    My main goal for 2020 is to become more confident and to start to overcome my social anxiety. It’s getting to the point where I’m missing out on things because of it and I don’t want to let it get any worse

      two years ago i was afraid of every kind of social interactions and i really hated going school. i had a lot of panic attacks that year and it was definitly the worst year of my life. but in my experience, key to overcome your fears is expose to them. you have to go to school, you have to stand for yourself and you have keep on trying. you are not gonna be a carefree person just in one try.
      and i think strangers are more easy to talk with. i always tried to tell people if i thought about something nice. let's say i liked someone's hat on the bus, then i say so. and even it is not everyone, there are a lot of nice and kind people too. don't rush and don't feel bad for your mistakes in your way to achieve your aim.

      One thing is related to the other, so I think that if you get to be more confident you’ll be able of overcoming your social anxiety. You could just try to visit a psychologist, it could help you sooo much (if you haven’t tried it yet) ;)

      I think you should set your goals a bit higher then drink 1L of water, like 2 or 2.5 would be a lot healthier (no hate obs, just encouraging!)

    My 2020 new years resolution:
    1• Sleep longer (going sleep early, waking up early)
    2• Get clearer skin,
    3• Drink 2L a day,
    4• Make new friends,
    5• Become a better dancer (I just started in September),
    6• Become more flexible (back, legs and feet flexibility),
    7• Get right, left & middle splits,
    8• Pay attention in class/school,
    9• Be more productive/not lazy,
    10• Workout/go on a jog in the morning before school.

    I remember one time I was studying for Math and I was writing down notes and I messed up so I erased it but then I rewrote it and it didn't look good, so I erased it and then my led broke and when I tried rewriting it, it looked a mess and there was the whole eraser mark and I ended up throwing away the entire paper. Did this five times. Stressed me out. Only got in about thirty minutes of studying. I hate perfectionism; it's good and bad at the same time.

      cosmiclights me too sis 😔 my cousins and sisters are so skinny and I always feel freaking huge around them :( I’m not over weight or anything, but my goal for 2020 is to loose my thigh fat 😅

      Same here.💕 that's why I just started my channel. It helps me to keep me my mind busy but relaxed. My advice for you: don't give up, even if the changing is even harder because it means to leave your comfort zone. The beginn is hard but keep doing and you will see results. Write your thoughts and attack them with positive thoughts. At rhe beginn may be weird but after a while your brain learn to thing in a good way. You can do it💕

    My new year goals:
    - Loving myself and being more selfconfident
    - Smiling more often
    - Working on my mental health, so that I am doing better
    - Don' t thinking that other people are better then me and then trying to hate on them, to feel better, so just trust people more and give chances
    - Taking dance classes
    - Going to art school
    - Drawing more often
    - Not trying to be perfect all the time
    - Getting over my anxiety
    - Caring more for my horse
    - Doing more yoga and meditation
    - Sewing my dream dress
    - Making new friends and maybe a soulmate
    - Trying to socialize more, get out there and just do stuff
    - Getting my driver (driving? Idk) license
    -Reading 4 books
    - Learning how to cook and eat healthier
    - Making the best out of everything or even trying to
    - Getting better skin

      @@ariahym Thank you! Yes I do have a horse. Yeah I think I should be thankful for that, but I have bad problems, caring for him, not exactly because of him, but because of the whole situation and stuff. Its hard to explain.. whatever, sometimes I struggle really hard giving him the life I want for him and that fucks up. I obviously need to talk to my therapist about that..

    I love how open you are about not being so creative!! Not a lot of people can admit they “don’t get ideas” I live with 3 others who make music, make art, etc. and I always feel bad about how I can’t make anything! Working on creativity is definitely a goal of mine too!

    My goals
    •work on my studies (get homework done the day it’s given)
    •heal my body (I have 2 cases of tendinitis and many other injuries)
    •drink at least 64 oz of water a day
    •get a job
    •eat healthier: not as much junk food, more fruits and veg
    •dejunk and stay organized
    •go to the gym at least 3 times a week. Or work out at least 3 times a week.
    •start journaling
    •stop being a homebody, hang out with friends/ make more friends
    •start to learn Spanish
    •be more confident

    3. run the half marathon
    4. take care of my body inside (nutrition, stress levels)
    5. try harder in my classes (be more organised)
    6. make new friends and make more amazing memories with them
    7. love my family more

