- One of the parts I enjoy about portable operating is organizing radio kits and packing them different ways. I think I’ve found my new favorite way. Check out the video to see how revolutionary my packing idea is 😂

Hello Aaron. Starting my journey in CW. Thanks for all the great videos.
Very cool! Look forward to getting you in the log. 73 my friend
I have one from L.L bean for about 2 years now this works out great also if it rains or snows out. Very fast to set up and pick up my equipment. Thank you and have Merry Christmas to you and your family. Don N2USM🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It is definitely a convenient way to carry gear. I don’t know why I didn’t think about it sooner. Thank you & Merry Christmas! 73
good one pard - idk where to post this so ill put it here - Merry Christmas to you and ur family 73 dit dit
Thank you my friend & Merry Christmas to you! 73!
@@w4arb much obliged
Haha, I just happened upon an LLBean tote someone was throwing out the other week. I'm not too proud to help myself to the occasional roadside treasure. My portable ops these days require some amount of hiking but when I'm closer to the car I've been known to use a tote. The new (to me) one even has the zipper top.
I like the paddle weight thing. Nice tip.
I like the format of your videos, very relaxing to listen to and work on my CW copying. Subbed.
Man that’s a great find! I would have grabbed that too. Thanks for the kind words & 73!
I've used totes to carry things and to keep my butt dry on a wet bench, hi hi
Good use! 73!
your content is great, and I love the modular system. But let’s admit it, your wife gave you the tote. 😅
Thank you! Surprisingly, I bought it myself 😅 but the leather toiletries bag that the antenna is in, that’s from my wife for sure. LOL
Was wondering about the jewelers anvil. Where did you get it and how much? I’m assuming that the paddles are magnetic and the anvil has a base of some sort of Ferris material. Is that correct?
Hi Perry! It’s good to hear from you. Hope you’re doing well. It’s a round piece of steel with a chrome plating over it. So magnetic keys stick to it quite well. Here’s the link to the one I bought: amzn.to/3NrWLA3
They are usually about $10-20
How much room is left in the lens case after you put the radio in it? Or does the radio take up the complete case?
i have the Windcamp cage on my 705 and there’s still a couple inches of extra space. i’m still able to fit the radio, a spare battery, the mic, and a USB charger.
