The thing is, I don't care about speed or handling in a luxury car. I just want it to be comfy. I loved my Buick 'cause it felt like driving a Lay-Z-Boy.
I miss my 02 Deville DTS. I’ve been waiting to find a 2004 Deville DTS in white with night vision, 2004 was the year they added the cooled front seats and heated steering wheel, plus the last year for 300hp Northstar. Hard to find here in Canada. Love this review. Wish this one had night vision! I’ve driven all of them, the DHS handles just fine. The DTS is certainly a bit better on the handling but not really that big of a difference - still lots of body roll and arguably more torque steer with a DTS. You could get night vision in DHS and DTS the entire time, for 2004 they made night vision available on base Deville as well - super rare to find that. These cars are truly great daily drivers. 04 is hit and miss with head gasket issues, most seem to remedied by that time. Even still, once that job is done, these things are reliable tanks that are *planted* in the snow. Deville’s have real Nuance leather made by Eagle Ottawa - they all do. DHS is ruched Nuance leather (door panels only for 04/05, prior models have ruched seats), DTS is perforated Nuance (until 04 when all were perforated when with heated and cooled). Devilles have the zebrano wood appliqués, yes, but DHS and DTS have the real zebrano wood. All my friends loved my DTS (my first car in high school) it was always the car everybody wanted to ride in lol.

It'll take some time to install though, especially if the car was driven in the rust belt. A lot of modern vehicles have difficult-to-get-at front lighting, so that's not a problem that's necessarily exclusive to DTS. It's got its share of pricey repairs, like with most domestics, but nothing too fatal.
160k miles?!? I don't think people really understand how important changing fluids ON TIME and preventive maintenance really is. 160k miles is not really a lot; with proper maintenance (and I emphasize proper, no extended intervals, cheap fluids, or any "fill for life" c**p) the vast majority of cars will make it at least 250-300k miles with few or no issues. Do not buy this car unless you are rich. A lot of shops don't want to work on a Northstar. Take it to the dealer. I bought one 3 years ago for $375 from a police impound. (Type Deville cleaning and one of my videos will come up) It had 146k miles when I got it. Yes I still own it and it now has 162k miles. Don't let a stupid tech like The Car Wizzard tell you it has a blown head gasket. If it ever run hot. The first thing a less skill person will think is it has a blown head gasket. I wish GM had install a 5 speed automatic transmission because the engine is over geared. The car only seem fast when you floor it. I love the sound of the engine and it will get around 19 mpg in the city.
I owned a dhs like this in a light gold paint, I bought the car off an older couple in pristine condition with only 80k miles for 4-5 thousand dollars a great deal. Sadly it got totaled when a older lady ran a red light and t-boned me 😢

Have you ever driven the third gen Q45? I considered that car to be a Japanese Caddy. All the swagger of the Deville but none of the reliability gremlins. I would recommend that over used caddy any day. Hard to find though due to abysmal sale when new.
Northstar engines are notorious with expensive problems don't take my word for it do your own research if you see a Cadillac with Northstar engine run away
Northstar v8s are so horrible never buy a used one ... or get a warranty and get ready to useeeeeee that warranty! My dad had 2 driends when I was a kid he'd help fix the engines over and over and over again and then just said get rid of it. Its the worst engine ever.
Yes they are awful engines. For people that like these types of cars I recommend a Buick with the 3800 v6, possibly the Buick Lucerne (based off the cadillac dts) or a Ford panther body, like a Grand Marquis/Lincoln towncar. Lexus are the best but not everyone can afford them.
😂😂 I couldn’t help but note the chuckling. Really who forced you into that your credibility and reputation hasn’t been put at stake it’s on the stake. If you are going to review cars, maybe learn something about them before you film. The DHS isn’t more luxurious then the DTS. Do you know anything about trim levels? Deville is base, dhs then dts the top dog that came with more standard options…