    I had really high goals for 2019.
    I just wanted to be perfect. There was no time for selflove anymore. I had a mental breakdown and now I am struggling with a depression.
    I am positive that it will get better !
    But I just want to heal next year. I want to enjoy the silence of just being in the Moment and get better step by step.
    I also realized that it is not always about working out ..
    There are more relaxing hobbys.
    I love to go swimming and I want to try climbing.
    But again: I have to feel better for that.
    I just wanted to share that. (:

    So far my goals for 2020 are:
    -get straight A’s to get a higher gpa before graduating university
    -be more consistent with art
    -grow my art insta: @espressiones__ (if you wanna follow me :)
    -travel to europe
    -be more social (not miss out on opportunities because I feel more confortable being alone)
    -start my cinematography career, hopefully

    When you move to London make sure you find a good group of friends because London can be quite a hard place to build a community because everyone in London is kinda doing there own thing , it can get lonely sometimes 🙃

    Tips to improve on creativity
    Write down 5 ideas everyday
    They can be the stupidest ideas you’ve ever had but at the end of the year there’s gotta be at least one good one
    It also helps your brain become used to thinking in creative ways to meet your 5 idea minimum

      María Recuero yea any ideas. I think it’s best for right after you wake up. You can finish it throughout the day or all at once. Anything you’ve been thinking about or maybe there’s something that’s been bugging you try to find a solution don’t look stuff up just think on it for a bit. You’ll be surprised how easy it can become to find ideas in every day activities.

    My main goals for this year include:
    -enroll into the university of my dreams and slowly start cultivating self confidence by proving myself to myself
    -spend a day in nature every month
    -take the stairs instead of the elevator
    -eat at least one fruit a day/and cut down on junk food
    -apply some face masks once in a while
    -learn to say no to social outings without regrets when I’m feeling overwhelmed with socializing
    -tone up my body in the summer after I’m finished with my exams and finally start learning French while continuing my German

    At the end of 2019 I realized how much of a people-pleaser I am, especially for people that aren’t family or friends so I decided to stop that in 2020 too :)

      I think we should really be ourselves with others and don't wear masks just to please them. Fear of rejection is real and damn scary, but you never now if others will like you or not if you don't try (i know it's stupid and commonplace, but by my own experience is true). Sometimes conversations just happens: you ask for information or advice about something for school/uni/work, you discover someone that has same interest as you, and any other simple ones. At first is always akward and difficult to break the ice, but one time you do it, if it is the right person, it will get better!

    i kind of have this automatism where i try to guess people's mbti type (i love mbti a lil too much)

    I really resonated with your 1st, 8th, 13th, 17th and 19th goal. As someone who's in their last year of university, I really want to just tell you all the things I wish someone told me when I was your age. You remind me a lot of myself.
    if you do decide to go to university, here are some tips:
    1. put yourself FIRST. this is something I had to learn the hard way. people will treat you how you treat yourself. set boundaries, do what you want to do, and say 'no' to things that don't appeal to you. don't forget about your wellbeing. have those small things that allow you to feel free. I know it will be hard with the increase in workload, but you won't be able to perform your best if you haven't been taking care of yourself first, even if that means staying in your dorm for one day and watching all those tv shows and eating lots of food! (I don't mean do this often though! just those times when you really need a break and time with yourself). And if you're anything like me, saying 'no' will be hard at first, but that's how you will set boundaries.
    2. Say 'yes!' (I knowww this contradicts with the saying 'no' part lol, but its important to have a balance so, time to say 'yes' to things). say yes to what you want to do! This is the only time you'll be in a place that has so many different types of people from different walks of life, with so many societies and activities going on and workshops and extra stuff like classes, do everything and anything you are interested in! first year is the time to do this! I wish I did all those things before because now in third year I'm struggling with it all and socialising and wanting to make the most of all the money that's going into university.
    3. be yourself. this comes back to one of your points in your video about people pleasing. I still do this, thought I got better but I'm getting there. if you're anything like me and struggle attracting likeminded people then this is something for you. its hard doing those things that others might not have an interest in, or speaking about things that might sound boring to others but that's the thing, its not meant to appeal to everyone. you won't appeal to everyone, but to those you do it will be as easy as breathing conversing with them.
    4. get out of your comfort zone! (when I was writing this I didn't finish the video whoops butttt still want to say it) this is the only safe place to make the mistakes you cant in the real world. you will grow so much. trust me.
    5. have fun. you won't experience anything like this ever again. you will learn so much more outside of your subject, so much about yourself and about people and the world. everything that happens will shape you and increase you in so many ways. be grateful for it
    there's so many more things I want to say but ill leave it at that for now. I could write a whole essay lol. hope you or someone else benefits from this x
    ps: I got to university through clearing! don't put a lot of pressure on yourself to get the grades (thats easier said than done I know) butttt you can still get to university even if you don't get the grades so start thinking about alternative options.

