$105 for 30 packs is right in line with the previous $125 for 36 packs proportionally, which is what the last few sets have gone for at release. There's no sale here
That’s around what the MKM sale fired off at and that is a sale for modern day mtg. IMO it’s significantly under standard market price that we have seen so far and qualifies as a sale but to each their own Thanks for watching 💪❤️
Wotc holding out and restricting collector boxes currently and controlling the secondary market then letting Amazon get dumped with them to expedite profit. Greed machine going crazy
I've gotten into the habit of preordering one box from Banana Stand (at TCG Player) each release. Even if the set isn't great, the discounted price makes it worthwhile
The Eternal Might precon preorder is sold out on Amazon except for the 4 pack case. All the TCGplayer listings have jumped to at least $20 over MSRP. I think this precon is going to be highly sought after and pop off in value post release.
@@HometownTcg We got draft displays of Murder of Karlov Manor, Thunder Junction and Duskmourn for 85 Euro each by just waiting half a year. If enough people don't buy it the traders will sell it just to get some of their money back.
I was fully going to skip this set, and save money, im not even a car guy, but after seeing the cards, this set looks so fun! the graffiti style mad max multiplanar revisits and shenanigans, it got me completely changing my stance on it damn near a full 180 😂 im excited, I caved and preordered 😅
@Baps_ It definitely looks like a worthwhile deck for pre-ordering. Comparing it to the squirrel deck from Bloomburrow shows that even if it does get a reprint, you'll likely be waiting a long time for that.
The set has about 10 cards that will see play in decklists. It's slightly stronger than average, but its still not worth buying. Buy the dozen or so singles that you actually are going to play.
36 pack boxes were a 100 just a couple of years ago. I don't find any value any of the non collectors boxes. Thrones of Eldraine collectors could be had for 200. These prices are not good for anything besides possibly the finish line bundle.
I actually think the CB will have some value but I see what you’re saying. I wish the play boxes were cheaper also but I have to discuss the market as we deal with it. Thanks for watching 💪❤️
Months ago I was going to skip Aetherdrift and thought the racing theme was stupid. I still think it is stupid BUT, there are some really good cards in this set. I got a great deal on all of the Aetherdrift products from my LGS. I paid only $39.99 for my Aetherdrift Finish Line Bundle and a Play Booster box for $79.99. Since I preordered quite a bit of products, I only paid $119.99 for the Collectors box. I paid $30.00 for each Commander deck. I will also buy some singles. Thank you for the video.
I got the playbooster box for, all in, $116.01. I found it pretty hard to say no. And even my tight-fisted fingers let that hundred bucks out the door.
Here’s the thing if you hate it ? No don’t pre order it. However , it might actually be worth it as they tend to be worth some drops. It always goes the same way lately.
I’m super pumped for this set! Also The Banana Stand (aka forge and fire) does a sponsored TCG Player sale every single prerelease. Foundations had the same sale for around $130 which actually ended being more money per pack ($3.6) than Aetherdrift at $105 for 30 packs ($3.5).
If it's something you know you'll want, pre-order the moment it's available to lock-in a great price. Let's just put it this way: if you don't pre-order Final Fantasy collector boxes, then you will not get them, except at a ridiculous markup. I have no idea whether or not the set will be any good, but I know that LOTS of people are going to want them just because they're the intersection of two things that they love: magic and final fantasy. That kind of situation doesn't exist for Aetherdrift. You'll be able to buy collector boosters at around MSRP for awhile, and even the commander decks will wobble around MSRP since WOTC will do reptint runs throughout the year if there's enough demand. Even so, I was happy to pre-order the commander decks for $35 apiece and collector booster boxes for $200 a month ago. I'll recoup my investment with no problem in spite of the low hype for the set.
People may of course spend their money on whatever they enjoy, but I don’t like anything about this set, so regardless of value or whatever gimmicky art style “chase cards” are in the packs, I won’t be purchasing any products from this set. Even if they said, “go to your LGS and say ‘start your engines’ at the front desk and you’ll get a free pack,” I wouldn’t say it.
@@HometownTcg Hahahah, yeah I have nothing with cars in real life or vehicles in MTG. This is the first basic set I am gonna skip in my whole life :D ruclips.net/video/jo11SqLmuGc/видео.html&ab_channel=gogostyle1000

Banana stand sale iconic!
@@HometownTcgAka Forge & Fire
I’m building an Alela deck and wasn’t sure if I wanted to go artifacts or enchantments. With this set full of artifact bangers, I’ve made my decision.
Good luck with the build!

If it is sought after, they will reprint.
The precons are a wild world. One of them ALWAYS pops off
Preorders should be in way earlier. Making preorders one week before release you end up paying more $$$
I think we will see continuing price drops over the next two weeks with the exception of the finish line bundle.
@ I doubt collector boxes will drop
I pre-ordered a couple finish line bundles at 49.99 We'll see if they arrive
Where did u find it at that price and how long ago? I pre ordered them a few weeks ago and the lowest I found was 74
Good luck with your pre order - rooting for ya! 💪💪💪
I got myself 2 finish line bundles ready for preorder. One for opening, and one for holding sealed(probably will open also in the future 😂).
Did people forget that booster boxes used to be 100 normally?
Yep but it’s been some time for mainstream widespread games since that has been the norm

I pre-ordered because in my country 6 boosters and 2 collector boosters it is the price of the bundle.
Nice! Good luck with your pulls!!
i ordered one copy of the zombie precon for 55 USD including shipping. I kinda feel like I made off like a bandit right now, lol.
The zombie deck looks like the only really good thing from Aetherdrift. This is definitely another "buy singles" kind of set.
@@Mirthful_Midori I am new to the hobby and love cracking packs, but I am going to try the buy singles strategy aside from my precon scoop!

Set is gonna be fire ^^ People will realize
You + Me = Same Page. I think people are under rating this set.
The play booster boxes are $105 because no one wants this set.
Isn’t it because there’s only 30 packs now and not 36?
I don’t think THATS true…
@ If you did the math, it would be the same as $125 for 36 packs, the same as the current price as MKM, a famously successful set.
@@HometownTcg I’m just asking, I’m new to MTG and all these different box names with what seems to be constant QTY changes hurts my brain 😆

Prolly. There's a Chrome Mox in there.
The answer is do not pre-order and don't buy after it's released.
I mean people are probably going to buy magic sets in fairness
