  • Meet Emmanuel Fourcade, an artist who has great patience and extreme dexterity, because he is able to stack stones in a very precarious balance, and in positions that seemingly defy the laws of gravity.
Stone balancing, is a discipline that consists of creating works of art with stones and nothing else, Emmanuel places stones of different sizes, one above the other, without using adhesive or any kind of support, this is done, by playing on pressure points, gravity and counterweight to produce a stone sculpture of such aesthetic beauty and serenity.
Emmanuel Fourcade. Originally from the Hautes Pyrenees and is better known under the nickname of Manu Topic on social networks.
The young Frenchman of 30 years left his work to devote himself entirely to this discipline. Stone balancing is an art, a hobby, a way of meditating, a way of life.
    Thanks for watching

3:13 People don't get confused when they come across these because they DON'T come across these. They're so precarious, they usually fall within moments. That's why they have to get the shot as fast as they can, because even a slight breeze can knock them over, let alone turbulent environments like a river full of moving water and animals and bugs and falling leaves, etc.

So many knee-jerk reactions to a gorgeous, essentially harmless, free-for-anyone-lucky-enough-to-see-it, totally ephemeral art installation. Take a breath, be still, enjoy the joy.

Please dont do this, it disrupts habitats and building them on dry land can be confused for carnes used to mark trails. When in natures please; Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but memories.

@@GreenCanvasInteriorscape You're wrong. Cairns lift substrate out of the water, and anything that lives on or under those moved rocks is going to have a hard time.

The moving of 6 stones doesn't disrupt habitats. And he DOESN'T make CAIRNS on land. CARNES refers to meat.

Please don't do this. It destroys native habitat and lowers the quality of the local ecosystem.

They have been asked not to do this because it disturbs all the creatures who use the rocks as the environment.
