And yes, It is a misconception that Atlas held up the Earth, He actually held up Ouranos' wounded celestial form, the sky.

Actually poiseidon's trident is probably one of or the most powerful weapon in Greek mythology. Poiseidon can easily take over the world and us if he wanted to because we are more than 50% water and the earth is mostly water. If his trident ever struck earth it would cause an earthquake that would be felt so across the world and would swallow up the continents

Its a real shame no one seems to discuss the other Titans, such as Koios, Krios, Hyperion and Iapetos. They were the older brothers of Kronos and, as a reward for helping their brother to _“murder”_ Ouranos (each of them held Ouranos down by one of his arms and legs), they were each given control over the four corners of the world. Koios received the north, Iapetos the west, Hyperion the east, and Krios the south.

Him stepping up is poetry to signify how the standards required to have endless progression to keep up with the endless progression of time is the key feature that sets up prioritizing in this universe....those that can apply energy to earn more accurate actions are prioritized and more accurate actions occur through a progression of time which allows a progression of information that in turns allows more accurate answers as time flows so Chronos/time/progression took the lead in this intelligently designed universe

Excelent way of explaining the basics of Greek mythology. With this, you understand perfectly where the Olympian gods come from, and their battle against titans. Perfect narration
It's quite interesting to hear different versions of Greek Mythology.
Some say that Kronos wasn't a kind king, some say that the humans were created by Zeus or someone else.
I like it because that way, the greek mythology gods, monsters and heroes have different sides of the stories about them, both good and bad. People can fill in the details however they want and still follow the base of the stories

The basic story is pretty much the same with details about specific events changing depending on the the source

Uranus imprisoned his children because he knew of the prophecy that spoke of one of his children taking his throne (Kronos), who in turn lost his throne to his youngest son Zeus (when he was also aware such a fate awaited him and he instead devoured his children to prevent or delay it). Zeus was also prophecized to lose the throne to his son had he mated with Themis, but that terrified him so he gave Themis to a mortal king as a wife, and the child that was born was Achilles.

Great video, but I'll point out to any older viewers than this is very much a "Child friendly" version of the story. It doesn't say anything that isn't accurate, but if you look into the original myth, you'll find that, ahem, certain details were left out.
Erudito otidurE like how Aphrodite is technically the last titaness, because she was born from sea foam and Uranus' essence after Kronos castrated him. Or that fact that hades didn't choose Hell, he was forced to have it.

I read Percy Jackson so this interested me. Percy Jackson series and heroes of Olympus, puts it on a fun story instead of a boring facts book of Greek mythology. I love how Rick Riordan did that with all his mythology books😁

Chaos is the Primordial deity Erebus, but in a greater majority of myths, it was a combination of the great deity Erebus (Darkness & the void/oblivion/nothingness, Silence/deafness, negative/nonexistence, and the absence of creation as well as destruction), his daughter Aether (light, comprehension, creation/manifestation, existence & the heavens), his grandson (sometimes referred to as his son and twin to Aether) Saturn (Exploration, Knowledge, independence, power, celestial creation/destruction, balance & destiny) (whose symbol is the divine sickle/scythe). They have been referred to as "the chaos" many times in a singular fashion AND that they produced Uranus and Gaia through both power and union (in some myths it states that Gaia did conceive Uranus independently). In other myths Uranus is switched out with Saturn, having Saturn being the husband-son-brother to Gaia and Uranus being part of the 3 Primordial deities. Hence Saturn's own sickle/sythe being used against him.
Uranus was castrated and his severed testicles being cast into the universal seas, birthed Aphrodite (who technically would be a titan) along with several sea nymphs of varying powers.
Also Chronos/Kronos visited an Oracle that predicted that one of his children would attempt to usurp him and imprison him, thus he devoured all his children with the exception of Zeus (which Rea disguised a stone, pretending it to be Zeus).
Also, many Titans fought in the Titan Wars, betraying their own titan brethren...Many of whom Zeus betrayed later on and imprisoned. Zeus betrayed his 3 titan Cyclops uncles who forged him the thunderbolt, his bracelets and the Agus Shield (who later taught forgery, metalwork and blacksmithing to Hephestus), seeing as Zeus was not born with any inate powers unlike his other Olympian brethren (Zeus had strength, flight and basically shapeshifting...all his other abilities came from third parties or items created by his 3 uncles or his own son Hephestus, or sometimes a gift from Gaia like a golden apple).
Also, Hades was given a crown! Not just invisibility but over all souls/spirits/creatures of the underworld.
ALSO! Zeus did NOT choose who was given what over the world.
The Titans who sided with the Olympians and the Olympians themselves had believed that after the war (if and when they won), that more than likely Hades would rule as their king (Hence them making him the crown/helmet) seeing as he was the oldest male, however the 3 brothers chose to draw straws, whoever had the longest would be king of the Olympians and rule the heavens, the shortest would be Lord of the underworld and the medium would rule the seas.
Correct me if im wrong but at the end he sade Hades became the ruler of the under world; tartarus wher styx flows but dosen't styx flow in hades where Hades rules and not in tartarus. Isn't hades and tartarus difrent places.
Kronos and Chronos are two different beings. One is a Titan and the other is the Primordial of Time.
@@antonohlsson8257 Hades is the god , tartara (underworld) is the place Hades rules. When s/o says he went to Hades he means to tartara. It is like saying he went to the devil and going to hell, meaning the same thing.
@@user-kb8nq3lm2s Hades and tartaros is not the same thing, heres the werd part of greek mtyology; realms and the gods that rule them can and often have the same name and if anything tartarus is a part of the realm of hades (even if most people regards it as its own realm underneathe the underworld), other parts of the underworld includes Elysium(not 100% sure), Asphodel Meadows, the isle of the blessed, and these are just some parts of Hades
@@antonohlsson8257 True, Hades rules the Elysian fields as well ( where the virtuous peoples souls went and the kings). What I ment was that Hades is also used as a name of destination for afterlife the place that includes tartara.
