I have an Alexa that dose that because It hasn’t been plugged in for years and when I first got it it worked
I was even 3 years old when it was working now I’m 7 years old it’s not connected to the internet anymore so the red light scared me but i was talking about my echo dot 2nd generation and the big one is Not an echo dot it’s the 2nd generation big Alexa and it’s working well but sometimes it goes red like I was in the shower and I shouted Alexa to the big one because the echo dot 2nd generation because it’s not plugged in now it’s in a basket when I shouted Alexa to the big Alexa she went red I didn’t see I could tell she went red because I heard it and it didn’t understand right now she sometimes dose that and the day we got a new cat toy that evening I told it to bark she was buffering and I heard her go red but i didn’t see her go red
Now the Alexa I was talking about it’s works now

It's always loud in my house but I wasn't sure if I was just hearing things or what! But thought her voice would randomly be different and not just at the start of her response but while one voice was already mid into speaking. Noone the others said they was not hearing it. Is there a known reason for it?

It’s your wifi is either not working well or the Alexa is disconnected from the wifi

I recently wanted to change my wifi settings in Alexa app. So, as the step goes:
I switched the Alexa to setup mode and then followed the screen instructions.
But, After selecting my device in the setup mode and then it takes us to the next slide i.e., SEARCHING FOR WIFI CONNECTION. An unexpected error shows up in the screen and then a purple colour on the Alexa starts to blink. Please help me, trust me i have repeatedly tried to connect but the result is always the same.
