That was so incredibly nice of Bob and Debbie! Kudos to them for gifting that swivel seat! Your actually not supposed to do anything to teak. It’s meant to be used as is.
Yes, that was super nice of them!! 😊 And that’s what we heard about teak, but we decided to go for it anyways! We like how the seal brings out the color, so hopefully it won’t flake off over time 🤞
@@JimmyandNatalie, I’m sure it will be fine. You can always sand it down if you have issues. It’s a wood that shows well over time into a beautiful patina. And there’s no problems with moisture.
Just wanted to tell you, just turned 78 and I've worked in a shop all my life. I'm really enjoying watching your build and your working together, you work well together, ELECTRIC KNIFE from the kitchen is great for cutting foam.
Reminds me of our (wife and I) Motorhome build... 1976 Ex Greyhound bus. Used many years, but the bus (and us) are retired. Bus is parked next to the house for visitor use. Today is Labor Day here in the States and my 87th b'day. Hope you enjoy your RV as much as we enjoyed ours. You two get along just great! Wife and I married 68 years - and still get along. :) One other note - Teak - does not need any finish.
Honestly, I forgot it was Monday. What a nice surprise when DeWitt put your video up and I saw beautiful Natalie talking to me (us). The build is coming along beautifully! Y'all are doing an amazing job! So very sweet of Bob and Debbie to gift you the second swivel seat 💺🎁 It really makes a world of difference. Love your positive energy!
Awesome job bby's!!! I give you a score of 10 out of 10!!! Everything looks beautiful! Its also looking comfy, cozy and well built!! A great big thank you to Bob and Debbie for your very thoughtful and generous gift of the swivel seat!!! These Cherubs are definitely deserving of it.. they are the sweetest!!! Oh I almost forgot, for future reference, most people use an electric turkey knife to cut foam rubber, but that saw seems to have done the trick just as well. Good thinking, and probably safer. Catch ya on the flip side Jimmy and Natalie!!! Sweet dreams!!! See you next week Big hugs 🍃🤗🍃
Playing catch up with your videos… you guys are the cutest couple. Your workmanship is precise. Am enjoying, very much, your story. Thank you for sharing.
I'll start by saying Bob and Debbie you both ROCK!!!! I just absolutely adore you both. I'm so excited for you both. A dinette, table AND overhead cabinet s.You have been very busy this week.Jimmy I will give all of it 10 out of 10. Because you both thought it out carefully, worked it out and finished it. I honestly didn't see the space on top til you pointed it out. Love, Respect and Blessings.
You guys are making awesome progress. The experience from building the bus is really showing. You both have really bounced back from the disappointment, if that's the right word, from the limitations of the bus. You'll be back on the road before you know it. Nicely done!
What a nice thing to do, gifting that seat swivel to you guys. So nice to have that much seating. The build seems to be coming together so quick now, and feeling very homey too. Love, love, LOVE that teak table! Can’t wait to see the kitchen build.
You two are a pleasure to watch and make a great team. The build is coming out FANTASTIC and like you said the colors are working well together + the table top is BEAUTIFUL. Any storeage even as small as the rasised floor area will become very handy. Traveling/Living in something you have created makes it even more enjoyable. Wishing you continued success and can't wait to follow the travels in your new home. Blessing
We been watching both of you putting your van together and we are amazed. Can't wait until it is completed and both of you enjoying it. Keep up the good work...John and Cheryl 🤩🤩
You two make one of the best teams I have seem. So genuine and your excitement upon every new price you install! I really enjoy watching you guys! Congrats on your beautiful van and hope the rest of the installs go as well for you! 💜
😂it’s a raised floor Jimmy 2 minutes later Natalie calling it a foot platform you Win Jimmy! Amazing Week So Much Accomplished!! Until Next Week- Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
Nooo...don't go! Waiting a whole week is excruciating...lol Luv watching your Build and Sooo Excited for you to move in and Continue with your Journey!!!!! I'm "Praying" for your Bus to Sell!!! Keep the Faith!
The gap above the cabinet might be a good thing. Less rubbing on the ceiling means less squeaking. And you can put an LED strip behind for some nice indirect lighting.
I have an idea for the over the cabinets space.. you may be put LED light there it will look awesome at night before you go to bed like lite light 🤣🤣🤣 think about that 👍🏼 love you both and you the most cutest couple on RUclips ❤️
Hey James, thank you for the Super Thanks! 😄 We'd love for you to join our Patreon! 💚 Here's the link to our page, if you're interested: www.patreon.com/jimmyandnatalie
