I always get goosebumps seeing this fight because of next gen White Glint's backstory. Playing the game, you wonder how one NEXT (this game's ACs) is capable of singlehandedly defending an entire city-state that's by itself opposed to the combined powers of the world. Like, imagine a single mech is the sole reason why a country isn't annihilated yet by the world's powers. Heck, they even consider it stronger than the so-called No.1 AC in the world's rankings in their records. (SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT) Then later on you find out who the Operator (basically, the Handler for this game) for the pilot of the mech is and it just blows your mind. @victorykingpin3674 imagine it copies your play style as well. If you played a light build that had a missile set, the boss would copy your playstyle and barrage you while being untouchable
The core premise behind "NEXTs" is that they were the next generation of ACs. All the regular chaff enemies you fight through the game, are technically supposed to be ACs. There's a mission where you have to fight a team of the previous most elite AC pilots from the previous generation, whose pilots aren't compatible with NEXTs and thus stuck in their old machines. I remember it being kinda heart breaking how easily you wipe through them, and the way the games NPC narration describes them as "obsolete", despite how they were the heros of their own era.
