There's a pseudo ship stealth system, could make so ships won't notice a person in EVA, then make so docking hatches are just locked load doors that you can override.
I told the same thing to those sissies who complained and cried when the game came out on Steam. All you had to do was wait for Bethesda to provide a section for modders, it was the same at the beginning with fallouts... F..king bunch of simps. Everyone knows what Bethesda is like and they don't change so why this drama every time.
Good stuff dude! i'm insanely excited for this mod, honestly at this point im just gonna throw ideas at you lmao 1- maybe have the plates outside as physics objects and let the arc welder (or a modded gun) work as some sort of gravity gun from halflife so the player can just grab the plates and direct them to the ship with the gun OR let the player hold E at the plates to "grab" them and then fly them to the ship. 2- maybe even get rid of the plate system and have the player have to use the arc welder on the damaged ship systems (if the grav drive is damaged they have to shoot their grav drive with the welder, this may have some issues if players put their grav drives for example too deep inbetween habs or something but just a thought). 3- this suggestion is unrelated and might be really hard to pull off but i wonder if you can allow the player to board the enemy ship through the docking collar when spacewalking. also do you have a paypal or a patreon? Good luck man!
I cant wait for modders to sit down and start making some insane mods man I mean we already have a star wars overhaul mod being worked on even adding custom missions and plans to add the ships from the star wars universe
Currently on Xbox, we have... M. Falcon Vader's Tie fighter Padme's chrome J-tyoe Toyal Nubian Mando's custom N-1 fighter from season 3 Naboo N-1 fighter (yellow) X-wing is most likely next.
A lot of people in the comments don't seem to realize that space walking was already in Starfield. Someone used console commands awhile back to discover this by no clipping out of the ship. Bethesda bothered to create space as an actual zero-G environment, when they really didn't need to as you can't reach it without no clipping (or mods like this), which leads me to think that we are very likely going to get space walking in a future update or DLC. If I recall, this was briefly shown in the Shattered Space trailer.
They haven't released it because the engine can't let you go in EVA correctly, you can only move like on planets. No rotation allowed. You should be able to see the ship upside down if you want.
@@michelrastapopoulos7123 Yeah that's true. There isn't actual Newtonian physics involved, but what I mean is why would Bethesda bother programming the actual space environment with a zero-G if this wouldn't be accessible to reach without console commands or mods? Have you ever played classic Star Wars Battlefront 2 from 2005? If you manage to get outside of the hanger bays in that game and into actual space you'll literally just drop off the map because the developers didn't plan on players actually getting outside of the hanger bays to access space. So they didn't program anything. You don't even need oxygen. Now compare this to Starfield. Why would Bethesda bother programming a zero-G space environment (which I also think has exposure and requires oxygen) for something that players need to use console commands and mods to access? Make sense right? Like they wouldn't bother to do all that if it wasn't intended to be accessible at some point. I'm betting that Shattered Space will introduce it. You're right that it will be limited though and won't function like a true Newtonian environment. But Starfield isn't a space sim, so I don't expect it to be realistic.
@@Capt_CrimsoN Bethesda have not programmed a zero g environment , they only changed the gravity to zero (it's a simple variable in the code) and made some tweaks on the controls and animations. All you see here can be reproduced easily with a levitate sort in Skyrim. They don't let you go outside of the ship because there is no 6DOF axes (which is mandatory for EVA mechanisms).
@@michelrastapopoulos7123 Even if it's a simple code, they had no reason to do this without reason. It's an environment that wouldn't be accessible without console commands and mods. Why would they do that? Why include the "simple code" in the first place for something that 99% of players won't be experiencing? Regardless of if it is a true 6DOF axis. Why would Bethesda even bother programming an environment that is both lacking in oxygen and without gravity. Yeah, I get it. It's not a true zero-G environment. But Bethesda could have just made it that when you use console commands to get outside of your ship, the player would just "fall" until hitting some sort of surface (i.e. as what happens in Star Wars Battlefront 2 2005 and similar games). Instead, Bethesda bothered to create a space environment with specific variables. That's what Im getting at. I don't think it has anything to do with being a true 6DOF. That's not really what I'm getting at. It's more the fact that Bethesda would even bother to program anything outside of the player's ship. Even if it is "simple code". It's not just Skyrim's levitate spell either. I'm pretty sure if you console command out of the ship, there isn't oxygen either. There's no reason to have bothered programming something like that even if it's simple code for something 99% of players won't see. Unless Bethesda has plans to add on to it. Likely with Shattered Space.
Already seen comments on the nexus page and here, but will you put this on creation club? Also your seamless gravjump could be on creation club too. Anyways the reason why me and most people want this is either to get it on xbox or in my case I have the game on the xbox gamepass pc version (microsoft’s version), and on that version most nexus mods dont work like the seamless grav jump mod.
Insanely beautiful! Thank you for this! I cant believe EVA was not part of the base game. Are all space rocks mineable? There has to be some incentive to go on an EVA mission.
That's already a lot better, by the way, no chance of keeping the gravity normal inside the ship but making it zero G only after you leave it to spacewalk?
I'm not sure how much it will conflict with this mod, but until OP adds toggleable gravity, you could try a mod called "Gravity Switch", came out a couple of days ago
No chance right now. We need a mod like “Jaxonz Positioner” to keep the clutter static. The suggested “Gravity Switch” mod will conflict with this one.
@@aiDebaser I see, but currently is it possible to only trigger zero g after you leave the ship? Even if things start floating inside in the meantime, just so you can walk out instead of already being in zero G from standing up
@@SP7000SP I don’t disagree that it would be really cool. Just thought that it was funny to imagine modding another game into this game haha. But maybe
That's kind of sad.... You're really missing out and 90% of space games that exist use flat planets anyway. Only a handful of space games have planets that aren't. Off the top of my head: No Mans Sky, Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, Spore (from like 2008), Evochron, Space Engineers? and Empyrion. That's about it. Most space games don't even let you go to the surface of planets if we're being honest. I've been playing space games since the early 90s. It's only recently where space games have really made an effort to enable the player to go to the surface of planets.
I could easily see this being used as another way of breaking into ships while they were disabled.

I think the removal of sound or muffling would elevate this, like dead space remake when outside the ischimura.