@@MeynMotorGroup Yes sir I liked the big body caddies growing up one of my uncles would get a new one every year lol and I’m talking about real classic back in the 80s and 90s classics the first SUVs I loved when they first dropped was those Cadillac trucks they looked so big and elegant with style and luxury I was like wow when they first came out like that’s big pumpkin for real 😂🤣 man bro how times have changed
Hahaha yup bro you're so right how times have changed yea I remember admiring these huge cars and Escalades as a kid I thought it was so baller
ESA:
"What makes this car great? ...you can put your lady friends in the back."
Big facts 💯 😂
That is true! I can fit four of them in the backseat with no arguments and no jealousy. What kind of a grandfather is that?
Should I buy one for 2k with 180k miles
@@chapoelite1491 Are you rich?
Their fun to drive!!!
have you ever heard of the Pontiac Bonneville GXP with the Northstar engine
No but I did just review a Pontiac G8 GXP lol
Grand prix 1yr also had a model with said motor
How much to fix the Northstar head gasket 3-4k so its a loss 📉
I saw one at the side of the road abandoned last month, btw merry christmas bro
Not surprised lol 😆 I saw an old jag broken down in the middle of the road once. But yes Merry Christmas to you and your family as well!
Hi. Yes I had a 2002 and Oil Leaks. So Many Problem Codes Come up all the time.
Sadly yes that's the reality
Beautiful car
My best friend has a 2006 DTS, and it is much easier to drive in the city than my 2017 Continental.
Nice!
Should have been named "the 2004 Cadillac them ho's better have my money!"
Do they last as long as lexus. ?
no
I owned a dhs like this in a light gold paint, I bought the car off an older couple in pristine condition with only 80k miles for 4-5 thousand dollars a great deal. Sadly it got totaled when a older lady ran a red light and t-boned me 😢
Lmao that was hella funny. Forreal man these guys annoy the F out of me with their “I’ve driven it for 2.9 billion miles and never had a problem”. You speaking fax man, you keep doing you. Btw, I do think this car is gorgeous.
Yea I despise that lol 😆 people be having all sorts of nonsense cars like an S class with 3 million miles on it no issues so annoying these people
We got the same taste man
Also my favorite car ever. RIP to the one that I totaled.
Iv had one before. It was sweet
Have you ever driven the third gen Q45? I considered that car to be a Japanese Caddy. All the swagger of the Deville but none of the reliability gremlins. I would recommend that over used caddy any day. Hard to find though due to abysmal sale when new.
I have not! But I do know what car you're talking about those things looked awesome lol
I have to admit... it looks good. I had an 06 STS with the Northstar. It looked great but died in Germany.. lol
Oh damn 😆 sorry to hear that but yea that's why I dont suggest some Highschooler to go out and buy one lol
This was the sunday Pastor Pimp's car...
It should be the Pope's car
Northstar is a great engine just Maintain it
Yea I think it was mainly a bolt on the head gasket that went wrong
After 2004 the face-lifted dts 06 and up are flawless
@@RageHP-RageHorsePower I thought they fixed the problem in 05?
@@zachmasters7397 late 2004 early 05 so yes
@@RageHP-RageHorsePower ok you had me worried, I'm buying an 05 tomorrow.
If that leather backseat could tell stories
I wish Cadillac still used actual names.
Yea I miss that too
This car is so you Kevin. Seriously.
Review a new Lincoln Continental!
I'll try to!
Notification squad 🙌🏽
Haha appreciate it my friend happy holidays!
LOL you throw around the shade so easiliy!
😆
Screaming coolant issues, DTS and STS. beautiful cars though.
Def need a warranty or some extra budgeting
👍😎
Happy Holidays my friend!
@@MeynMotorGroup Merry Christmas!
I got my 02 dts on the groundddd
load up with the vatos and cuchitas`!
The DHS has 6 seats, the DTS has only 5.
Sounds like the cars in early GTA games 😂😂 Fun review Kevin!
I can def see this in GTA lol
@@MeynMotorGroup 😂🤣
Better than a crossover dweeb mobile.

What's up bro happy holidays!
@@MeynMotorGroup Happy Holidays bro 😎🤝👍🏾👍🏾
I wanna buy one can anybody help me?
Get a 06-11 dts….if you gotta have this body style..get a 2005
Northstar engines are notorious with expensive problems don't take my word for it do your own research if you see a Cadillac with Northstar engine run away
Mines been good 7 years now.
Northstar motor can be big promble i my understanding
yes
16 inch wheels on that big ass car??
That was the norm back then, not just for Cadillac.
This fool said zucchini wood. 🤣lol
Northstar v8s are so horrible never buy a used one ... or get a warranty and get ready to useeeeeee that warranty! My dad had 2 driends when I was a kid he'd help fix the engines over and over and over again and then just said get rid of it. Its the worst engine ever.
I heard after 06 they fixed the head gasket bolt failure
Yes they are awful engines. For people that like these types of cars I recommend a Buick with the 3800 v6, possibly the Buick Lucerne (based off the cadillac dts) or a Ford panther body, like a Grand Marquis/Lincoln towncar. Lexus are the best but not everyone can afford them.
@@Skyman08
People who drive Cadillacs don’t settle for less. Certainly not any of the crap you mentioned. Lol
@@Samuelfish2k lol ok then, whatever you say.
@@Samuelfish2k 😁😁 that was a good one
cant like the vid since its at 555 lmk when it has more🙏🏻
Bonneville gxp engine lol yes warranty desperately needed after purchase 😆🤣😂 typical gm product
Big boy warranty 😆
Driving around in a serta mattress 😭🤣
Mysterious over heating problems 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Northstar
Yep
Welcome to the world of Cadillac, kid. There’s no turning back now. Lol.
Such a nice car they should have never put that trash 4.6 Northstar in it
I'm attracted to it.
😂😂 I couldn’t help but note the chuckling. Really who forced you into that your credibility and reputation hasn’t been put at stake it’s on the stake. What’s next a bespoke converted storage container with engine wheels steering wheel and a hole with window taped on.
I’m a subscriber for god sake with notifications switched on.
😆 🤣 😂
If you are going to review cars, maybe learn something about them before you film. The DHS isn’t more luxurious then the DTS. Do you know anything about trim levels? Deville is base, dhs then dts the top dog that came with more standard options…
Top trim level doesn't mean more luxurious. You are incredibly incorrect
