Got the exact same bike. Don't know if I'll take it to Boulders when I come out to Arizona...but may go back to Wytenburg or more open trails. Will have some Dunlop Trailmax Raids on by then which I hope work well. Cheers!
I have the exact same bike and love it. I had a 2022 t7 and these hit dealers i decided to sell the t7 nd get one. A decision i don't regret.. even though on paper the 800de is 50lbs heavier that the t7 the 800de feels 30 lbs lighter
@@scottdr650sek7 thank you it will definitely be worth the effort. I am not a big fan of the music there is a channel out of Europe that has no voice or music and it works well. But my goal is to show people Arizona that may never get to visit. Again thank you 😊
Between GoPro problems overheating and microphone problems I had to deal with RUclips thinking one of my music choices was copyrighted. I purchased them from I-tunes called Rock Instrumental Royalty Free Background Music. I never had a problem until AI got involved. then I used one of there lame background choices and it messed up my voice over dub at least playing through my computer. It seems to sound ok on my phone and tablet. please comment good or bad so I can produce better videos in the future. Thank you.
Did you buy the v-strom to pair with your DR650, or did you get it to move up to a larger bike? I’m also wanting to pair my DR650 with one of the variants of the v-stroms as well, if so!
My DR 650 got totaled by a car I got broken but healing. I wanted to get a V-Strom 800 and I found this 2023 Adventure $3500 less than standard 2024 800 DE. so I grabbed it. The adventure came stock with crash bars and aluminum skid plate that i would had to purchase and install the pannier bags are expensive but remove easy. I will at some time get a new DR I see Suzuki has listed it still for 2025.The V-Strom is so big and heavy compared to the DR But I just think both of them are great bikes. and I picked the 800 because it has the parallel Twin engine its so much fun to ride I highly Recommend it I hope my rambling helps. thanks for watching.
@@garysarizonaadventures2167 that’s awesome you got a good deal, even better that you’re healing up! I’ve only sat on the 800 so far, but it felt like a Cadillac. I think the two bikes complement each other well for the ways they can be used. You should check out the channel, “on the back wheel” he has some great content on the v-strom 800 that you might enjoy.
i know its your new bike and everything must be awesome, but,i d like to ask you two questions..does it make much engine heat to the point it is very annoying and does it make engine vibrations when the revs are high, also to the point it is really annoying?
So far the engine vibration I haven’t felt I have my tachometer set to flash at 4500 RPM but that’s a flash only it is reminding me not to hold it too long. Compared to my DR650 it’s smooth. The engine heat well I am riding in 108 + degrees. Just like my DR it blows real hot I would have to ride it in normal weather. Maybe if I take an adventure north in the higher elevations. I will have to touch on that in a future video. Thank you for your questions. 👍 right now I’m battling microphone issues.
Yesterday I finally felt the vibration funny I never noticed it until I was looking for it. The heat from the radiator was hot it was 105 at the time and it depended on the wind direction.
I have the DE and confirm the vibes are there, but they don’t bother me at all, and the engine does have some hot air, I think from the catalytic converter albeit, but again it doesn’t bother me, it is a really great bike and if you’re considering one, have a test - Im sure your experience of the torque and comfort will win out. This vid is great, and despite your issues, was good to see! Keep going with these as we all have to enjoy whatever we do! Best wishes from the UK! 😀🙏
There is going to be vibes at higher speeds...less annoying than my old inline 4 yamaha. I'm installing Veridan cruise to take care of long highway stints.

Fantastic bike all the best

Thanks for the video. I'm sure you'll get things sorted-out. Music was ok.
