Hello Jelena, I am happy to hear from you. You are welcome. I guess I will be hearing a lot from you over the next year. Please share my videos with your friends. Also, do you know about my Maths multiple choice website, dubemaths.com? I think it will serve you well over the year.
I am very happy to hear. Please share my videos with others that you think would benefit. Have you heard about my multiple choice website dubemaths.com?
Hello DeDe. I am really happy to hear that you have signed up to write CSEC Maths next year. Do not stress yourself out unnecessarily. If Maths does not come naturally to you, you will have to spend extra time with it until you get it. The good thing is that there are a lot of resources on RUclips and elsewhere online that you can use to help you understand. Once you put in the time consistently, you will do well in the exam. Don't worry... do as much as you can do online in the meantime until you find a Maths lessons class to attend. For example, in addition to these RUclips videos focused on Multiple choice questions, I also have some videos that teaches the foundational topics ( check out my playlists on Number Theory, Computation and Algebra). Also, I have a website that gives you additional multiple choice practice. At www.dubemaths.com you can try questions and you get the answers immediately along with the worked solution. Let me know ever so often how you are progressing. Again, do not worry, put in the time and effort and you will do fine.
For question 8 I was too lazy to write down all the factors.. so I did something a little different. I said all three given numbers 54, 72 and 90 are even numbers. (A) 9 is not an even number. so that's out. (C) 90 can't hold in 54 and 72, and neither does (D) 1080. So the only option is (B) 18. Though I won't always use this method, since it's still not so accurate
Be careful! Your first assumption was wrong. 9 is actually a factor of 54, 72 and 90. 9x6=54. 9x8=72. 9x10=90. But you could rule out C and D because a factor of a number is never larger than the number.
You should do as much past papers as you can. That is one of the best ways to prepare. On my instagram, I have the answers with a bit of working for a lot of the years. That should help.
This video just saved my life thank you!!

ooooh, 4th question is a division, not a plus sign...
Paper 1 maths is the only paper 1 I don't find easy
