Exciting news! A CROCHET KIT for this pattern is available: yarnsea.com/en/project/2151/no-sew-axolotl-crochet-tutorial-easy-quick-beginner-friendly-free-amigurumi-doll-pattern
I just made this cute little guy in a few hours and I am in love oh my goodness, I love your videos they are so easy to follow (even for a beginner like me) and everything is always so gosh darn cute!!! ❤❤
I’ve just learned to crochet and I was able to make this little guy by following your clear directions. Really appreciate how you have the pattern written on the screen while you’re doing it, made it easier for me to remember what I was working on. I had come across some of the other patterns you have made, but this is the first one I’ve done, and I’ll be back for more. The little guy I made this for (birthday present) thought it was the best, so huge win for me!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I've wanted to try amigurumi for so long and recently learnt how to crochet. This tutorial was so easy to follow and now my son has a little axolotl. Now to make my daughter one 😄
thanks so much for this pattern! i did it in less than 2 hours and im a complete beginner! i wish i could show you it! your tutorials are so detailed and easy!
thank you so much for this tutorial, i’m a beginner and have only completed two other projects so far but this came out so cute and is a perfect gift for my friend 🤍. it took me less than two hours and i love how you showed each step very clearly and made the design seem very simple
I found the book on Amazon and I don't see any of her patterns? Are you insinuating the book took her ideas or the other way around The book I found only has 10 patterns
Thank you so much! I got it taken down last month, but it looks like it got reinstated again (so the author must've tried to re-publish it on Amazon)! I'm so upset. I don't get any financial compensation, but I want to make sure it's removed because it's unfair for me as the designer to have my work stolen. :'(
@@SweetSoftiesalso! could i make the gills one chain higher? i’ve noticed mine looked smaller than yours so i decided to add one more chain❤ (edit: maybe it’s bcz i used bigger safety eyes😅 I didn’t have a 9mm one so i used a bigger one 😭)
I’ve made one with 2 shades of blue velvet yarn and I’m gonna give it to my friend who just found axolotls in Minecraft. I think she’s gonna love him 😊
Thank you so much for this tutorial I'm going to be making a short and I'm going to try to tag you in it but I've never done it before so that way you can see
I just bought the pattern but now it says I need google play books or a similar app to open, I hope it opens! Because my phone is so full I can't fit any more apps lol. Can't wait to make this big fluffy axolotl 😊❤🎉
Thank you for supporting me as a pattern designer! Sorry to hear you need an app to open; on my phone, I can open PDFs on my browser (Chrome)...not sure if you're able to try that? Anyways, if you send it to yourself via email, you can probably open the PDF preview on your email app!
I do have a couple pattern bundles/ebooks, one for my Pocket Plush collection and one for some of my no-sew amigurumi patterns! Both are in my Payhip store (see description for the link). But I haven’t added in my newest no sew patterns this year to a bundle yet. I plan to do that when I’ve accumulated enough new patterns to make a bundle!
I'll be sharing about the safety eyes tool when it comes out. It's currently in production. If you join my mailing list, you'll be one of the first to hear about it! Here's the sign-up link: view.flodesk.com/pages/638d7d3b08af91d6ddfdfa2a
What does it mean if the polyfill is coming out when I stitch into the body, like when you do the arms/legs and frills/tail. Maybe too much or not enough filling? I am just learning, so I know my tension isn’t consistent and I need to use a smaller hook size next time. Could it just be my stitches are too loose?
If stuffing is coming out it may mean that your stitches are too loose; you can go down a hook size or two to help you crochet tighter! Also, I find that when I use a yarn needle to do sewing, I sometimes pull out a little bit of stuffing by accident too. That's just unforutnately what sometimes happens when you sew. I just try to poke the stuffing back into the body.
@@SweetSofties yup, I used a smaller hook and it looks much better. Thank you so much for posting this video, our Axolotls passed away, so I’m making one for each of my stepdaughters. The only thing I’m still struggling with is the lil tail frills. I’m not sure what loops to go under for the row of single crochet. Does it matter or should they go somewhere specific?
I’m trying to make the super bulky one and I’m at the point where I have to do the gills. In the beginning of the video I can see that the bulky one has both of the colours on the gills. Can you please explain how did you do that part? (My guess is, that is the same process like the small one just with the body colour and plus one more row sc around with the dark pink colour maybe?)Thank you in advance! ❤
Hi! Are you referring to the Mama Axolotl pattern? That one is a separate design and has two colors for the gills (the free axolotl pattern shown in this video only has one color for the gills). If you're interested in the other pattern, you can find it here: payhip.com/b/kvOyl Please note that the bigger axolotl pattern is also no-sew but it's a written pattern (with photo references) only, not a video tutorial. Hope this helps!!
You can, just credit me as the pattern designer in the description with my name and site, such as: "Pattern design by Sweet Softies, www.sweetsofties.com"

@ yes you can totally do that instead!

They are actually all my patterns on the cover. Each design is made by me and those are my exact images from my blog.
