Excellent job! I love this kind of video. Seeing a driveway emerge thru the woods. There’s something very satisfying watching, and I’m sure doing what you do. Keep it up!
Great video and work man! That’s the bad part about mounting the camera to the top of the skid, it’s really shakey. I have been sticking it below the step between the loader arms and gets the back of the bucket but doesn’t shake as much. Your door rattles as bad as mine lol! Looks like you still remember how to run it! 😉 thanks for sharing
I'm new here and from what I saw, this man is an awesome operator ! Look at him loading his trailer with such a gentle touch. Like a ballet. WOW ! Kudos, letsdig18 !
Wanted you to know you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. I've been excavating on some level all my life (about 1 1/2 times the time you've been on the planet) and get a real kick out of some of the things you do. I've become a better operator from watching you - thanks. A couple of tips for you: I have the exact same saw you have, and have learned that a skip tooth chain nearly doubles what my saw can do, and it takes half the time to sharpen it. We use them a lot here in the Pacific northwest. You might want to try one and see what you think . . . Use a little Seafoam in your gas mix; it keeps the saw running much better. Finally, keep your air filter blown out - it eliminates the lag and starts a LOT easier.
Nothing better than sitting in the comfort of my air conditioned castle watching a man work and listen to him philosophizing out in the host and nasty.
Looking good Chris skid steer does beat you up a little they do a good job though for a small piece of equipment your just not used to being that low to the ground 🤣🤣
Chris, could you take a minute in one of your videos to explain the different functions of you joy stick controls? Really admire your attention to detail when you do a job.
Time to invest in a grader? You grade out tons of stuff, might be faster and easier in some cases. If you have $250 k laying around..... lol. Love the videos!
chris dont you just love operating the skid steer. i dont think other people truly understand how you get the shit shook out of you while operating one. ive been operating machinery for 12 years and i swear a skid steer is like riding a bull.
Nice road Chris but where are the Hills, Swamp, Quicksand, sinkholes and Leeches? Oh forgot that's the one I am currently working on. Have a nice week end have fun Monday will watch If I am still above Ground.
Seems like these Japanese skid steers just rattle. We have a couple of kubotas where I work and they both rattle like crazy. Could be the overhead door, I like them but I don't at the same time..
ether it is just were the camera is mounted or it is the way that skid steer is, cant see the dam bucket to see what you are doing, like so many machines are like, that's why many cant operate a D8 as you cant see the dam blade
You going to just leave the tree laying over in the others next to the field? lol...Cmon now.. you cant leave something like that there... I don't believe your OCD would let you.
farmer green bobcat are junk and yes I run both takeuchi and bobcat if your getting a ctl as a work horse and don't care about comfort get a takeuchi if your getting a ctl want power and comfort get a cat if you want a money pit get a bobcat.
Vasiliy Dronov ive ran all 3 and in my opinion bobcat is the best and yes bobcat is expensive but in my opinion it's worth the money also bobcat puts the power to the ground so does cat but agin for me bobcat came out to be number 1 that my opinion tho so ya
farmer green what ever works for you arguing about equipment brands is like arguing about truck brands you my be a ford guy you may be a Chevy guy but in the end it comes down to what you like. I personally like seting down makeing a spread sheet and seeing what costs what and how much work it will do before buying. That my be why I love chevy trucks but only drive dodge CTD trucks.
Vasiliy Dronov that's the truth I've run bobcats, IHI, Tak and my cat 259b3 is a smooth riding machine compared to those for sure. That Tak seems noisy in the cab too.
Excellent job! I love this kind of video. Seeing a driveway emerge thru the woods. There’s something very satisfying watching, and I’m sure doing what you do. Keep it up!
I love it when you can knock it he trees over and you take the bucket and go crunch with the trees limbs I love the crunch sounds
Nice attention to detail cleaning up the roadway right of way. Cheers!
You're like a surgeon with that thing. Keep making your videos- I love em.