    my goals:
    - always be reading a book (i don’t care if i only get through like 4 books this year as long as i’m consistently reading)
    - drink at least 6 (8oz) cups of water a day
    - practice trumpet at least 4 times a week
    - study japanese at least once a week / take the JLPT
    - get my permit (i’ve really been procrastinating it)
    - floss daily

    i feel you in so many levels about being a people pleaser. i noticed that my personality alters a lot too whenever i'm with different people, even online- the words i choose and the way i type. and at one point, i kind of know that being a people pleaser is kind of a good thing (?) because you know that you care about people and you don't want to hurt them, but still, i'm tired because the bad honestly outwieghs the good. it gives me anxiety, makes me overthink; i go to sleep with the question if i said anything bad today; i wake up just to say to myself to be pleasing to others so that they would be comfortable with me; and honestly, it just stems from me wanting other people to like because i feel hurt when they don't. and i seriously want to put that on my goals next year, and i want to keep on reminding myself that i don't need other people's validation to know that i am happy and that i am a good person living a good life, and that i don't have ths capability to make everyone around me happy. it's tiring :((

    My goals for 2020:
    - Try to make 1 new friend. The only friend I've ever had doesn't really have time for me anymore... which is really sad. I'm not really pushing myself too much on this one because maybe I should just focus on my relationship with my Mom that really blossomed this year and she is my best friend.
    - Write 100 Poems. This might be a stretch 😂. I become vulnerable through words and I think I can grow myself a lot through my literary art. I already write so much so maybe it won't be super hard.
    - Stop thinking negative thoughts about myself.
    - Find an adventure. I'm not asking for a big quest or something you would see in TV, but something I can do that requires bravery and ambition!
    - Journal more. I want my future kids to have my journals one day.
    - Just be happy! Turn negativity into the seeds you grow from. The sun being the positive thoughts you grow to.

      That's reachable.💕 I am still dealing with it, but I am on the good way 💕 work with yourself everyday, write your thoughts and attack them with positives, do something which relax you everyday. For example after working so much with me I made my channel. It helps me to keep my mind busy but relaxed. It is like a meditation for me💕

      that’s been one of my goals for a long time and i’m slowly beginning to reach it and i absolutely love giving advice to people going through the same thing, so my advice to use is to not look at it as getting rid of it at first because to get rid of it, you have to accept it and then find ways to change it. instead of getting rid of it, manage it. and then slowly it’ll go away and it’ll be less noticeable to you. i’ve done this by training my brain to erase negative thoughts (for example when i say something to the cashier and immediately regret it, instead of letting my mind simmer over it for days, i say to myself, ‘it doesn’t matter they didn’t care and it won’t effect me in five years so it shouldn’t effect me now.’) and after telling my initial thoughts “no” i’ve started thinking about things a lot less. i also highly recommend mark manson’s book “The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fuck”. it trains you to look at things differently. much luck on your new year !!!

    Tips for your new years resolution;
    Start, NOW. New years resolution is things you want to _achieve_ on the next year, not things that you should only start doing next year.
    Also, it's okay if you let yourself down a few times, don't just give up completely. It's honestly perfectly normal and balanced cus you need rest too, so you can continue doing whatever it is that you wanted to achieve.
    Don't hold back because of any doubts you have, seriously, just start. You don't want to regret the things you've done, but more than that, the things you could've done.

    I don't ever make set goals, but for 2020 I'd really like to become more fit and more active. I'm sick of falling behind in classes because of being lazy and it's time to change. I'd also love to become more social and overcome my social anxiety as well as work on my depression.

