Hey friends!
I was informed (Thank you, Andrea!) that 4 shadows, “Groseille”, “Cacao”, “Dahlia”, and “Baie” are formulated with Red 7 or Red 28. That technically designates them as pressed pigments, and according to the FDA are not deemed eye safe. My apologies for misspeaking in my video! I said they were all shadows, but the 4 mentioned above are technically pigments. I did not undergo any irritation, but be cautious with how you apply these.

I've been really wanting to get rid of some of the less expensive palettes in my collection and shoot for palettes of better quality. I don't own any Viseart palettes but they've been on my radar for awhile. I have separated all of my palettes and have stopped chasing the palettes that come out from every brand. Color stories will have you buying EVERYTHING. I have mature lids so I just wanna stick to what works and looks good on my eyes and shop for quality over quantity and stop collecting. ND and Viseart and on my list. Thank you for this. You're ALWAYS so thorough. 😍💗💕🙏
The last year and half I've been doing the same and I've landed that for mattes viseart is best and for shimmers the tom ford wet dry formula...I'm 49 live in l.a. And have oily skin

Milieu is pronounced mill-you (emphasis on mill) to simplify the french! It's very commonly used in the mental health field so I've had to learn to say it lol.

@@Xena395 I was explaining the Americanized way of pronouncing it. That is how every mental health professional I've encountered says it. That's also the pronunciation that comes up when you Google the word. It's okay to disagree. I don't feel it's right though to say "wrong!!!" That's a hurtful way to start a discussion.
Dear Alicia, can you pls do your top5 alltime favorite palette (all brands, ND, PMG, VA, etc.) review?
N K S I guess there is no way to help with pronunciation because there is no sound/noise in English for ”ieu”. I’m surprised that it is said like “you” in English Language. If someone is familiar with German and ever heard and tried to say „ö“, that’s how we say millieu in Germany („mi-yöö“). I know that is very hard to say for an English speaking person. And that is probably the reason why you say it like -you. Try to not be offended by the response of the French viewer. as you can see in the second reply they feel harmed very often when the rest of the world isn’t able to speak or spell the French language. I heard of somebody who was not served in a restaurant in Paris because he was guilty of the crime of not having successfully completed a French lesson at school and thus just mastered the French language down to the most common courtesy phrases and not more. It was in Paris. They live on tourism. Well, their restaurant seemed to doing well enough to get upset about and handle people badly who are to disrespectful to not learn French properly for a few day trip to France 🤷🏼♀️
Layer those coy shades over a matte or a darker shadow, they intensify beautifully

Viseart mattes are hands down the best I've used, even over Natasha and Pat. They have the most beautiful quality that blend themselves.
The coy and grande pro 2 are worth the price, but the other 12 pan shimmers aren't as big a bang for the buck.
I still have my eye on Grand Pro 2 🙈💸

GM Alicia🤗 Placed my order last night for Coy & Cool Mattes 2. Saw Mel Thompson’s video comparing Milieu to other Visearts. Since I have the Grand Pro matte, I decided to hold off on it. Cool Mattes ll has some lavenders and blue violets that I can’t wait to pair with Coy😍. Although it’s more bland looking than Milieu, Cool Mattes 2 seems like more of a complete palette vs. a complimentary palette. BUT NOW....after seeing you use Milieu w/Coy, I just might get it, as well 🤩

I’m glad you purchased the Coy palette. I’ve been wondering if the shimmers were better than the original shimmers that were released.
I bought those when they first came out and was highly disappointed in them. The Coy shimmers seem to have better pigmentation.
I appreciate that Viseart changed the packaging. Great that shadows can be taken out without having to destroy the packing. A major flaw in the original packaging were the hinges. I own 3 matte palettes and 2 of the original shimmers. And I have the Grande Pro Volume 1 (which is great). I use the Neutral matte and warm mattes the most. The hinges in both those palettes totally fell apart. I have to use a rubber band around each one to keep the lids on. That’s a shame when you pay so much for these palettes. I hope this new packaging holds up better.

kinkysweat The Grande Pro is the only one I paid full price. All the others I waited until I had some sort of discount. It helps for sure. Is the Grande necessary. Probably not. But I do enjoy using it. Their matte formulation is so very good. I have no problems with application on these 60+ year old eyelids. Love your channel my dear. 😊❤️

The Coy palette looks GORGEOUS.
I’ve wanted more of their matte formula after I got the Liaison palette. That is the first cool tone palette that looked good on my skin tone and the mattes blend themselves. The dark blue matte in that palette is so freaking pigmented but still blendable. I’ve been eyeing the Warm Mattes for a while. I have two palettes in my cart now.

That muse beauty deal is really tempting. I just convinced myself the other day that I don’t need the Coy palette and now you got me considering getting 2 Viseart palettes! Damn you Alicia you’ve done it again! Lol. 🤑
It’s a lot of money up front, but you get free stuff! For me it was worth it because I don’t have ESUM brushes. And this was an ideal opportunity!
I am a huge Viseart fan. Even if someone isn’t a pro (that would be me) the advantage of seeing the colors through the lid is a great timesaver. Plus the quality of these shadows can’t be beat. They practically blend themselves. They last all day without creasing. And the finishes are elegant. If someone wants to dip their toe into the Viseart pool, I’d suggest one of the Theory palettes, like Cashmere or Minx II. Each one of those can be a complete eye look with multiple options, including a light color for brow bone and a deep color for liner. Thanks for the video! 💚

I'm so tempted to take advantage of either the Viseart bundle or the brush case with brush set. I never could bring myself to spend $80 on an all matte palette but I did buy 4 of the Theory palettes over several months time to check out the hype. I loooove their mattes, the colors are so good with such varying undertones as you mentioned & Viseart shadows definitely give me about the best longevity of anything I own. Amethyst is still my most used & favorite purple eyeshadow palette. I was kind of let down with the shimmers in the Theory palettes however, especially compared to the mattes. But I've heard they've come out with newer & better formulas-more metallic. So, I'd probaby get the Neutral Matte & then want something with some softly colored shimmers for the lid but don't know which would be best-the Koy or the other that's often referred to as Bridal. Hoping your video helps me decide 😁

I was going to pass and wait for IMATS, but I was afraid I wouldn’t find the palettes I wanted. SO, I purchased the Milieu and the new cool matte palette with the same brown/gold pencil! I also bought the trio of double ended lip pencils. Love them! Originally purchased the pencils to bring when traveling, makes it easy and you could use one of the lip pencils as blush is need be. That is how creamy they are, yet they last! Love Viseart, I always tell myself when I use there mattes I don’t need anything else. They are just that good.

love viseart shadows and if you break it down per ounce some of the main stream palettes are actually more expensive per ounce.
Wow that plummy look with the teal is shockingly gorgeous. If you just left teal up top it would raise less questions and just seem like "woah I'm not at that level" to other people. But I'm living for the brightness. You're killing the game. I feel if you ever wanted to do a side hustle on top of this youtube side hustle just offer to do someone's eyeshadow, like, I'm willing to drop a hundo now if I ever had anywhere fancy to be.

Ah, Alicia, my favorite enabler! This video is a good one. There is another lady on You Tube (Genuinely Genevieve) who speaks very highly of Viseart. Coy would be to my liking as I feel lighter shades of eyeshadow look better on my because of the darkness under my eyes.
