And learning about the poetic justice with you coming back after recovering from your health issues just makes this even sweeter, keep up the good work :)

Is it me or the audio seems sometimes desynced from the gameplay at [...], 17:23, 20:09, 24:56, 26:12, 27:31, 29:05, 31:07, 33:55, 35:30, 36:19 (!!!) and 37:38 (very obvious). I can hear the "shine touch" sound before Mario actually touches it !? Use youtube 0.25 speed to clearly hear it, but it's noticeable enough to see it at full speed. It's not due to the video because most shines afterwards seems fine ! Also, important note : All unlisted shines before 37:38 are due to the fact Mario can be placed exactly at the shine fall location so it's hard to guess the timing. -------------------------------------- >TL;DR : Audio is clearly desynced since AT LEAST 14:00 of the video and 38:03 (exactly), where we can hear a weird audio cut and after that, the audio is synced with the gameplay. --------------> Seems like all of that mess is caused by the capture card and he fixed it while he plays at the mentioned time
From watching his streams, he has this issue quite often. My theory is that it’s because of a composite to hdmi converter (or some other weird settings). None of the audio sounds different than what the system would output (when considering the delay). This doesn’t really affect the legitimacy of the run, but it’s quite weird.

I'm wondering if there is a way to go out of bounds, and then get back in bounds behind the gate to Corona Mountain and enter it as soon as you unlock the rocket nozzle. Imagine how much of the game you'd be able to skip.

not that he hasn't had any competition, but nobody has been as consistently at the top as diddeh has since he got the first 1:15. it's so great to have been here to witness such greatness in this game that I've loved since childhood.
Yanno what blew my mind yesterday was I got eel skip yesterday on the switch by accident I got damaged just at the right second I was in complete shock cause that was the only skip I was never able to do.
So I would like to bring to your attention that in sirena beach episode 6, I was just doing the level normally and for some reason it just ended before my time was up. I did only the beach and it ended at 2:31. If you could figure what caused this I’m sure it could help your run a bit
It is an emulation glitch caused only in the 3d all stars version. Right now no one knows exactly what causes it so its basically RNG to get it in a run.

I just found a glitch that can help get a faster time on Sarina Beach bc i was just spam spraying on episode 6 and I during it I jumped on the guy that is cleaning with a broom and then the timer stopped and over half of the map is still covered in goo and i was able to get the star????

There's been no new skips or anything discovered really, some new strats for old skips (like 1 stu EYG) plus a lot of movement optimization.

@@Ziroikabi 100% RNG was a huge factor. Purely just from getting Ramel Cycle, he went from being down 9 seconds to being ahead by 10.
his 1:14:40 had really trash RNG for WR runs, and he had a death and that equals about the minute he saved in this run

The reason why his timer starts from 5;40 is that Sunshine speedruns use a hacked file to skip the 3 intro cutscenes.

It's been known you can clip behind the gate via super rocket, but the problem is the load zone isn't there before shadow mario floods delfino.

That happened to me as well. 3D All Stars personally. No idea why it happened.
That's a known bug in emulators & 3D All-stars. It's weird. Not possible in the normal any% category of course, which requires the original game.
