HWO not to fast ;) He is more like a mix between Gianni Meersman and Valverde / Gilbert, always one of fastest when hilly stage with little group sprint false flat or uphill ! He dominates it. MVDP can't do that on such finals, never he can stay in that group when final 3k climb that has 500m @ 13% in it, only he can when its cobbled he could. But those stages Nys won here at age 21, those kind of profile MVDP never won in his carreer , at least not at WT level to be fair.

This is the new age of cycling so people forget how difficult it is to hold your form for an entire year. ESPECIALLY after the tour Even in past years pogacar has come like 65th in bretagne classic after the tour. Also this parkour doesn’t suit Jonas whatsoever. It’s punchy short climbs. I garentee that if he faced any of these riders on a real mountain he would out 10 mins into them. Plus he won anyway

His dad could have done great things on the road, but never focussed on it really and didn't had the mental fight to go for it as Nys and it was different times when people liked to test the grey zone and had an example in Amstrong to follow his path
