This is the clearest explanation I have seen on how to do a foundation chain. The closeup makes it easy to see exactly where to place the hook. Thank you.
Thank you, Sarah, for this video and all your teaching videos, they are so easy to follow. I have been skipping the first part of the stitch (the sc) and couldn't understand why mine didn't look right. The more I watch your videos of different crochet stitches, the more I want to change my DCs to other stitches. I have saved them all and watch them over and over.
Sarah, thank you so much for your tutorial! I have watched many tutorials to try to learn this stitch, and up until yours, I was baffled! I can't thank you enough for demonstrating this so clearly! 😃
It took me so long to catch onto! I had tried it on another project without success a few months ago and set it aside. Now these foundation stitches are my favourite way to start!
@@RichTexturesCrochet I never could get the hang of it either UNTIL YOUR WONDERFUL Tutorial❣️ I've heard using the foundation stitches instead of starting chain makes for a more relaxed start to a project, have you found that to be true?
Hi Sweet Sarah not sure what part of Canada you live, thinking of you & your family were not affected by hurricane Dorian🤗 being the video was uploaded I'm taking that as a positive sign! Much love to you & your family❣️🙏🤗☀️🌈
Hello Peggy, thank you so much for your thoughts! I am living in Ontario, however much of my family is in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick where hurricane Dorian did hit. Thankfully they only had minimal damage to their houses and property and power was restored within 24 hours :) all are well!
@@RichTexturesCrochet SO glad to hear your family had minimal damage! I live in Northwest FL Panhandle (Milton,FL), and have been through them as well, so anytime there is a hurricane my heart goes out and I pray for all in its path 🙏💗. When Hurricane Ivan hit here, we evacuated, and when we returned it was the best birthday of mine because I had a home to return to had to get a new roof, downed trees, and garage demolished, no power for 10 days but was so very thankfully blessed and happy to have a home🙏 Take care sweet one your "yarny crochet RUclips family" Loves You🤗🙏💗

Thank you Sarah for the BEST explanatory tutorial on RUclips for this#️⃣1️⃣❣️I've always called it the "mystery foundation chain" 🤭🤗😘

I have always wondered how that was done. It looks so much nicer than the traditional starting row. Thank you so much for sharing!
