I’m ex British military and brings me to tears every time I see this. It’s so hard to watch this but an absolute pleasure to serve under all of the royal household. God save the queen.

Thanks to you also, for your service. This is, isn't it, so hard to watch, I will be a mess on the 19th, but a sense of pride compels us, to watch, to witness, a truly fitting tribute to a really special ex-military officer, and so much more besides. He went on from defending the peace and our liberty to protecting the Queen. The choice of Nimrod was beyond apt. A fine man indeed. They didn't break the mould when they made him, he smashed it to bits on the way out. Little wonder he only had to wait 17 months, to have relied on that inexorable force of togetherness for strength, for 70 years...when one goes the other won't be far behind...They were an inseparable duo, now together again, the like of which will not be seen again. I feel very proud to be British & SO proud of our Armed Forces. Thank you again. I'm not just a Monarchist, I'm a Star Wars fan too so I'll close with "may the force be with you" and God Save 👑 The King.

I can imagine- Ònly Brits and maybe Germans EXCELL in these circumstances.
As one put it after Her Majesty's passing and her funeral;"We have a pretty weird systeem...-but it wórks for us"
The soothing power of tradition which we happily are appreciating more and more in the Netherlands.
The Queen and Phillip are probably cracking dirty jokes right now.

If this song is played at her Majesty's funeral i will be in bits, this is remembering those that have given something for others, this is walking along a beach with the wife and kids remembering our parents, this is taking 3mins out of ourselves to think of others, this makes me cry every time as i get to remember...the poppy fields, the lands full of graves of forgotten soldiers, dads, sons, mothers and daughters. Very moving.

Prince Philip was always my favourite Royal, I remember him with great affection. He was a no-bullsh*t man’s man, a war veteran, and always kept us in suspense as to what outrageous yet hilarious remark he would make next. On meeting the President of Nigeria, dressed in traditional robes: “You look as if you’re easy for bed.” About Princess Anne and her horsey obsession: “Unless it’s got four legs and farts, she isn’t interested.”
