  • After getting caught in the worse weather and road conditions that I've ever ridden in, I need to address some issues with my helmet. Specifically, my visor. In this video I go over how to select the correct version of Rain-X and apply it, as well as Cat Crap to address fogging, to a motorcycle helmet.

Nice work glad you made it out of there safely. I have the same transition visor that you do and have been using RainX plastic. It works well. Gotta say I’ve never cleaned it with the isopropyl. I’ll need to do that and do the application the same as you did, I will give the cat crap a crack as well, thanks Dave 👍🏻🇦🇺

Cat Crap sounds like a joke at first but when you realize that it is actually "a thing" and that it works (mostly), it is no laughing matter. We use this on our job site to help reduce the fogging in our safety glasses. While it's not 100 percent full proof, it is 100 x's better than not having it at all. Nice work getting out of that stormy situation my friend

    How did the RainX do?

I've only been in a light rain so far so I can't tell how effective it is in a downpour yet. But I'm heading out later this week for a 5 week trip and I fully expect that I'm going to get drenched at some point. ⛈️ 😂 I'll post an update after that happens. I will say that I was in a situation last week in the mountains where I would have expected the visor to fog a bit. It did not. So I'm pretty sure that the Cat Crap is effective.
