Thanks Chris, it certainly is a lucky dip, we never know what you're gong to come up with next, another nice varied collection of items, hope hey sell well for you ! That slicer makes me wince, reminds me of when I was helping clear out our old office at work and I asked the boss "can I have the guillotine for my wife ?" (she's a teacher) he found this very funny !
I worked for a company that rented time clocks and related systems and factories would use a horn like that for end of shifts and lunch break etc. We used to run them off very antiquated equipment consisting of uniselectors which had to be programmed by rewiring them once you worked out which contacts to use. I still dont know how I managed to successfully reprogram one when I was an apprentice with no previous experience, but I did. It took two or three hours in the middle of a stinking animal skin processing factory.
Hi Chris, the shed is looking mighty empty 👍🙂 I was mentally working our a repair plan for the radio case when you said I would probably repair it 😅 We will be in Melbourne soon, we might pop in and see you both. Don't hold the radio though 🙂
Thanks Dave. Mighty empty isn't a phrase I thought I would ever hear actually! Although that's probably a bit of a stretch 🤣 Be good to catch up again 😊
I found out something interesting last week related to those LIDS. There are several different types of Stainless Steel, and NOT all of them are magnetic. So by the good looks/condition of those lids, I think they probably ARE stainless steel, jut not the magnetic type.
Yes, you are correct, there are many different stainless steel alloys. Some magnetic and some not. And some can become magnetic when formed into shapes!
Shame about the radio internals, I pulled a similar vintage radio (mine was Toshiba) out of a skip in the late 1970's. It gave me about 20 years of use before finally dying. I wonder if the horn was a smoko alarm from a building site or small factory.

Wow, I'm getting jealous of all that space you are creating Chris 😂
Haha, I think the camera makes the space look bigger than it actually is Sollers! 🤣
Can't complain about another shelf cleaned off. Maybe you can hook up that bell to a tripwire in the shed to stop people from hiding stuff out there.
😂
Haha, yep! Those damn reverse-burglars are a pain! 🤣🤣
I thought for sure we'd see some magic blue smoke escaping!
I was expecting the same Martin!!

Haha, at least you didn't ask for the electric chair! 🤣 Thanks for watching Andy 😊👍
A chefs salad of interesting items! Maybe put a severed finger prop with the bread slicer for Halloween!
Haha, a great idea Nas! Now, where did I put that box of severed fingers.. 🤔🤣
Thanks for sharing
Thanks Cynthia 😊👍

Any amount of time in a processing factory like that would be too long I suspect Steve!!! 😲😱

Nice skip find John! Yeah, some type of use like a smoko alarm is likely 👍😊
The Pyrex dishes look like they came from a Bain marie.
They could have I guess Dee, yes 😊👍
