I am Mostly sure (%93.44) sure the Zaku I Origin NEVER had a command antenna like the Zaku II did, nor did it have a knuckle shield...Again like the Zaku II
Man i wish that long rifle was done in 1/100 scale aswell. I want to find some sort of sniper rifle type design that isnt like the ground type version.
I got the kit and it had ALOT of spare parts, like some black versions of pieces i already put on and some pieces i don't remember using. I'm confused! Help!
Relax! You didn't mess up anything. Those are just leftover parts because Bandai reuses runners from other kits and some parts aren't used. Look in the Parts List in the manual and you can see parts that have an X on them are not used.
just got mine a few weeks ago, it's actually pretty cheap for an HG Origin kit.. 1700 yen and you get nice detailing, great articulation and a very nice set of accessories, not to mention a few option parts. I'll have to agree with the Gundam Local Type. 2000 yen but I can't see anything mind-blowing with that kit. The runners are even sparse. still, I'm gonna get it. I like it enough to get it as soon as it comes out.
yes, there are 3 small shoulder parts for the right shoulder, a ball joint for a shield (slender), a flat bit for normal and the bit that allows the denim shoulder cage
Not sure if anyone will read this since its an older video, pretty excited when this came out since its a "true" mass produced ZAKU I, now i'm waiting for a "true" mass produced ZAKU II, abit hesitant to buy the Type C/C5 because I feel like it's a variant of the ZAKU II exclusive to the colony drops in the early part of the One Year War.. also the color is slightly different from the traditional ZAKU green
Amir that's the point of the origin line though, you're not going to get the late type model of the suits represented in the kits, maybe the Gundam and guncannon and guntank because those in their final form were still prototype.
I like the HGUC Zaku I Sniper kit just cause with the backpack and knee it looks more specifically like a sniper unit. But the general detail and articulation of this kit are really. Buy both and kitbash them!

It's simply a death trap, one hit from enemy and everything going to flame. No wonder they stop putting extra ammo on the shoulder shield with Zaku II.
You could give it the old Zaku I's 105mm machine gun if you have it. Even better, you could buy the Zaku I Sniper which comes with machine gun along with its sniper rifle.
Yep, side-cutters (aka nippers), a hobby knife, and some sand paper or sanding sticks would be good if you can. Also a set of tweezers (aka pin set) is helpful for placing stickers.
Kritty Kat you messed up. the origin line is so good that when you put together any older kit it's going to feel like s***! even between Thunderbolt and origin kits

This may or may not be common knowledge, but you can use the sticker sheet as a mask/ stencil for painting the Mono-eye

if anything seam lines add realism, if you're building a 80+ foot tall mech suit you don't want to try and move a 3000 pound shoulder pad all at once.
Shaldur prime tank hulls like that of the m4 sherman were usually casted in 1 or 2 pieces and each one will weigh 10 tons at least

I got this kit and it has a secret feature if you turn the neck part you can turn the eye without taking off the head.
I think you forgot to mention that the side skirts can slide backwards and over the back skirt to allow the leg to kick higher

I definitely think the old HGUC zaku I is better in some ways, it has more unique accessories and near the same amount of articulation.
It makes me sad that the ammo drum on the machine gun is on the top and not the side. Seems like a betrayal of the Zaku 1.
You could give it the old Zaku I's 105mm machine gun if you have it. Even better, you could buy the Zaku I Sniper which comes with machine gun along with its sniper rifle.

All you need are side cutters and a hobby knife or you can even you just a normal cutter in place of the knife. (or at least that's what I use.)
