It is impossible not to smile watching this video and listening to Molly sing this song. It's equally impossible not to get emotional as the epicness of the song sinks in. I too would love to visit Husavik myself. I want to visit the actual bar and hear them sing Ya Ya Ding Dong. If I had my way I'd love to hear a collaboration between Amy Lee, Molly and Floor Jansen.
Hey from from Sweden 🇸🇪 This is Molly Sandén She is the real Singer of all of the songs !!!! And yes She sings it in Husavik, listen to her on her instagram , She sing in a church in Husavik. Its WOW.....
She is absolutely wow, however the writer and producer of the song Husavik stated Rachel and Molly’s voices were combined for all the tracks in the movie and soundtrack.
@@LegionGames2076 Yea of course but its just Molly who can sing i think ... They compined just beacouse They have very similar voice, i am proud of her!! And of course Rachel is a very good actor.
Rachel can actually sing. The director David Dobkin wanted Rachel to sing from day one. They hired Arianna Grande’s vocal coach for Rachel. However they only had three months to record the songs, get the lighting cues and get to Eurovision 2019 to film. So Savan Kotecha who wrote Husavik and produced it is the one who combined Rachel and Molly’s singing voices because yes they were so similar. I’ve been meaning to make another video with the new information I’ve discovered from the movie. It’s probably my favorite movie ever, lol!
@@LegionGames2076 This is not entirely true. Sigrit (Rachel) sings this song in the hotel room scene but the stage performance was done by My Marianne (Molly Sandén) and Will Ferrell. The rest of the tracks is mostly Rachel though. Rachel is a talented singer, that was one of the reasons she was cast as Sigrit. But Husavik requires a professional singer. Also, the impressive final note in the movie is computer made.
Great reaction video. I can't believe the Oscars cut off the 2nd half of the song. It was an astonishing performance.

Amazing voice and the song is awesome.
I think the reason that Oscar’s cut the song is because they were hoping that people would like the one song they chose to win the Oscars and were afraid of the backlash that they were gonna get for picking a WAYYYY inferior song to actually win because of US politics and people being scared not to give half of the Oscars to black people.. I mean like half of the Oscars liters went to people or movies that were all about black people.. seriously.. the best animated film was about a black guy. Best makeup, best song, etc., etc., went all to either the Black Bottom movie, or the Soul movie, or the Black Jesus movie.. I was like WTF is going on lol.. this year the Oscars CLEARLY overcompensated and the price of that was the loss of this song.. I listened to all the other nominated songs, and none of them compared to the quality and overall performance and greatness of this song. I really thought that people were awarded the first prize for being the most talented, not for fear of what’s going on socially or surrounding events.. but I was wrong.. and got super disappointed with Oscars. I didn’t care if all the other stuff went to black people. I only wanted this song to win. But.. if you look at the numbers of how many people watched Husavik on RUclips vs. the winner, Husavik is clearly the people’s choice, and not the yet another Rihanna remake, which is exactly what the winner sounds like lol...
Husavik is absolutely the people’s choice to win! Hands down.
