- This is the moment when the young princess bee, Bugia, is trying to establish herself as the new queen of the colony.
We performed a multiplication of Bugia bees and transferred the queen bee that was in this colony to another hive.
This means that the worker bees need to elect a new queen bee from the young queens, also known as princesses. In stingless bees of the Melipona genus, approximately 5% to 25% of new bees will be princesses. There is no construction of royal cells, as is the case in species of the Trigoniformes genera, such as Jataí bees (Tetragonisca sp.), Mirim bees (Plebeia sp.), Borá bees (Tetragona sp.), and others, as well as in stinged bees (Apis mellifera).
Meanwhile, the worker bees are constructing cerume (wax) cables to secure the green discs, which are only built when they complete the construction of new cells at a specific point on the disc. As the bees have noticed the absence of the queen bee, they are building cables around all the green discs.
It can take days, or even weeks, for a new queen bee to be elected. During this period, several princess bees will emerge and attempt to take over the colony, competing and even fighting with other princesses. In this species, only one of them can become the queen.
A few hours later, several bees are gathering around the discs, turning their attention to this princess bee. Yes, the first candidate is trying to gain acceptance from the worker bees.
She moves quickly among the worker bees, emitting pheromones, as she is determined to become the new queen of the colony.
Queen emerged, but being born into royalty is one thing, being accepted as the queen of the colony is another.
Some worker bees are quickly feeding her, as she needs a lot of energy to continue her ritual. Are these workers her first subjects?
Meanwhile, others are trying to immobilize her using their mandibles. Is this opposition?
In any case, this princess bee remains determined, and more and more bees are clustering around her, reaching a point where virtually all the bees in the hive are involved, making it difficult even to capture images.
It's still early to say that this princess will be elected as the queen, and we don't know for sure how long this ritual will last, but from what we can see, if it depends on this princess bee, she could become the future queen of the colony.

Ooi, recentemente estava observando o canudo de uma colméia de pequenas abelhas sem ferrão pretas e vi que uma estava carregando uma larva e simplesmente jogou ela fora... Poderia me explicar oq foi isso? Kkkkk
As abelhas sem ferrão são muito higiênicas e mantel limpo o interior da colmeia, se por algum motivo alguma larva não for pra frente, elas abrem a célula de cria e jogam fora.

Atualmente a colônia possui uma abelha rainha, não temos como afirmar, mas sim, pode muito bem ter sido ela a eleita.
A coméia também é uma Monarquia, é a ordem orgânica posta de Deus na criação.
De onde você tirou isso? Vários animais têm outros sistemas de convivência social. Não foram criados por Deus também?
