I had no problem removing harness but attaching it with the red tab was a pita. What really sucks is if your LED fails it’s a whole tail light assembly rather than a 3$ bulb!

Feel your pain 2 weeks ago tritt to take a citroen seat out to fix locking backrest mechanism had to fix it in situ as mechanically it would come out but air bag connectors where no complicated couldn’t figure out how to seperate them.Believe me I’m practical and mechanically minded 👍🇬🇧

Glad to see it wasn’t just me! I’m pretty mechanical but I really struggled with the aftermarket plug. The old one went together fine but I went through 2 after market lights. After combining the 2 I finally got it work. Nothing was more frustrating when the plug was stopping halfway.
Where I work we have a fleet of those minivans. I always reuse the original taillamp harness. None of the aftermarket harness fit.
Lots of the clips on the town and country are like that
im curious why you were changing the tail lights?? I have a 2012 town &country. Both my BRAKE lights only quit working. I too have bought new lens assemblies and they still do not work. I cant figure out what the hell is wrong with them.
What was your solution? I have a similar issue. Driver's side taillight led's weren't working properly and no brake light or parking light. Turn signal worked. Replaced the entire assembly, did not have an issue with the connector as in this video. With new assembly installed, I have the same issue as before - turn signal works but others don't.

Yes, junkyard is the cheapest, but make sure you check the condition of the item first before pulling it.

Just take it to Chrysler and tell them to repair it and pay the fee I don’t mess with cables
And that will be about $350-$375 for a tail light. Not really interested thank you. Besides when somebody tries to make it look super easy not a problem do it in a jiffy you actually think you can do it so you don’t go to the Chrysler dealer.
They wanted $400.00. I don't think so.