Are these videos part of that “ oddly satisfying “ series of videos? Cause I can sit here and watch em for hours .
i hate those videos where they speed up and zip through them. (sorta makes me wonder why they make them in the first place). this is good stuff.
Omg...that saw on high speed was too funny. Like a million gnats buzzing close to your ear.
Great video and work man! That’s the bad part about mounting the camera to the top of the skid, it’s really shakey. Such gentleness on loading the trailer! I'm sure it was appreciated...
Loading of logs sure went smoother with your equipment then last video with borrowed excavator! Beer money two weekends in a row! Whoot Whoot!😎
Great job setting the tree up to cut...made look easy. Cool video 👍
You are smooth at the controls my friend I think you could comb somebody's hair with that thing.. LOL
I'm new here and from what I saw, this man is an awesome operator ! Look at him loading his trailer with such a gentle touch. Like a ballet. WOW ! Kudos, letsdig18 !
Love the vids. Both my dogs just woke up and starred at the TV when you had the high speed chain saw vid going.
You sure know how to get your moneys worth when loading a truck, you stuff em full! lol always good video Chris! KEEP ON DIGGING BROTHER!
Great video Chris thanks for sharing have a great day
Nice skills.
Fairly easy digging. Looks like the "Sandhills" of NC.
damn chris, i didnt see it but i could hear a big old fly whilst you were cutting that tree!
You're so smooth with those controls that I'll bet you can do open heart surgery with only one hand and both eyes closed.

Can u do a drone video over this site showing the old road and then the new one ? That would be cool thanks.
Tom H wqqqqqqqqqaq
Tom H C.
Looks like you still have it nice work Chris I wear the closes with holes in them or you need wife to sow them up take care stay cool
Great job Chris love your vids man. You should do a drone fly over of this project man. Thanks man
I miss the old beaver dam busting videos with the mud mats...
youre about to get all the mud matt videos you can dream of
You're better on a skid steer than I ever was.
Great job thanks for sharing
..WQW That's a lot of smokes on the hoof..lol ..nice road
Nice work, love the vids.
Great work good looking backer.
Fast Fwd chainsaw put me in the mind of the old Benny Hill Show
Nothing better than sitting in the comfort of my air conditioned castle watching a man work and listen to him philosophizing out in the host and nasty.
Thats a funny sounding chain saw you got there 😂😂😂😂
Chris, I bet we could all chip in a few pennies and get you a shirt that isn’t coming apart at the seams.
ventilation ... its hot outside
Never seen tobacco plants. Thanks for showing
buzz ard he is my neighbor!
Yep, have to haul the brush off, can't burn there without the money crop going up in smoke.
Woo wee that chain saw is ripping. Lol
Looking good Chris skid steer does beat you up a little they do a good job though for a small piece of equipment your just not used to being that low to the ground 🤣🤣
Thank you.
You sure know your stuff.
Another great job!!Wow sounds like a rattle trap. Ive never operated a tracked skid steer do they all sound like that??
I really like the 4 tooth thumb on your excavator, it seems much more useful than the nubs I normally see on them. Any drawback to that type of thumb?
Good grief is the soil down there dry or what. Doesn't seem to be any subsoil moisture either. How the heck does anything grow?
deep roots!
Like the video man ,have good weekend .
chris dont you just love operating the skid steer. i dont think other people truly understand how you get the shit shook out of you while operating one. ive been operating machinery for 12 years and i swear a skid steer is like riding a bull.
I grew up raising Burley tobacco up here in Ky !
Excellent results.
....13
Man I wish I could run equipment like that. Do you keep the money for the trees you haul off or does it go to the land owner
you get real good and we'll get ya your own spencer tape and a set of chaps. job security
7:30 might be time to invest in a bigger saw. Maybe something around 90cc
After you finish up can you fly your drone around so we can see the job from above?
That T880 though.
We use our excavator to hold the trees up. Keeps the saws from hitting the dirt
What do you do with that dirt that's full of sticks and debris? I've got a project going and have made a big pile of that mess myself
Mmmmmm look at allll that baccy!
