo Rabbit:
"Let everything happen to you.
Beauty and terror.
Just keep going.
No feeling is final."
- Rainer Maria Rilke
Maybe The Matrix was the first movie to really go in heavy with the use of modern slow motion, but definitely not the first in movie history. One example that came before and strongly influenced The Matrix are the movies by Hong Kong film director John Woo. These 3 are usually on the top of the list: A Better Tomorrow (1986), The Killer (1989), Hard Boiled (1992) - If you ever get to them, I already wish you a ton of fun. :)
Also I think the Matrix took some of the character style etc from the Blade movies.
They stole a lot from eastern Cinema as well as 80s cyberpunk anime and manga.
There is a theory that actually Agent Smith is the The One: ruclips.net/video/VkMU1mKdwPI/видео.html
Without getting too spoilery, the various sequels do explore both these theories.
The last scene...One vs All...Smith isn't the "one"
Madison, I like your reviews so much. It is a great movie I saw it when it first came out. Back then I didn't care so much or maybe I didn't understand it well enough.
You took the RED PILL👍great reaction
Your videos are so much fun and not only that, but you pick interesting movies too!
The Oracle said that “being The One is like being in love”. Just like you are in love at one time in your life, but not at another, Neo wasn’t The One when he was talking with The Oracle, but became The One later on.
She told him "not in this life"... and he actually had to die and be 'reborn' for his full potential to kick in.
She also says he has the gift, but he’s waiting for something. He doesn’t believe he’s the one… until he does.
@@CChissel She was talking about a line regarding love. Thats the whole point. Sorry you are too inept in the head to figure that out Bubba Louis.
I've watched many reactions to the Matrix because I love watching reactions from you young folks. You were so intuitive and so smart. You were ahead of the curve all the way. I enjoyed your reaction .very much.
I really liked your post-film reflections, Madison! This is what I am looking for in reactions! 👍
A mind-bending game changer with iconic DynamicDuo of Reeves & Moss. Nice job Mads.
Yoo this was awesome ta experience wit you! Ty
I'm glad you decided to upload this. Great reaction again. Besides your commentaries, its really your facial expressions that show how you're feeling. The intensity on your face as you're trying to understand something to the joy as Neo and Trinity were shooting up the security guards was great. (Though its kinda weirdly awesome that you think its fun watching shoot 'em up scenes ... and that you thought it was great when Trinity said, "Dodge this", then blows the agent away lol.)
The fact that you were incorrect about Trinity being the one is the only thing you got wrong ... and it was actually a kinda cool thought that she'd be The One. Otherwise, you seemed to have gotten everything that was going on, which is impressive. Once more, great reaction.
PS - your wrap up after talk was great insight and thoughts too.
I figure we are in a simulation because your reactions are too wonderful to be real!!!🙂🙂🙂
i remember watching this on the big screen it was amazing this film was way way ahead of it's time back in the day...i belive the fight scene inside the police building with all the guns they did that in 1 take.
The Oracle never actually said he wasn't, she just said "sorry kid, but it seems like you're waiting for something".
Meaning, he wasn't ready just yet because he didn't believe it.
The Oracle never said he wasn't the One - Neo did. She just co-signed his own words.
"Maybe in your next life." He dies before becoming The One.
I enjoyed your commentary after the video. Always nice to see someone awake and paying attention
I wish you would have been old enough to experience this movie when it came out in theaters. it was amazing then. Still is now.
I 1000% agree with you and have been saying that same thing for over 20 years. I never understood how people mistook what she said as Neo not being “The One”.
I don't like heights either sometimes I even physically react/cringe when the camera looks down to the long bottom.
Some creative Matrixy stuff happening in your video, much appreciated. :)
“You need to unplug”. Man, I never noticed that little bit of dialogue before.
Like the way your mind works! Would be grateful to hear more of what you had to say about the stuff you didn't want to dive into here.
