Saw him doing a live show at the Club Fiesta in Stockton in the 1970's when he was involved with National Boys Clubs. Boy, could he work an audience. What a showman. Met him backstage after the show. What a lovely man.
My Mam and Dad went to see him in concert and my Dad let slip that he was the best looking fella he had ever seen. He never ever lived that down, bless him. Mam loved this song. She passed yesterday. RIP Mum.
I was born sept 17th 1999 the day he passes away. Im an actress from london with a similar background and i just find him so relatable. I totally look up to him and find him inspiring. What a legacy he left 🙏🏻💕🤝🏻
Too True Wotanm but even more than that he was a thoroughly nice man as well, I was an apprentice Tailor in a small Jewish tailors shop in Harehills and he used to come in with a famous bodybuilder, Reg Parks and another friend called Dennis Wineberg, and he would chat to us as if he had known us for years.
jay sarson Hi he is apperently yes. 1 of my relatives was his chauffeur . He's no longer with us, Frankie went to his funeral . Now that's a great man isn't? Regards to you lovely 👍
Remembering my dear old friend, Haydn Blair Walbrook. He looked a ringer for Frankie & would serenade the ladies who came over looking for an autograph. Great times in the bar at The Imperial Hotel, Blackpool. RIP old friend!
My late mother told me a story many years ago ! Frankie was offered a huge glitzy contract to star in a movie I believe it was ‘Some like it hot’ co starring The late Marilyn Monroe and a once in a lifetime to break into Hollywood and a movie career, his wife did not want to uproot and leave England he declined the opportunity putting his wife first !! Devotion and loyalty you don’t see much of that these days !
Give me the moonlight Give me the girl And leave the rest to me Give me a shady nook By a babbling brook Where no one can see Give me a bench for two Where we can bill and coo And mine she's gonna be If there's anyone in doubt And they'd like to try me out Give me the moonlight Well - give me the girl And leave the rest to me And leave the rest to me The rest to me.
Great singer & performer Frankie Vaughan should have become a big star from "Let's Make Love" winning appearance with Marilyn Monroe, talented and seriously good looking full of charm, maybe wrong promotion but the guy has it big time!!!
Who are you, cxiller9238? Frankie was also my relative by marriage. I grew up with him coming to my grandma's house in Brighton, where he had several relatives including my uncle David and Aunty Linda, Aunty Pamela, and my family. Frankie a'h was a wonderful person, may he rest in peace.
Class. You've got it or you haven't.
Frankie had it in abundance.
It really does brings tears to my eyes watching my great grandpa perform
He was my moms favourite, she loved it when he kicked that leg, a wonderful human being always had time for his fans. RiP Frankie.

He always reminded me of the great actor, Victor Mature. His style was right up there with Dean Martin!

His kind of entertainment seemed to slip away overnight, and something else jumped into it's place.
My mums also..especially when he does the kick ❤

He's a second Dean Martin, with a small bit of Frank Sinatra thrown in. And Chuck Barris from the Gong Show.
