Thats such a good statement ! Vixen sounds better when they write the songs ,The current 2024 Vixen song Red sounds better and what Vixen always sbould have been , i love you Lorraine Lewis but Janet Gardiner should have done it and her power would have made that song and others, Janet is Vixen
@@tlansing18 I agree with you. It's because there's been so many versions of Vixen since Jan Kudehnemunds passing. It's went full member overhaul to 90% of them being back on the scene and then to a 50% original members down to 10% original members. If the original line up would come back and add a good female guitarist I believe they could dominate and be what they once was if not better. But all these imitation versions of Vixen has got to go. We also need material, I mean memory lane is great but we want more and dropping a new original Vixen album (of course Jan Kudehnemund won't be there obviously but Janet, Share, Roxy and whoever they select to replace Jan).
I think Vixen would have cemented themselves if founding member Jan Kudehnemund had been present verses having passed away, I honestly believe that she was the driving force that made the girls want to be cemented on a higher level. Jan Kudehnemunds passing was sudden and the break down of having what I call guest vocalists has done nothing for them. When Jan Kudehnemund passed and Janet Gardner left it was complete break down and adding insult to injury a completely different line up without original members more or less trashed them. Janet Gardner was the BEST vocalist and was perfection, not to mention she was one 4th of Vixen, Jan Kudehnemund is irreplaceable, the founder of Vixen and she was Vixen, and of course you need Share Pedersen and Roxy Petrucci to finish it of and polish Vixen to a pure gleam. All other versions of "Vixen" are solely an imitation, they will NEVER be Vixen which is proven by the fact they only do the original Vixens material and have zero new material. I don't count Lorraine Lewis's song "Red" because Lorraine Lewis was not right for the remake of the group. One song also doesn't make a new album and is still imitation. Even if Janet, Share and Roxy reformed the group with a guitarist taking on Jan Kudehnemunds roll they would have a better chance to reinvent themselves than these wanna be Vixen replacement whatevers. I'm all for the original line up and if they had a new guitarist filling Jan's roll because I believe 90% of the original line up can recreate that original Vixen vibe and release new material.
The fact we are still talking about Vixen 35 + years later proves the were a force to be reconded with ! Love you ladys !

They lived the dream ! And got more success than most ! Ask people about Vixen , they know them , thats more than 90 percent of bands from then !

Well the record label made millions from Vixen , and still does , one of the only lady groups who did make money and lots of it !