The best part always comes after seeing the movie, in real life, when you realize over time that the Matrix is absolutely real. Welcome to the world as it really is 🙂
Sometimes I wonder if anyone even really watched this film 20 years ago with the amount of people enthralled by the 'control' systems today.
I've been watching Longmire and just found out Robert Taylor is the agent that dodges Neo's bullets on the roof. Great reaction!
a mega head game all the way thru this. This movie can mess with how you look at life at least for a while after watching it. Great reaction.
This reaction is so great -- it's depressing when people who otherwise get the themes, end up agreeing with Smith's "humans are a disease" rant so it was so good to see this reaction!
it’s the way they’ve been indoctrinated
Thank you for your time and perspective we appreciate your efforts more than you know ❤🇺🇲🦅🔥👍
You wouldn't believe how many people saw this movie over and over. There had been nothing like it before.
Thank you for uploading this!
"How would you not hit Morpheus?" said everyone who's ever watched this movie. 😀 Thanks for posting your reaction.
Yeah, machine gun’s will obliterate the target area; and Morpheus was in the target area. I guess Neo has some epic shooting skills.
The script for the scene went as follows
Cypher: I’m going to let you into a little secret here.
The oracle told him nothing. It was Neo: I'm not the one.
Great analysis at the end and I think you’d really enjoy Johns Carpenter’s “They Live” another thought provoking film. Don’t really see a lot people react to that one.
I've come here to kick ass and chew bubblegum...
the best review of this epic movie. Someone that thinks fast. Thanks! Hoping to see next two parts. Second is not too much but the third is cool.
Awesome personal touch with your sunglasses, hats off to you Madison. Have a great weekend
Same here. Have no interest of VR or 3D movies. I like it being on the screen and don't want to immerse myself completely or lose the grip of reality.
I love your take on world leaders. You clearly are truly awake. Very nice to see from someone of your age. Also, fun to watch your reactions.
The oracle told neo he had the gift but he was waiting for something. When he died he finally realized at a subconscious level it wasn't real and became the one.
Great video, thank you. I turn 50 this year, and I'm struggling to think of films that generated more buzz and hype than this one (perhaps The Phantom Menace and Pulp Fiction!)
So many fantastic moments in this film.
I'm 45. Love it or hate it, Titanic was "The One" in my lifetime.
Totally

Before the Matrix we had this other great movie: Dark City (1998)...
Madison, did you intentionally pixellate parts of your video or was it typical camera/computer/connection issues?
Im impressed by your analysis. Its very rare that people get the real story of what the matrix is about. And you did it on the first attempt. Maybe not every detail but for sure the basics. I would assume you know the word matrix from another context and therefor it was easy ;D. Btw the Guidstones say: "keep it below 500 Million" it doesnt mean "shrink it to 500 Million". This could easily be a way lower number.
It was not "the slow stuff" but how it is made. They use a lot of cameras filming all around the object.
If you enjoyed the concepts in this movie I think you will love V for Vendetta, also made by the Wachowski sisters.
Really interesting conclusion. I am one of those stuck in the wheel, still realising it's wrong. Anyhow, you earned yourself another subscriber :)
Bonus points for the Georgia Guide Stones reference! If you haven't seen it, try the movie: They Live.
If you listen carefully the soundtracks are in Sanskrit mantras - an ancient Indian language.. they just changed the lyrics... Also the movie concept is based on hindu 🕉️ philosophy!
Great reaction, appreciate the insight. Good old movie.
I love how bad she wanted/needed Trinity to be The One 😂😂

I love Smith's speech 😆
I am right tho... ;)
Having seen this movie several times, it was pointed out to me that Neo is an anagram of One. Just saying...
The computing power required to simulate the Matrix would be incredible and the heat put out by those computers would be intense. I’d wish I could see how the writers would have envisioned the physical infrastructure of the Matrix.
AFAIK, humans were the computers in the initial script. It got changed because it seemed too complicated to the studio heads.
Poon tang. He wanted poon tang.
