I use both of these companies depending on the destination and requirements of entry. If you are going to be abroad for a long time and/or don't need as much coverage, I would recommend SafetyWing. I haven't visited Bangkok in many years now, but i've very fond memories of my time there.
Interestingly, for many who don't know, Bangkok is pretty much the only "true" modern city centre in Thailand. It's the centre of cosmopolitan culture & is the big business & commerce district & is very well built & modern, possessing good infrastructure & is clean etc;.
Once you leave this big city centre, you head out to the "real" & much more authentic Thailand & the one that i much prefer.
Rural Thailand, dotted with smaller towns & villages & of course, really good & authentic food & culture.
Much lush greenery to be found & plenty of beautiful, warm & friendly people abound.

This city is so nice and clean , beside that , the sky train cabin also clean as well .
A few years ago the water in the canals was pure black. The smell was really bad. But since last year the government put a lot of effort on cleaning them up. They're still working on it and also renovating the piers. They also plan to replace all boats with electric boats. By next year Bangkok's canals would look much better. This is the best choice of transportation whenever I want to avoid the road traffic. This boat line stops near the golden mountain.
PS. I experienced the same confusion in the exact same pier lol. You did a good job.

That was one of your best live streams you have ever done for us. The adventures you took us on was so much enjoyed by me and it appears everyone enjoyed it. The scenery was so wonderful and the size of the malls were surprising. In this area of America, most malls are failing and a lot of them are shut down for good. This boat is probably cruising to ramkhamhaeng area.There will be the names of stations signed at the stop point where the boat is from ,and the next station.That ticket price probably can access you to almost to the end station of the line.
One more Thai word “Mai Ped” meaning no chilli or “Ped Noi” less chilli.

Usually,A&W restaurants in bkk are located at the places in which are hard to get there.You are about to get to taco bell shop on the first fl.mbk.BTW,there is gonna have more rain next month,you probably should get a thin and light weight plastic cover for protect the rain.Usually,the boats will come every fifteen minutes or twenty and half an hour.

You may check out the Baiyoke sky hotel rooftop . Its budget friendly and It's really one of the tallest skyscraper in Bangkok. Or the expensive one the King Power Mahanakon Tower. It's also one of the highest point in Bangkok , but this one is quite expensive.
Oh .. just in case you didn't know it yet... Thailnad's Covid case number has rised up exponentially in just a few weeks. So be prepared.

As far as I'm concerned (native Bangkokian) west bank of Chaophraya is definitely Bangkok, it's actually where Bangkok originated if I understand it correctly. We just refer to that side of Bangkok as "Thonburi" without knowing the clear demarcation of where it starts and ends. BTW I was really worried about the lone walker behind you in the lonely alley just before you crossed the bridge. You can imagine a lot of people are out of job in Thailand at this time and snatch theft and robbery of mobile devices is more rampant than ever before from what I heard.
Dear Alina:Just tell the food vendors not to put chilli on the menus you order.You can also take canel boats.From station of patoonum station (for boat),you just walk a little bit to access to bts skytrain stationed called'sukhumvit'.
I suppose the bts stop is close to the stop point you're waiting after getting off from the first stop.Grand palace should be opposite to where you are heading .Taxi fee is quite expensive.You're on the right track of getting the boat as your exploration.I would suggest only when you have heavy stuffs to be with you to take taxi.
Dear Alina:If you have any chances,you probably try order the plate consisting of bitter bean called 'sator' fried together with either shrimp or squid.It's a kind of herb grown in only in southern part of Thailand.Are you gonna get off at siam square station?

Elephant island or koh Chang is the place you should visit first before access to other islands at the southern part of Thailand.It's located in Trad province distanced approximately by eastern route public bus at ekamai station for five hours driving.There's an awesome lodging located on the hill at the island .There you can swim in the pool,step up and down the ladders for one hundred steps,and the gym tools.I forget the name of lodging .The owner seems to be German. It's not far from Kai bar beach.You have to take the ferry from the pier on the land .The boat leaves and arrives every two hours.

If you do not have google map app with you, please look out for the maps at stations / peers. Always check with the maps first before getting on any vehicle. They are with English labels and definitely help. Relate the directions with the sun, since it is sunny in Thailand. I wish you would cool yourself down amidst this super heated weather. If at the Grand Palace, please try restaurants near the peers where you have choices to take boat across to Wat Aroon, the Temple of the Dawn, on the opposite bank; or a high speed boat to the south, toward Icon Siam / Shangrila , or the north to authentic Thai local market in Nonthaburi. A lot of people were also worried for your health safety, Covid-wise. Sorry, please take care.
Please be aware that even Thai people can get heat stroke being in the sun in BKK at this time of the year.

Are you coming to visit the Siam paragon?Be beware of the prices tagged for the fresh fruits ,it may cost more than usual.Probably you should get some refreshing chilled towel or paper for cleaning your sweat when it's getting too hot.This time is the cheapest price to get mango with stocky rice.