    • Get good grades at school

    • Be a better hip hop dancer

    • Draw more (bc drawing makes me feel better, but I don’t have drawing skills)

      You will get over anxiety. I still deal with it but I am on the good way. Keep working with yourself and find out things which helps you to relax. For example I started my RUclips channel which is a form of meditation for me. It keeps me busy but calmed and relax.💕

    My 2020 goal is to get in college. A lot has happened and although I was a top student, when the grades mattered my mental health took a toll on me and I was too burnt out. Lots of family disputes, and lawsuits because of my parents' divorce...etc
    I want to look forward to 2020 and achieve my goals but it's very hard and overwhelming.

    -Write a book (I always start one and never finish😂)
    -Eat healthier
    -15,000 steps a day
    -get clear skin
    -not be the quiet friend
    -work on flexibility
    -get fit lol
    -get in the A grade netball team (I’ve gotten in Bs every year)
    -get an iron infusion (I’m anaemic)
    -start learning Mandarin
    -get a part time job
    -actually try in school ( I never study, nor do I do homework and yet I still get good grades. I’m scared that’s not gonna last)
    -stop going beet-red every time someone looks at me
    -practice realism drawing/painting at least once a day
    -compliment someone at least once at least day

    My 2020 goals are:
    1. Getting as good in korean as I am in french (I hate french because of school and I don't learn french anymore (I could stop taking lessons this year) but I was kinda good at it compared to my classmates and I wanna get at this level with my korean too)
    2. to dance more often/to learn 1 or 2 new choreographies a month
    (I don't take dance lessons and I'm really busy. I dance almost every evening at home to relieve stress but I wanna learn more (kpop) choreos/do it more often, because I always dance the same stuff and it get's boring after some time)
    3. prepare for my A-levels, study a lot
    4. plan to travel out of europe (for 2021)
    5. get a part time job and save money
    6. do more yoga
    ....... (I don't have time to finish writing my goals but these are the first few, sorry for my bad english, I'm from Germany and not really good at english)

    I don't know if this will help you or not, but the way I learned my splits (which isn't the most recommended way). I would take socks that were slippery and go into my kitchen and try to drop into the splits it would hurt but it would heal and I learned my splits in 3 months. That was almost 5 years ago and I can still just drop down into my splits.

    My goals
    1. become fluent in korean I've already been learning for 7 months.
    2.overcome social anxiety and learn how to have a normal conversation with a human bean.
    3.get good grades on gcse like 7,8,9and agrade 4 in maths.
    4.To find good friends who have similar goals to me and morals.
    5.learn more things about the world read more books become a smarter person.
    6.be the best person I can be and stay true to my character.
    7.not lie about my bisexuality to my friends.i know they will act werid towards me but then they obviously weren't my friends in thr first place and there are amazing people who do accept me.
    8.exercise to keep my body physically fit and also keep to keto diet to keep my mind healthy and lose weight and get to a size 6 or size 4.
    My mind keep telling me to write two more to make it yen but I'm gonna resist the urge because I have no other goals😂❤️❤️❤️💯

    recommend smart goals, smart being an acronym for specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time based. i haven’t done this yet for my 2020 goals but going through each goal on a note pad and writing down how the goal is each one of those things and how really helped make you see this is something you can do. you can search smart goal template and find some things that are super helpful. good luck

    you really remind me of myself.. my goals are kind of the same like I’m trying to learn Korean right now, I also feel like I’m okay at Drawing but I’ve stopped as well, I also notice my personality changes when I’m around different people (which is annoying and draining) and i want to try dance classes but I’m kinda scared I’m too late (I’m 15 years old). But yeah it’s kinda cool looking at someone who has the same goals as me because it inspires me and makes me feel like I’m not alone and I can do it as well. I don’t know if all these things are really common but still thank u for this video ❤️

    Goals for 2020
    •Become more confident with my body
    •Looking in the mirror and not saying bad things about my body or face
    •Don’t stress about things that I won’t be able to change no matter what I do
    •Get rid of my social anxiety and learning to talk to people like ordering my own food and presenting school projects with no problem
    •Getting a healthier body but not making it all about weight
    •Drinking more water
    •Stop using my phone so much, When I’m bored I need to go outside or paint or do something not just scroll through tiktok
    •I need to learn to not be afraid to leave the house and hanging out with my friends more.
    •Actually try with how I dress and act so I won’t be that negative girl that wears sweatpants and hoodies everyday.
    •Keep up my good grades! So far straight A’s! I don’t want to burn out of motivation so I can keep making my parents proud.
    •Don’t “milk out” bad things instead I need to cheer myself up and not let little things ruin my *whole* day
