One of the nice things about David is that unlike many other EE villains, he was never aggressive, never beat anyone up. He was a messed up rogue, but with a soft-centre. Hard to not like how he was with Carol - best chemistry of an EE couple that I've ever seen, and he really tried with his son, Joe. He was a good judge of character and very smart, but unable to conquer his own demons. Classic narcissist.
@@startracker5895he did have a pop a few times. Put derek down in the 90s after he had floored big alan and then once more pinged him a goodun when pat was on her deathbed. Although he wasnt a scrapper he backed it up it a few times notably vs some chancer coming onto bianca and made ricky look like a boy once or twice. That wasnt what he was about though was a smooth operator. Grant put a smackdown on him once for dancing with sharon and big alan jackson gave him a hiding against a car on the forecourt.
They should really bring David and Simon Wicks back together
