Thanks for the review Biggy. A fantastic dial again from Seiko. And luckily the bezel lines up fine. But...for $1.250 you don't get a signed crown, a fully lumed bezel with real good lume and a bracelet that has 3 links. Yeah Seiko has a lot of history, but that doesn't mean that they have to overprice their watches. I've 4 Save The Ocean models, all with the 4R35 movement and Hardlex crystal and stamped clasp or rubber strap for a third of the money of this one. Love the Monster Pinguin. Now for this one....I'm looking for a micro brand with a stunning dial and higher grade (regulated) movement or a supurbe finished Christopher Ward with a way better bracelet. Same price or less. Sorry Seiko...
What about if I could haggle it down to $937.50(About 25% off)? I am unsure about the value of watches to be honest. (Like I have no idea how much one pays for a "6R35" etc
Thanks for sharing. In this video minute 6:22 it says that the bezel insert is black steel ruclips.net/video/oqJKQShuaio/видео.html it is not ceramic and from the look of it which is not a smooth surface it doesn't look like ceramic, I wish I am wrong as it is a show stopper for me.
I’ve got the spb213 and this case has to be one of the best diver cases ever made. The whole product line is some of Seiko’s best work.
Just a note , the bezel is treated brushed stainless steel
The glacier dial is amazing too you should check that one out too

I have been sort of waiting for this, but I recently bought a SPB213 and as they are the same case, hand and movement, I may get an Alpinist instead.
I’ve got the spb289 and the dial is amazing if you like green.
Great choice! I love the case and dial design so much, I have the 143/147 and 213 in my collection and love them all!
6 ½ inch crown.... thats a massive crown
Good Grip

6 and a half inch crown 😂😂😂
I believe the bezel is aluminum….nevertheless is not ceramic
Steel
@@EricSloferwatchreviews What the heck - what kind of magic has Seiko used to make the bezel look like ceramic and still be steel!?
