I always enjoy seeing what will come off the shelf next. History, Curiosities, useful things or complete junk, it is all interesting. great work getting this small corner done. It's been fun having three episodes in one week.
Thanks Chris, they're an interesting couple of "radios" it'll be interesting to see how they do, old radios look very cool, but they're heavy and take up a lot of space, I have my Grandfather's Pye Fenman II from 1955 which is a 10 valve beast of a radio with four speakers !
Yep Andy they do hog real estate - and tough on the shoulders moving them around! The bakelite radio sold first day in the shop - and the transmitter currently has a $60 bid on eBay! The 10 valve unit does sound like a real beast! 😊👍
That is a puzzle, what to do with a sought after bit of tech that has become a hunk of junk. I hope the right person discovers it and is able to use the big ole radio again.
A museum may possibly be interested, but they would never have it restored - there's a chance an ebay buyer may restore it! It does have a $60 bid at this stage! Thanks Juli 😊👍

You have the coolest junk. You run less a second-hand store and more a Hollywood prop shop.
I have sold things for movie props before Shane! 👍😊

Thanks Laura! I think I'm as interested as you guys as to what comes out of that shed next! 😀👍
Yes Chris, it was interesting. 👍 I had to laugh about the sticks you found. 😀
Thanks Dee. Haha, I really thought they were wires at the beginning! 🤣
Awesome episode, glad to see another shelf gone!
Thanks FF - always nice to have more space! 👍😊
My dad was a radio operator in the RAF so it’s interesting to see that transmitter. He may have used one just like it 🤗
Quite possible Barb! 😊

On the radio that has the back cut I have seen so many old tube radios and tv's have the top part cut back do to over heating.
Yep, it could need extra airflow in warmer climates, but the back panel had plenty of ventilation holes anyway I thought! Thanks Wayne & Graham 👍
Husband says, Australian armor museum has displays may need it, don’t know if they have staff who monitor eBay though