Since i'm from Europe...that was an interesting fact about tobbaco field. That - tobbaco field- you can't see here.
Primoz Secundus you can see it in Africa and South America, the Tobacco Companies stole the high Nicotine seeds and moved the crop over seas.
Nice road Chris but where are the Hills, Swamp, Quicksand, sinkholes and Leeches?
Oh forgot that's the one I am currently working on.
Have a nice week end have fun Monday will watch If I am still above Ground.
I'm from western N.C. tobacco left here back in the 80s.
Nice work man as usual. Those teeth look like they would cut good. Not sure what brand bkt u run
Good morning there fella 👋👋
Buy a TREE MAN size chipper you will save money and make more money.
Random question: How does one go about learning how to operate heavy equipment?
Broken fence? It was that way when we started.
Jeans and boots? I would think it’s flip flop and shorts time:)
When is the new toy coming
What is the function of the serrated plate that sits atop the cross member on the bucket of the skid loader?
so you dont bust your ass when getting into it with wet or muddy feet
Ear plugs, plus a bunch!
At 7:444 Damn ! Wish my saw worked that fast LOL !
The skid steer sounds sick. What's up with the vibration noise?
It’s the tracks making it vibrate
sounds like the window screen bars are loss or broken
Seems like these Japanese skid steers just rattle. We have a couple of kubotas where I work and they both rattle like crazy. Could be the overhead door, I like them but I don't at the same time..
Yes the rattle is mostly the door, it’s a garage door style and they rattle like crazy. I put some weather stripping on mine and helps a little
you from eastern nc? sound like it. From Nash county myself
ether it is just were the camera is mounted or it is the way that skid steer is, cant see the dam bucket to see what you are doing, like so many machines are like, that's why many cant operate a D8 as you cant see the dam blade
Arnold Romppai you can't see the bucket cuting edge is some positions but you can see it in about 80% of the positions.
Great video, where you from?
why not have a indexator rotor on the volvo ?? would make Life so much easier.
Ever think about buying some isotunes earbuds?
When's the replacement for the 290 coming?
Love me some Tobacco
Turn down the idle on your saw you will save quite a few bucks on gas.
Nice
Isn't brush hard to dump out of a truck? Getting hung up on the tailgate?
Michael Oliver i think they have a barn door style gate
Great video CG!!!
How much does a new excavator Volvo cost 250
....and he missed the 'bacca lot!
is that one of your company trucks
Is that dump truck all air ride
Was that you that you that cut the fiber optic line in North Carolina on Friday?
not that I know of, but thats always my excuse when someone asks! LOL
letsdig18 I only ask because I work for the cable company in California and it caused havoc for us
I would love to have your job
So do the growers still have drying sheds on the property or is that gone away and some new technology for drying leaves come about?
Fred Newman in kentucky typically tobacco growers still put it in tobacco barns to dry
Fred Newman they normally harvest it and take it to the main farm where there are gas heated barns.
They use metal, gas heated Bulk Barns in Eastern NC.
Tom Slak See you learn something new everyday! I had no idea that they grew tobacco in Wisconsin, I always assumed that it was a southern crop.
Chris, I bet it stunk not being able to take your shoes off because your worker wasn't there.
You going to just leave the tree laying over in the others next to the field? lol...Cmon now.. you cant leave something like that there... I don't believe your OCD would let you.
Get a norm 4 in 1 bucket
What brand tape do you use?
stanley
Your chainsaws must not last long over revved like that. lol
That’s why I hate Takeuchi
You need to get your self a bobcat their alot more comfortable to run
farmer green bobcat are junk and yes I run both takeuchi and bobcat if your getting a ctl as a work horse and don't care about comfort get a takeuchi if your getting a ctl want power and comfort get a cat if you want a money pit get a bobcat.

farmer green I have a Takeuchi TL10 and a Bobcat t770 I agree with you it is very comfortable but if I could only choose one it would be the Takeuchi
No safety clothing used with the chainsaw. You could of filmed yourself bleeding to death if you had an accident..
The safety Would be doesn’t know a county boy can survive.
