Edwin McCain is one artist to definitely see in concert. He puts on one hell of a show. The smaller or more intimate venue the better. This allows him to really interact with the audience. Several years ago I was fortunate to see him as the opener for Hootie & The Blowfish, in Charleston, which is in my top 3 concerts of all time.
Love this song. I have picked this for my first dance at my wedding because the lyrics says it all about me and my soon to be husband...we have been searching for each other for a lifetime. And now that lifetime has come...

My biggest regret, Edwin was playing free on the streets of Charleston SC 91-93 and I did not make it to see him. I now have all his cds . God forgive me that I did make an effort to see this incredible musician and person.

this version of this song is waaay better than the album version! it's a tad annoying when artists/producers feel the need to add layers of overdubs, string ensembles, synthesizers to a song that is more effective & beautiful stripped down like this (james blunt - miss America is another example of this).
p.s. my wife walked down the aisle to 'could not ask for more' at our wedding in august :)