I generally don't comment too much, but I've been following your videos for a while. Wishing you the best of luck and happy travels. I'm impressed with your content and enjoy watching the progress and places you travel. My favorite places are the Rocky Mountain states.
Teak is a beautiful wood. Over my 30+ years of residential painting we re-finished many set of teak tables and chairs. Some we just power washed, some washed and primed then painted (yuckie), Stained, poly'd, Epoxy, pretty much any product out there we've used. My opinion is natural or a latex clear. This wood also helps with bugs and is rot resistant.
Jimmy you need to watch The Great British Baking Show!! It is one of our favorite comfort shows 😋 It was SO satisfying seeing those upper cabinets go up, you guys did an incredible job! I love the idea of the "foot platform" we may need to add one to the bus lol our seats are just a tiny bit too high for my legs and that would be perfect. Great job as always, I can't wait for the kitchen!
Bob and Debbie YOU ROCK!!!….they will get a lot of use with your beautiful gift…..love the look of the cabinets and their graduated heights….that looks spectacular….the toilet is in the perfect spot….I can’t believe how quickly everything is coming together….the very best thing is the respect between the two of you…you work together beautifully….the van is going to be perfect and much easier to be stealthy…I’m loving this…♥️
Guys you haven't seen heat. I am in LA, we are stuck in a brutal heat wave. Its been so difficult to keep my dog cool, and keep cool. Guess its just hot everywhere. Very smart to work at night. Its even hot here at night. Making so much progress guys.
Great progress on the build! Was looking forward to seeing it all come together! Great edit on the video! You guys are inspiring me to do my own build! Thanks for sharing!
Looking good, you two never fail to put a smile on my face as you go through your build now if I could only convince my wife to do something like your van rather than our 28ft pull behind camper. 👍.
Protecting the teak in one form or another is important, the finish you are putting on is fine. Most teak is not stained exactly for the reason you said it’s beauty. You can use a straight edge when using your saber saw like your circular saw makes it a bit smoother cut. It’s too late now but a french cleat is a great way to hang a cabinet. Easier for you to google it than for me to try to explain it. Well done on your cabinet build, I was a cabinetmaker for 25 years. When ever possible always pre drill for screws except for pocket screws.
Great job 👏 so far. I love your attitude when it comes to building. Keep the pressure on but still enjoy the build. I’m sure you will knock ✊ it out of the park. Take care and have a great week.
Just found you guys. You are absolutely adorable and the love and respect you have for each other is sooooo refreshing in these times! Always laugh and have fun in all things and you'll be a team forever! 🐞🐞🐞
Alright you two, it’s almost time to hit the road😉 well maybe not but I’m pulling for you all.. I watched your schoolie build now I’m watching your van come into view🤘🏻 Can’t wait to see you back in the road and having new adventures🤗 Craig
Great Job! I’ve been building out my van for over a year…You are making me look bad with all that progress 😀. Thx for the toilet vent hack on the last episode, that was my project today!
It looks great. I'm so happy you're making so much progress. Great lesson from you with the bus fail. Just keep-a-going and it works out beautifully. Good for you.
Jimmy is so detailed orientated and talented! What created minds you guys have! You work so well together, and, should be proud of your decisions! Still going to Canada?
Great job! Jack in the box, LOL! I got a mental pic of him going boing! Ive seen people use elect knife carvers or like serrated bread knifes for sponge cutting, nice upholstery job!
That was so incredibly nice of Bob and Debbie! Kudos to them for gifting that swivel seat! Your actually not supposed to do anything to teak. It’s meant to be used as is.
I agree so nice of Bob and Debbie.

@@JimmyandNatalie I think the teak will be fine. I've seen it used in showers to stand on instead of tile.
@@JimmyandNatalie, I’m sure it will be fine. You can always sand it down if you have issues. It’s a wood that shows well over time into a beautiful patina. And there’s no problems with moisture.

Wow you guys are doing an amazing job. I'm so envious of your teamwork and skill level. It's so awesome someone gifted you the swivel!

A suggestion: there are small 4” folding step stools that would relieve foot dangling!
Another great video. These build periods add so much to your overall story as it shows you all making your dream happen.

Cute matching overalls 😀 Kudos for being able to work around the heat. It’s been miserable out west.
That is quality work.
Jimmy in the Box! 😂 Great progress!! So different doing a night build. Keep up the good work!! 12 out of 10, for sure.
How gratifying doing this build yourselves.
For cutting foam. The best tool to use is an electric carving knife. Yes, like the one dad used to carve the Thanksgiving turkey.
Thanks!
Thanks so much Roy!! 💚
